    What grease has done for my 4c hair:
    - Drastically reduced shrinkage
    - Retained moisture for over a week (without re-moisturizing)
    - Changed my hair texture * not hair type *
    - Reduces breakage and tangles (because of retained stretch and moisture)
    Grease is the “sebum” that my kinky hair was in need of all this time 👍🏾 not oil, or butter. I think more type 4 people need to give this a try. It will change their perception of their hair drastically. Most haven’t seen their hair in it’s best state yet because they don’t know what it’s missing.

      I must try this cos my hair wouldn’t stop breaking or shedding. Please for how long will you advise to leave your protective style such as braids / twist ?

    • @izzyizzy1717
      @izzyizzy1717 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @@_kayceemil Usually I keep mine in for about a month. I wouldn’t go longer than 2 months but that may work for you, as long as you’re still taking care of your hair within the style. That’s why I prefer braids. I wash my braids when they get dirty, and just coat my hair with leave in moisturizer and grease within the braids. My hair grows very well when I take care of it in a protective style. I hope this helps!

      Have faith in JESUS CHRIST as LORD and SAVIOR for HE SAVES from hell❗️
      *What is the Gospel?*
      The true gospel is the good news that God saves sinners. Man is by nature sinful and separated from God with no hope of remedying that situation. But God, by His power, provided the means of man’s redemption in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Savior, Jesus Christ.
      Ephesians 2:8-9
      For it is by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of GOD, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
      Romans 10:9
      9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
      JESUS CHRIST can come anytime!
      Just Believe ❤️ Love you and GOD BLESS

    I’ve been natural for nearly 10 years and the growth is practically non-existent. I’ve tried so many oils but my scalp and hair gets really dry, particularly in winter. I’m going to go back to water and grease. My mum used it on my hair when I was growing up and my hair and scalp was always thriving. I’m 100% going back to grease and water.

    I started using grease again a couple months ago and my hair has never felt better 🤗 My 4C hair used to feel so dry and fragile and no oils or butters helped.. I came across your videos and went to the beauty supply store and got me some good old blue magic and never looked back. My hair is so thick and shiny now and it’s retaining length. It feels strong but still so moisturized soft and healthy. This is what my hair needed all along. Growing up we used to call it hair food, it truly has my hair feeling well nourished.

      Grease is a sealant and is supposed to sit on your hair. Most hair greases contain a lot of plant extracts and lanolin, which some people by be sensitive or allergic to. Aside from Vaseline, Royal Crown is probably one of, if not the most, minimal hair grease on the market. It only contains petrolatum, olive oil, and fragrance.

  • @AshleyOra
    @AshleyOra 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I use grease. When I tell you that is the best decision I have ever made, its real deal. Did a chop January where my length was mid neck. Its october now my hair is at the length on my upper back. To tell you the truth for me to grow that length to my back prior to my heat damage in 2019 it took me 4 years to grow my hair. It only took me 10 months to grow my hair that long. My regime back than I used water based cream moisturizers. I won't use them again.
    I learned, by African women, you are not to place grease on your scalp because it blocks oxygen from your scalp nor air can go through. Your scalp needs oils not grease or beeswax. Its too thick. To put grease on your scalp causes dryness and other problems to your scalp. Grease, beeswax and butters belongs to the hair not scalp.

      Actually, grease is noncomedogenic (does not clog pores). It is therefore very safe to use on the scalp, especially if you have a dry scalp. Dermatologists recommend that people with dry skin issues even use Vaseline (petrolatum) on their bodies and faces so use on the scalp is not an issue. It is actually less likely to clog the pores than oils and butters, which are typically more comedogenic than grease.
      Please, let’s not spread harmful misinformation.

    • @AshleyOra

      @@EfikZara grease on the scalp is not for everyone. My niece suffered from bad scalp from putting grease on her scalp. I advice not to and her scalp is okay. So its not misinformation. Its not for everyone. I don't listen to everything what dermatologist say because they don't know how to take care of black people hair. The reason I say not to because I get my source from African people, African women. People here in America are trying to figure out how to take care of their hair. I went back to the source and its not here in America.

Plus what most don’t realize is when they say to only buy black owned but they buy their products from target or Walmart or Ulta which are all non black owned companies. Those companies already bought those products so buying them from those companies they are just supporting non black businesses while only using black created products.
