I was an air force cadet in South wales from 98-2000. Our building was on an actual army barracks site. We were lucky enough to have use of the firing range. I put a lot of hours on the old No.8 training rifle.
Awesome video! I just went to my first online cadet class as an air cadet! Just woundering could you do a video on your flight suite, patches prep rank slipons ext?
This is very interesting, do you you guys fire live firearms? Here in the Australian Air Force Cadets we shoot live bolt-action rifles, only on a range. Your range protocol is practically identical, which I find a cool part of operating procedure. I have always enjoyed learning about foreign cadet services, I enjoyed the video and have a lot of respect for your level of information as well as editing. Good job.
We shoot air rifles with ball shaped pellets as ammunition, though from what I heard from army cadet friends they have .22 calibre firearms for summer train.
Most Air Cadets shoot air rifles in their squadrons as well as competitions and biathlons, but a handful of the larger squadrons also have .22 rifles, and have (nonfunctioning) Lee-Enfield rifles for drill and parading
Yes, you do. The cadet uniform and most cadet equipments are officially DND property. To keep such items without authorization would be considered theft.
The cadet programme welcomes all those who're between ages of 12-18. My friend who's 15/16(I can't remember which) recently joined, and he's giving some fine comments.
Which idiot puts a target in front of a door? Thats a big safety violation, even in it is an emergency exit. Always know what is in front and behind Youri target.
Very nice video. I’m a level 3 but have not been on the range for a while, thanks for the refresher :)
No problem 👍

you should do a ftx video!!!
It's on the list.
Do you have to return your uniform when your finished cadets? I saw some you need to return it but not all.
Yes, you do. The cadet uniform and most cadet equipments are officially DND property. To keep such items without authorization would be considered theft.
Hello Cadet,. Can I get permission from you to use a portion of the video for a teaching lesson.
When are you coming back
Hey I’m an Fcpl and I end up as squadron commander every second night (ish) does that happen often
Yes, if there are not enough higher rank NCO's in the squadron they rotate to the next highest ranks.
should i join am 15 and i was thinking about it
i knew cadets who joined at 16 and still got stuff out of the program

are you supposed to iron your ftu????
No, I do not believe so, but I am unsure.
@@Tyke556 ty im new and i assumed that it didnt need to be ironed if it was a field uniform but i thaught i should confirm
FTUs are intended to be low maintenance and do not require ironing
Correct!
I like men

For your information that door goes to a storage room and is only accessible by that door on the inside of the building.
