How to polish Cadet boots
มุมมอง 687K4 ปีที่แล้ว
In this video, I go over how to polish a brand-new pair of Cadet parade boots. Btw the boots in the thumbnail are mine. Just used a different pair in the video to show you guys the process from start to finish.
eh thanks eh but how hot should the water be
Your air cadet videos helped me thanks
Nice video. Very informative. But please help me; I can't get a shine on my leather work boots to save my soul. I'v tried everything known to man and experimented with every technique and medium for years, right out of the box boots and old boots. Is it me or is it the leather? It's almost as if the supple leather is too porous and the wax or polishing oils never completely dry. I generally wear Red Wings, Carolina's, and ThouroughGood's. When I was a kid in the 70's and 80's, they would always shine up to a mirror finish. Your help would be greatly appreciated
Hi, I really need help. In the video you start from a brand new pair and get mirror shine in 4 minutes. I've been literally trying for so long but I haven't achieved this. One of my friends said it took him two hours to get a mirror shine. If you could offer me some advice that would be great
I’m having a hard time getting train tracks out of my pants, any tips?
Thank you! Am in JROTC and I really needed this 👍
RAF Cadet here, you guys know your stuff, my shoes better than ever, thanks a bunch!
We used to have to polish the part of the sole that didn’t touch the ground
Crazy. This shit is a skill fr.
thanks for this, I have a SAA camp on Saturday and am trying to remember what I was taught.
I spent way too much money on saphir parade gloss but this looks just as good Thanks
how do i get liquid shine off my boots
"a liitle bit of water" *The jug* -🦆
hi there, is it possible if you can tell me how to put your name tag on your tunic
Bro are u out of cadets u have no more content
I already know the ranks but I find your video useful (I'm a corporal)
I didn't know the name of some of them in English though cause we are in Québec :)
I am saying this as an army cadet, the easiest way and quickest way to form your beret is ironing it, Iron the formed side as you would with pants or tunic, then just wait for it to dry
they say not to get the black leather part wet around the beret because it forms mold, i don’t know if that’s true or not, but i’m not risking it. 😬
It did NOTHING! IT MADE MY BOOT BLACKER! THANKS YOU GETTING BE IN TROUBLE
Did it the damage the boots?
@@InspireTheFire117 no it just made it black and i later found out you have to do the layers 20 times
Am I supposed to do that to the entire boot, or just the toes?
One question when would i be able to take a rifle excursion
Where can I buy one in Canada for at home practice
So, I am joing the RCAC (Air), and I am wondering if the parade shine from kiwi is any better than the kiwi stuff he showed here?
Upload more! :)
Very interesting as in sea cadets from ordinary cadet(OC)- to the rank of master cadet(MC) your called cadet or MC surname. From Petty officer second class(PO2 to petty officer first class(PO1) your addressed as P.O. Or PO1 last name. And for chief petty officer first/second class your called chief or cox’n. Sir/Ma’am is reserved for officers of the Royal Canadian Navy. Interesting that your giving your senior cadets the same respect as RCN officers.🤣🇨🇦
I remember the days of being a legendary air conditioner
Very nice video and refresher. Do you have any tips or advice to get the Marksman badge? Thank you 🙏
Always use a seam ripper from the back when possible. 4:00
What boots are those?
Parade boots
Are they supposed to be slightly shiny or matte?
Can you do the same thing to parade shoes
What is your rank and squadron
in the wise words of zach hazard "take beret out of plastic bag. cry for hours"
I would assume no trench in the case of air as it is a style only adopted by some army regiments?
My my flight Sargent said that the inner liner needed to be cut out but I'm not a 100 percent sure it that's what I do. Can you plz respond so that I have the opinion on another person thx.
you know this kid is good when he whips out the saphir
Our officers don’t trust us with FRH’s 😂
Does this work with Brown Boots?
yeah, just replace black polish with brown polish. brown doesn't shine as well as black so you won't get the same results.
I spent many hours polishing boots while I did national service back in '91. And I've hardly polished shoes or boots ever since.... 🤣 Dont even own a pair of leather shoes anymore.
thanks i will try it on my berret
Just done it! 😉
Ngl, it's considered blasphemy in my squadron to use anything other than kiwi, so imma stick with that lol
This is dogmatic thinking. I used Kiwi for years, and yes, with the right skill it works. But Saphir is a superior product that is easier to work and is objectively better.
@@TheeYellowDart oh damn, then I might have to switch to that
I like men
Thank you so much for this video! Was able to help my son mold his beret from cadets!
Thank you man really appreciate it, helping me pass the unit inspection for JROTC. 👍
The powter drinks kept me alive 😅
Btw your have to do everywhere not just the toe
You can also do that in the shower to directly do it on your head
What boots are these?
I'm in the Civil Air Patrol USA hopefully this can maybe help me
i was told to never get the leather strap wet
