EPIC!!! I came to this by watching Symphony of the Night Walkthrough first, then Lords of Shadow 1 and got really infected ... all those landscapes, interiors, music!! I just love Gabriel, his downfall and demonic rise. Really a good game! Can't get enough information and scenes! Thank you for this! I'll keep on siting in front of the screen like a zombie and watch ...
It really is a visually stunning, exciting and action packed game and very popular because of that, clearly inspired by the Universal Studios monster movies and the 2000s Van Helsing film . This game heavily improves on the excellent 2010 Lords of Shadow 1, I loved the modern setting and the cut scenes too. Wish there was a third game

It's not underrated at all, especially compared to first one which is alot better. Gameplay where you explore and fight is good, but these "stealth" fragments ruined game for me personally.
If I had a nickel for every time Robert Carlyle played a character who was once good but became tainted by dark power and became a villain feared by all, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice, right?

One of the best underworld games ! First and second game have amazing graphics and storyline ! If you ask me , The Witcher games are nothing in comparison with Castlevania !
Is this game part 2 of a trilogy? Does anybody know if part 3 is coming soon? Is it reccomended to play part 1 before playing part 2? +Rick W well you don't really have to play los 1 because in the beginning it gives you a recap of the first game (but personally i thought the first game was great except for the fixed camera angles) but i highly recommend to play the first and yes it is a trilogy but their is no part 3 because it goes los 1 then mirror of fate then los2 but like i said you can literally just play this game without playing the other ones because in the beginning it just gives you a recap of los 1 and mirror of fate I hope this helps :)

Very nice gameplay by Rajman. Best I've seen in many a walkthrough and love the no-commentary option. Some players incessant rambling is really annoying and so are their poor gaming skills. My only concern is that this seems to have a LOT of "hand-holding", (hand grips light up, buttons light up, etc).
i hate how people always judge games like this based on what the earlier titles were like! they think that all the rest must be like them. come on people, do you have no concept of change? it's LOS not SOTN. i personally like this one more. but if you like the old ones more, fine. i won't judge you based on that, but i will judge you if you judge others as wrong when it's just about personal opinion. if you don't like, it ignore it.
Change is okay in games. To an extent. This game isn't even the same genre as the other games. I think that this game surpasses the boundaries by waaaay too far. This title isn't worthy of being called "Castlevania". Castlevania has always been loved by fans for its gameplay, thus, making them buy the next game. This game is nothing like the others.

It's kinda true, if the original castlevania had been released today (but with better graphics) I don't think anyone would buy it, and it would be the same if they released a castlevania in the same style as the old ones, that was kinda proven with SOTN. Personally I love these two games, I think they're really fun and a lot more fun than the old ones were, though SOTN is still really good too.
They should make a Twain player trilogy. In which we get to experience an entirely new dimension of Castlevania. The two illustrious vampiric exemplars On a dynamic Quest to amass power and put a stop to a all new rising and depraved threat before it usurps power and control and reeks havoc and tyranny upon the world.
the guys that made this game & the first one should make the next devil may cry this game should be the standard for capcoms devil may cry franchise IMO.
with all do respect castlevania lords of shadow 1 not necessarily 2 was a great game with a wealth of good content and challenge TRUE! ninja theories reboot was a shallow boring story in a trendy generic emo way but it at least had a decent first attempt at the combat gameplay.. though not perfect with that god awful scoring system still i personally feel devil may cry needed a world design overhaul... after devil may cry 4 it felt like the devs lost all sense and gave up on the story and started copying Final Fantasy.... still the reason i say lords of shadow should be the standard for the next devil may cry is that there game seemed to have the right balance between eastern & western influence though they should definitely bring back the original dante voice actor if and when the next game is made.......PS. in no way do i mean disrespect with my comment everyone is entitled to there own opinion this just happens to be mine.also i should mention i prefer lords of shadow 1 as more of an influence than lords of shadow 2.

thats how i felt about dmc, of course i was wrong the story was embarrassing and boring though the gameplay was better than i thought it would be but still not as good as i wanted it to be it kinda felt slow and clumsy going through all the weapons in combat especially those stupid Demon & Angle weapons the game over all felt like a syfy B movie.

I loved the dash in the game it slowed down the time little bit just like how a speedster moves. Makes you feel the amazing speed of Dracula.

Is this game part 2 of a trilogy? Does anybody know if part 3 is coming soon? Is it reccomended to play part 1 before playing part 2? I haven't played a Castlevania game since Super Castlevania on SNES and I've been wanting to check out the newer games! Any advice and help on this would be awesome! Thanks!
+Rick W well you don't really have to play los 1 because in the beginning it gives you a recap of the first game (but personally i thought the first game was great except for the fixed camera angles) but i highly recommend to play the first and yes it is a trilogy but their is no part 3 because it goes los 1 then mirror of fate then los2 but like i said you can literally just play this game without playing the other ones because in the beginning it just gives you a recap of los 1 and mirror of fate I hope this helps :)

Very nice gameplay by Rajman. Best I've seen in many a walkthrough and love the no-commentary option. Some players incessant rambling is really annoying and so are their poor gaming skills.
My only concern is that this seems to have a LOT of "hand-holding", (hand grips light up, buttons light up, etc).

i hate how people always judge games like this based on what the earlier titles were like! they think that all the rest must be like them. come on people, do you have no concept of change? it's LOS not SOTN. i personally like this one more. but if you like the old ones more, fine. i won't judge you based on that, but i will judge you if you judge others as wrong when it's just about personal opinion. if you don't like, it ignore it.
Change is okay in games. To an extent. This game isn't even the same genre as the other games. I think that this game surpasses the boundaries by waaaay too far. This title isn't worthy of being called "Castlevania". Castlevania has always been loved by fans for its gameplay, thus, making them buy the next game. This game is nothing like the others.

It's kinda true, if the original castlevania had been released today (but with better graphics) I don't think anyone would buy it, and it would be the same if they released a castlevania in the same style as the old ones, that was kinda proven with SOTN. Personally I love these two games, I think they're really fun and a lot more fun than the old ones were, though SOTN is still really good too.

with all do respect castlevania lords of shadow 1 not necessarily 2 was a great game with a wealth of good content and challenge TRUE! ninja theories reboot was a shallow boring story in a trendy generic emo way but it at least had a decent first attempt at the combat gameplay.. though not perfect with that god awful scoring system still i personally feel devil may cry needed a world design overhaul... after devil may cry 4 it felt like the devs lost all sense and gave up on the story and started copying Final Fantasy.... still the reason i say lords of shadow should be the standard for the next devil may cry is that there game seemed to have the right balance between eastern & western influence though they should definitely bring back the original dante voice actor if and when the next game is made.......PS. in no way do i mean disrespect with my comment everyone is entitled to there own opinion this just happens to be mine.also i should mention i prefer lords of shadow 1 as more of an influence than lords of shadow 2.

thats how i felt about dmc, of course i was wrong the story was embarrassing and boring though the gameplay was better than i thought it would be but still not as good as i wanted it to be it kinda felt slow and clumsy going through all the weapons in combat especially those stupid Demon & Angle weapons the game over all felt like a syfy B movie.

I like the back story, but one thing to be certain of is that Dracula wasn't the only foe that needed to be afraid of: Satan himself.

Sort of, but it's an actual reboot of the original game from the NES. Everything is mostly retcon or stayed the same for the lore of the game.
It's a different timeline. Dracula isn't a Belmont in the original, and Alucard and Trevor were only friends
