Hey Gladiator, thanks for the tip!
Casey Sheep seems to be building up a collection of really nice little add ons - or should I say *extensions* ... (aarrghh!! 😠)
The first of his that I bought was his neon-sign add on - perfect for Chinese takeaways, but I do realise that your heroic bronze age scenes of blood, sweat, and toil wouldn't need many of those.
But, a recommendation from you is worth a lot, and it was also nice that you took the trouble to explain that, actually, there's another add on too, which does open water really well, in addition to this add on, and they both have their optimum use cases.

I believe that in tandem these two Ext…- Addons are great for all uses :) Haha yeah I saw the Neon sign addon but not much use for me, sadly 🤭

Is there a solution for creating realistic waves and foam where water meets rock?

Well, the foam buildup is part of this shader, and you can play with the settings... The key is using Ambient Occlusion node and break its effect up with Noise so it looks like foam.

You can make a shader like that yourself, for example using this tutorial th-cam.com/video/0SJ-__0gK_k/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Jds3WS0R7m0UN_Uk but I really like the speed and convenience of this RealWater addon ;-)
