Just got VPS Avenger 2 during the 50% off sale, and your channel was my first stop for tutorials. It took me about 3 hours to finish this 16 minute video because I kept pausing to experiment with all the parameters. I’ve already created six presets I’m quite pleased with, and I feel like I've only begun to tap into its potential. Great tutorial mate, thanks for sharing!🤘
Yes, John Audio tutorial for Avenger. Hands down the best synth on the market, IMO. Sounds amazing and is not hard to use. Dont be put off by the perceived complexity, it only becomes complex if you make it so. One oscillator with basic modulation and effects is enough to create some amazing sounds. The effects are worth the price of admission themselves.
This is so great. I found this plugin a bit overwhelming, but now i have the courage to start using it. Thank you for a great tutorial. Looking forward to watch the coming ones!
Another great tutorial, Jon. I'm very happy to see you giving some love to this under-appreciated synth that in my experience rarely shows up on TH-camrs' "my top favorite synths" lists. I initially found the GUI to be a bit challenging/unorthodox and look forward to revisiting it with you.
Great video. Too bad TH-cam only lets us slow down by 0.5x and not 0.8x-0.9x. Would prefer that Avenger was 100% of the screen. Can you please cover in your next video, arp and drum latching? Thank you!
Thanks for the Video. I learned great stuff and I’m impressed with avenger, also the FX are really good. I would like to be able to use the amazing reverbs it has with other sounds but I think that is not possible😢
ya, the effects are amazing on board right?!! The alternative for using vengeance effects with a different vst as a plugin- they have 2 fx chain processors that are top notch that you can buy and won't regret
Hello! Thank you for your great videos that you have posted on Yuutube. I wonder if you have some one video for how to install VPS Avanger from scratch and how to use it in DAW programs?? Sincerely
I've now figured it out. By macros I meant the MIDI commands to control the Avenger buttons with a MIDI controller. The problem was that I couldn't find anything, but now I know that to save macros you have to click on System and then on MIDI. I have version 2.2.0 and strangely enough you have to press the right mouse button in the left window to load or save the macro settings. And by the time I figured out that you can only import or load your created macros on the left side of the whole window, it had also taken 5 minutes. Why the right mouse button only works in the left window is still a mystery to me. But I still have one question, and that is: I now have one macro setting for my M audio Code 49 controller. I still have an Akai MPK Mini, can I use it in the Avenger 2 without opening a second instance in the DAW. And with that, create the macro in window 2 for the Akai Mini Controller for that. Because I can create up to 4 macro windows bottom right and thus save and import settings for 4 different MIDI controllers to macro windows 1-4?. But I noticed that the saved macro settings are not loaded when reloading the Avenger and I have to load them again manually: Or is that just the way it is that they are not loaded?
The video mentions a custom init patch and a link that is supposed to be in the video description. I did not find. Could you please let me know where to get it? Is it available in the Facebook group page?
I just want to know how to make a song out of the sequences, as in how to sequence it and make it my own not just play a loop that sounds like everyone else, do the loops have fills etc? If I edit a drum sequence to be a build up then I lose the original sequence right, or if not how do you switch between parts. I don't know where to start with this. The only way I know is multiple instances of avenger and then edit in daw
It would be useful if you could speak a little slower, or even better, more normally, so that the translator can follow along! He speaks so fast it's like the devil is after him!
I just got this bad boy. I have no idea why its not at the top of every vst list, but man am I glad I found it.

This is such a great thing to do. Teach people how to get the most out of this amazing synth (Workstation). Love it.

Truth!!!
Wow, that first 30 seconds of feature set needs to be really slowed down so we can digest it. What a beast of a vst!
Playback speed set to 0.75 for Jon's videos is helpful, at least for my old ears and brain.
@@thomasnikzakrzewski4477 Ahhh much better.
😂

I purchased this synth a couple of months ago and now I have a tutorial for it. Thanx! 🥰
Great overview tutorial Jon , brilliant to see the big companies recognise your talent 👍
DUDE! THIS IS AMAZING TO SEE YOU HERE JON!!
Hi,
When will the VPS Avenger 2 user manual be available?
I see that the manual for Ver. 1.8.4 is still currently available.
Thanks Jon! Future tutorials will be welcome ...🎧🎧🎹🎹🎈🎈
Hi Jon,
I'm looking forward to more tutorials.

Ever since i got this synth, its practically the only one i use now

Great I hope these tutorials cover all aspects of the plugin. I will buy this vsti soon❤
Looking forward to the drum video!
Thank you so much for this tutorial video ❤😊
This is my favorite synth. I’m hoping to learn if there is a midi out setting
Everything is well explained. Thank you.
But how do you save the macros you have created in Avenger 2?
inside the preset?

Super merci beaucoup pour le tuto. Bis de Belgique
Thank You!
Need to slow down a little, what’s the rush Sir?
Jon, how do you record, export, or send the sound to the DAW?
Amazing but kinda expensive. Especially the expansions 😊 anyway I will get it some day

click on Menu in the Avenger top and then on "initialize"
