This is great. I ordered only the glass front and pryed the glass off of the front. Which .....is an impossible mess. Don't bother ordering just the glass part. They are so fused together you will end up ripping the LCD display in the process. Good video. I am ordering the complete digitizer and using this video when it comes in the mail. My dad will be happy to not have to use his 1999 flip phone any more. lol. I am fixing this model (my old) and letting him use it. Many thanks, Phone Repair Guy!
My phone started getting warm n heating up physically so I put it in the freezer of the fridge for 1 minute n then took it out of the freezer n then the screen lights went out on my phone but my phone is still on like it gets messages but the screen doesn't want to show any pixels it's just pitch black... will this video fix the pixels to turn on or does this video just help wt broken glass cracked screen repair type of vid????....

Just so everyone knows. We’ve done thousands of repairs. Never had one incident. If battery is really difficult to remove just use some isopropyl alcohol. We fix everyday since 1999

If you need help finding a new battery let me know. I can send you a link. When the adhesive is stuck very hard you need to use some isopropyl alcohol to help it to get loose. Sorry to hear that.
You were careless prying out the battery.
Did you know a few drops of 91% isopropyl alcohol around battery will soften the adhesive for easy removal? Also, you should never use metal pry tools to remove a battery because you can puncture the shell and start a fire.
Actually, it may be discharged so I think it’s fine
100% I had some Isopro T (99.9%) and used a cotton swab to apply a generous amount around edge, did this for about 5 mins and the battery popped out with some light prying and no sketchy deformation.
@@Matthews_Back Lithium will react violently when it hits air/moisture so it does not matter if its disconnected or discharged. One of the reason Apple will apply much more glue to a lot of its lithium batteries, so it is not possible to remove them safety and entire device must be discarded.

As soon as I went to start prying the battery out, the plastic prying tool they sent in the replacement glass package kit wasn't strong enough, so I tried to find something stronger and metal like your pry tool, the best I could find was a butter knife. When I WENT TO PRY IT OUT IT IMMEDIATLY STARTED SMOKING AND BURST INTO FLAMES!!!!! LUKILY I WAS SITTING BY MY BACK DOOR WITH IT OPEN TO HAVE GOOD LIGHT AND IMMMEDIATLY THREW IT OUTSIDE OUT OF MY HANDS AND OUT OF THE HOUSE AND IT WAS LIKE AN EXPLOSION IN 5 MORE SECONDS! I HAD TO RUN AND GET THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER AND SPRAY IT ALL OVER!!!!! WHY DIDN'T YOUR PHONE EXPLODE WHEN YOU TOOK YOUR BATTERY OUT? I COULD'VE BEEN BURNED BY ALL THAT MAGMA STUFF EXPLODING OUT OF IT!!!!!! I AM SO SHAKEN RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!

Just happened to me. saw a little smoke and I ran it out side. By the time I set it down and backed away it flamed out ,......... whaoooo what a sight! I hope i never see again. Well time for a new phone then. LOL

Use a credit card to slide up under the battery so you won’t bend it and it blow tf up. Wil have to use a little force and wiggle but it’s better than what you did

Hmm I was following just fine, but I guess the adhesive on mine was stronger and it tore the open the back of the battery pack so now I guess I'm going to have to get a new battery. 😢
its not digitizer replacement. its whole lcd replacement and everybody can do it.

Utiliza cinta doble cara (dual glue) 3M por eso no utiliza pegamento liquido.

I fix phones professionally myself, what I can say is that this repair will usually only take 15-20mins. 2. Once the screen is repaired it should be exactly the same as how you brought it in, just a repaired screen. 3. The touch should be restored if you replace the digitizer with the LCD.

@@alldogsgoheaven yes this would fix your display issue. However if the phone had gotten hot before the display stopped working then you might also have a short somewhere on the board.

Yes unless the water damaged the ic chips or the components. Get some 99% isopropyl alcohol or the highest % you can get and open the phone using the video. Clean and brush the board with a toothbrush. Remember to disconnect your battery before cleaning. Remove the board to clean better. Let me know if this help and you were able to fix.

@Aaron Da Bluestoner u've GOT 2 b kidding!!?! I've bought damn near everything from ebay over the years. Fan parts, Mac parts, air conditioner, u name it. Their shit was flimsy!! Set War off flimsy. Amazon material seem so much more sturdier . They seemed more well put and about getting back to u quickly. Sad to say, no diss, but ebay seemed to have a lot of broken English speaking people. I like some things I like about ebay. Its just too frustrating. Maybe u can help me to shop better and a way to spin off on slicksters.....
