I've added custom subtitles to make sure to turn them on! Also let me know what you think or if you have any questions. And thx for all the feedback, based on your questions and comments I've written down some more information: Cracked rice might be caused by too much dehydration or drying the rice for too long after harvesting. It can also be caused by harvesting too late (autumn 3 for instance) and excessive use of fertilizer that maxes out the nutrients in the soil. (Thx AnzuP for this information!) Cloudy Rice might be caused by exposing it to not enough water throughout the year, a high water temperature for a long period of time and harvesting it before it too early. So make sure to keep the water levels in check, pray for coolness or rain when you have too many sunny days and to not harvest in summer, but in autumn instead. (Thx AnzuP & Tae Young Ahn for this information!) Make sure to equip the Sedge Hat when doing farm work, this increases your farming XP by 20% which means that you'll unlock farming-related skills, like planting more seeds at once, at the same time. Thx YukoValis Sword for pointing this out! Fertilize once or daily? The most important thing with fertilization is that there is a green glow active within the triangle. When that is the case - the plants will grow. You can fertilize more often though to increase the stat growth, but in order to do that you will need the extra stat-boosting items like rotten food/powders/flakes/medicinal base. When it comes to applying more fertilizer you can do that daily and it's recommended to do in the morning. So to answer this question: Once, if the triangle is fully green and you don't want to invest more items for extra stat growth. Once a day, in the morning, in case you have spare stat-boosting items that you want to apply in the same harvest. Bear in mind that the game advises to add fertilizer differently if you're focusing purely on Yield or Heartiness. Check the action lists below for more information on this. Written steps for the Balanced Rice and all areas of focus can be found below. If you didn't get enough points to unlock the trophies/achievements, try to add fertilizer every day and adding items that give +100 to that stat every time. Hey Swrinny, just wanted to let you know that the herbs also are really great single type fertilizer fodder before they rot, so great if you're trying to shore up a particular type of stat!
@@Swrinny The ones that you can randomly find around your farm in the Spring; mugwort, seven herb, horsetail, etc. each of them provides a good early-game boost of 5 of a stat for a single one at only the cost of some Pesticide levels (which you can't deal with until you have garlic or salt by luck early game, anyways).
Coming from a family of rice farmers who still actively plants and trades rice, I played this game with skepticism after they say it's damn good. Though not truly accurate cause it's still a game, the process and details of managing paddy fields are scarily realistic.
Hey - that's really cool to hear! I've read up a bit about the development process in this game and they went above and beyond with their research which is rare for such a small studio.
@@mustard466 "After a hard day's work of farming rice, I come home to play a video game where your hard work in farming rice turns you into a god, as opposed to turning you into someone too tired to move and too poor to travel."
Cracked rice is caused by a few things. First, lack of water, which can also be caused when you dried the rice too long. Also, if your rice is overripen, due to late harvest. Lastly, too much nutrients can also cause that, so make sure you don't max out the nutrients when you apply fertilizers. Cloudy rice is also caused by a few things. First, harvesting before it's ripe. Second, low water level. Finally, exposed to high temperature for an excess amount of time.
Thank you sooo much for putting this together. This game is a true hidden gem. I made sure to just wing it for a few seasons before I followed a guide.
There is at least one more level above well-rounded planting. You plant everything in your hand (all 32) RANDOMLY. As the description phrased it "it's utter chaos"
Question is, do they go a step even further? Would putting up with the chaos lead to you to a level where planting all of the seedlings in a perfect way as a reward for finding a method to the madness? I’d like to think so.
Pro tip for people with a keyboard: During hulling, hold the up key and spam the down key. During threshing, hold the down key on keyboard and do the swipe action with your gamepad
I'm 6 hrs and 54 minutes into them. Not very long but I'm at year 3 and only level 9. I noticed myself struggling quite a bit through the areas. I somehow crawled to chapter 3 and hit the next area when I finally knew I was missing something. After watching this video I found out that something was quite a lot in the rice growing process. I didn't understand the fertilizing process because I honestly didn't know what to truly add to it and I completely did NOT do the preparing seeds with mud........wow!!!! It's no wonder I only leveled up ONE time during the harvest!!! Lol!! Thank you so much for posting this video!!!! Not super difficult but a huge learning curve. :)
Haha, no problem and yeah it's easy to miss these things. Even though the game teaches you about rice farming step by step, it can take a while to understand what actually works or you might miss or forget something. Glad this video was helpful. Hope you'll level up a lot more during your future harvests :D
@@mortaldragon2 Sounds like a good improvement! It's been a while since I've played but I think 3-5 levels is normal to gain until you're level 40-50 or so. If you later on find special items like Medinical Herbs, 'flakes' and 'powders' make sure to add them to the fertilizer to get some extra levels :)
Haha, it can be a bit overwhelming :p Your first 2-3 harvests are going to suck and if you follow the steps in the video you can make the others good enough to progress at a good pace. Hope you enjoy the game!
Idk how to get the percentage of water cuz it dint show up especially the grid as well... I don’t even know where i can find an oil so i can explore at night
Very informative video, thanks for this. The game really wants you to find stuff yourself, I just want to relax when playing so this video is very helpful to skip the trial and error for the farming parts.
Wow this is in depth, at first I was kinda annoyed that you slowly unlock things but looking at the totality of all the mechanics its probably for the best, there is so much to learn! Awesome guide, I'm actually going to bookmark it because of the depth of knowledge contained.
Hey I don't know what difference this really makes in the long run or if this as been covered but in my experience pumping fertilizers into the soil cause rice blight to skyrocket. Rice blight is just annoying regardless and I'm still getting a handle on it in year 11 haha. Awesome guide!
The most important thing is actually getting good stats at the very beggining, you can do a max of 100 for all the stats on your first fertilizer, Swriny barely gets 300+ on his stats cause he probably didn't use enough spoiled food/medicine boosters, all that quality mostly goes to waste without them
How do i chose how much i put in the fertilizer, it might be me but I don't know how to add the quantity of how much i want to use, every time i tried its always zero, can you tell me how
Man, I just picked this game up on a whim, mainly due to the art style. Was not expecting to be sucked into it as much as I did. I absolutely adore this game. Incredibly fun.
Great to hear! Make sure to check the top pinned comment with some extra info about obtaining those achievements. And if you have those powerful additional components like powders, flakes & medicinal herbs now is the time to use them in the fertilizer. Good luck!
@@Swrinny Question bout the 3 types of remedies vs the 3 types of fertilizer... I found using just Branching Flower/Flaming Core/Aquarous Droplet is not as strong as the remedies as in I can't really eliminate the rice disorders until I put 1-2 remedies and either the 3 materials.. like if I have pesticide, so is Eradicating remedy 1x + Flaming Core 2x. I feel like the remedies are like the based item while the other 3 materials are like booster.. is this true? Cause I'm running low on remedies after getting Aroma achievement.
@@Swrinny Also one more thing.. Regarding the Salt Damage, using Refreshing water as in Spring/Renowned Water? And if I didn't add any salt in all fertilize.. but Salt Damage still increases even if I put like -100 Toxicity (combination of Spring Water, Renowned Water 1x-2x + Moonlit Stones) How do I counter this situation?
@@zeonztan4424 Remedies are for curing and boosting the resistance through items, even if you'd do this via remedies, is for preventing. So when starting out I'd add additional components like salt to prevent and reduce the impact of diseases. If during the harvest you see your plants being ill, you can add a remedy to the fertilizer to cure it or weaken the disease. You can check the current strength of the disease by talking to Tauemon. Hope this clears it up a bit!
@@zeonztan4424 Yes that's right - the waters help reduce the toxicity that you get from adding salt which reduces the amount of Salt Damage the plants will take. Salt damage also increases quite a bit if you sort the rice with Salt during the sorting process - have you done that perhaps? Other than that it could be that salt damage will always be there and increase slowly, but the more salt you added or if you sorted using salt it increases at a very quick pace. From what I've seen in this game you cannot fully counter damage/diseases to the extent that they fully disappear - but you can greatly reduce the impact
Wow my dude thanks for this guide which I will be going thru back and forth 🙃☺️ it helps a lot! I have no idea what I'm doing; luckily I just started the game and I'm doing the how to till tut area😽
Thank you for making such an informative video! I've been wondering how to get better quality rice and stumbled upon your tutorial. It really helped us noob rice farmers a lot.
After the round planting is chaos planting...don't do it. To change it back to one of the other planting methods, go to the skills when on the field, highlight the planting, then press the left on the d-pad and you will revert back to the previous levels and press a
One thing that I’m conflicted with is wether my mix of fertilizer is good or bad. I follow the exact method of amber and the 5x hoof, manure, and leaves but, my main departure is adding 388 rotten food which nets me 100 on all stats and -100 pesticide. I then add 30 salt which brings pesticide to 0 (and immunity and herbicide is 100). From there, I add 10 renowned water until toxicity is -1 (I would use spring water, but I neither have that built up nor do I know how much of either water I would need to put to avoid salt damage) From there, I add 10x Flame core to make pesticide 100. In a perfect world that might be a good mix however, I get the feeling that it’s not only extremely expensive in the salt, renowned water, and flaming core departments. So I’d like to get other peoples opinions on this mix as well as what others usually do for their fertilizer mix.
It is a good mix but as you say it's veeery expensive. The issue with the additional components is that they have diminishing returns. The more rotten food you add the more you will need to increase the stats further. If you're going for the trophies/achievements you can go all out with the fertilizer but if you want to make something good consistently when playing through the game I'd look at increasing the stats on your fertilizer between 25-40.
Thank you for making this helpful video! You know, the developers didn’t know how to make good gaming balance of the farming, so they just put the actual data.
Need help. Now im at 4th year and I don't have sorting & sowing stage. The steps straight from tilling to planting(waiting the seed to mature) without any sorting process. Is there any requirement to unlock this step? Im using nintendo switch btw. Thanks in advance.
Heya - the unlocking could also be related to the story progression. They usually somewhat go hand in hand - so try and see if you can clear a few more stages before your next harvest. Hope this helps!
I noticed 3rdoff shoot required dehydration, but not entirely dry, it will cause the status "dehydration" Keeping water around 5-8% is better than draining all the water.
@@Swrinny Just did a check with the dehydration status. It is best to keep 0% like what you mentioned (am sorry about my status earlier haha) but need to keep both water gates open to lower down temperature for better quality harvest.
@@YukiChristy hey - np and tnx for letting me know! Makes a lot of sense about the water gates, the water becomes hot really quickly when it's really shallow
Tried to figure out by myself for 2 first harvests and only got 11 rice and didn't turn out well. After following this, got more than 60 rice and it turned out waaaay better lol TY !! still got some practice to do tho ;)
I only bought this game foe the RPG element and because the artwork/music reminded me of Odin's Sphere and Muramasa. The rice element elighted me that rice is a b*tch to make. Thanks.
Sorry for the delayed response! I just apply it once a year, as shown in this video. I've added a bit more info on fertilizing in the pinned comment of this video which may help you!
I have serious question 😂 fertilizer system. Ok i add 1 time fertilizer and for 10 hous i spread to field. Now fertilizer have numbers stats for add ingredients, but only cca 10 hour then fertilizer ingo is blanked - that mean what, i must repeat all fertilizer again? With all ingredients again?
Doesn't filling up the fertilizer triangle bring up problems like overgrowth and spindly rice? Isn't it more important to follow the scrolls when it comes to considering the amount of what type fertilizer to use?
If you want to get the most out of it, yeah you can fertilize more often and keep an eye on the amount of nutrients in there depending on which part you want to focus on. If I recall correctly the most detrimental part for your rice harvest can be having too much fertilizer during the third offshoot stage as it makes more leaves appear which leads to the problem you mentioned - overgrowth. But for the sake of having a step-by-step guide for beginners that will allow you to not stress too much about the rice harvest, fertilizing only once at the start is the easiest imo and still gives you good results.
Hey Swrinny, I’m new to the channel. I really liked your review and guide video on Sakuna, but don’t want to watch the others because I don’t want spoilers. Could you do a playthrough? I’d love to watch it!
Glad to have you here and also happy that you liked the review and guide! :) For now I'm sticking to reviews and guides because I think those are the most valuable for viewers, but in the future I might do more playthroughs/let's plays of certain games. Really depends on the type of game though.
I started all over. My save game data because I used all the important items that are used for weapons and my rice balance. It similar to your balance when I reached around Level 42. But it didn't have a lot of Aroma, Sickness and Aesthetic.
Sounds like you might've encountered a bugged enemy? You can keep continuing shrine levels after clear all enemies so if if you have and there's still an invisible barrier the game thinks there still is an enemy somewhere. As bad as it sounds, not much you can do than trying again. I know the flying birds/fish can be annoying sometimes as they can 'hide' near the edge of the stage
@@Swrinny yeah. even at night, i'll check it out later after i finished the last boss, but it was there when the festival was already ready for me to do
Hey - the clips were cut together as I was recording multiple things for the videos. It shows I didn't apply the fertilizer because 10 hours have passed between me spreading it and tilling. It's the best practice to spread it right before tilling and you will see that it will say "yes" once you do that.
Many thanks for your guide, there still somethings that i dont quite undertand clearly, but i think with some experimentation will undertand more. (or maybe is becasue i need to grow and polish more my english)
first got it thought more oriental anime like runefactory but farming like the toss seeds out on square grid thing nope more complex. now is there way to lower your stats by doing poorly on rice? or are your base stats locked in place and if do bad at the rice it just doesnt level up?
Your stats won't be lowered by doing poorly, you'll just level up and progress a bit slower if you have a 'bad' harvest. There isn't a deadline or anything in the game so I wouldn't worry about it too much!
As much as I love this game. The rice farming is both the most fun but also most confusing element. On a side note, it bugs me that the "Obtain X material to release power" only applies when you are wear the outfit. Even if I have 50 of the item, I have to go gather 50 again since the ones I have don't count.
Heya - it sounds like you're still in the first part of making the fertilizer. Once you select your base components and amber, you get to the part where you add additional ingredients. Hope this helps!
Is there a way not to plant all of the seedlings? Im trying to space them out but I have way too many. I'm early in the game so I haven't unlocked sorting the seeds. It won't let me pluck weeds until I've finished planting all the seedlings
Hey - haven't been able to find an option for this. You can jump out of the field while planting but that only 'pauses' it. I'd say just plant all of them until you unlock Sorting around your 4th harvest
11:31 "i do not know if there are more" Oh boy are you in for a surprise. EDIT: Ahahaha! there it is I was hoping to find info on cloudy/cracked rice. Seems we are have the same issue on that, ingame not giving good info. I have found cloudy rice can fester when the rice is drying or while in storage, which means the ingame tip about it is false and has nothing to do with it ripening? Cracked might be related to it being too dry when you hull? i dont know, it doesnt make much sense. i thought 100% dryness was key. A followup of more info when you have it would be great, am subbing.
Haha - there's even more after that apparently. Just keeps on giving :D And yeah I've checked with some other people on Discord/Reddit/GameFaqs but it's really untested assumptions. People are speculating it can have something to do with the temperature throughout the harvest, if you start too early/too late and if you polish the rice too early/too late. If I end up finding out more I'll definitely let you know!
@@Swrinny It would be interesting to hear what people find. The games lack of detailed feedback is both fun but also a curse. It allows for but doesnt explicitly reward experimentation and without being able to look back at what you did (without writing things down out of the game) its hard to tell what was right or wrong. Anyway, another thaught on cloudy rice might be going back to "ripeness", like the tooltip says. maybe when the games says "its ripe" maybe only ~30% of it is ripe. Leaving the rice "ripe" for an extra day might allow for the full field to become "ripe". This would make sense as even the games input isnt 100%, like when sakana says the rice is dry, its ~80-90% and leaving it for another 4-6 hours can result in 100% dryness.
@@b00marrows Yup you're right. Had to change my mindset quite a bit as I'm kind of a perfectionist when it comes to these things. I wanna know it all and try to execute it in a way to get the 'perfect rice' but there's just too many variables that work together. And as you said, the information on those variables isn't 100%
@@Swrinny I saw the ammount of veriables in the first few harvests and at that point decided im not gonne be a happy min-maxer when it comes to the rice and just went with the flow. Right now my rice gives yield out the wazoo, 5K yield (5021, i got around 700 white rice last harvest?) but all other stats are suffering going down clockwise (3.3k, 3.5k, 2.4k, 2.7k) with aroma (magic) being the lowest being 2114. My biggest gripe right now is the gatherers not getting remedies. I could see the remedies being super helpfull stepping stone to better rice, but maybe 1/10 attempts get one and i only have 3 dogs so far so im maybe getting a remedie a month. Sadly i cant fight a boss for a remedy, how easy that would make it... Anyway, my last test was leaving the rice to "ripen". I left the rice "ready to harvest" for an entire day after it said it was ready and saw little to no cloudy or cracked rice. I dont know if it did it or something elce, but it might be it. Small note on fertaliser, it is by dafault "sustained" for 10 hours, so if you really want to you can put in 2 sets per day, but i belive the later in the day you use fertaliser the less effective it is. And small note on illnesses, from what i can tell they only have a serious/actual effect when the bar fills all the way up and/or is red. That possibly meaning if the bars green, its not terrible. EG: A partial bar of dehydratin or salt damage is not gonna do anything and might even go away with time or a bit of fertaliser, but a full bar of spindly wont go away and the damage is done, atleast from what i am seeing. Anyway, sorry for the novel. Looking forward to what you have gathered on all this if/when you make another video on it.
@@b00marrows No need to apologize for the novel lol, it's fun reading something passionate :D Yeah at night the rice barely grows and thus doesn't use much nutrients from the fertilizer, but you're right it is theoretically possible to do. Have to agree with you on the remedy items, and honestly the same for other items like medicinal herbs, flakes and powders. It's a big reason I tend to settle for one fertilizer too. And good to know about the illnesses, it's just a shame you can't really see how big the impact really was in the harvest results for instance. I don't think I'll be making another video on it though, been busy with work and slowly moving onto other games.
Hey - just to make sure, you can also trade cucumber for white rice so there's no need to make brown or mixed just for that. But if you want to make brown rice - only hull the rice for 1 progress bar instead of all the way. As for mixed, you will need to do a minimum of 2 progress bars, but I'd recommend going for 50% (which is 5 or 6 progress bars). Hope this helps!
Perhaps cloudy/cracked rice isn't the polishing but rather the drying? Possibly sending the harvest to the shed before it dries or leaving it out long enough for the cold to get to it. Anyways, great info, and thanks for the video.
That sounds plausible. Another user also suggested that cracked rice could be when the rice is out there during the winter. Might check it out in a later harvest and glad the video was helpful! :)
you should make a video that explains what players need to do when starting the game. i can't bring myself to continue this game because i dont know what to do, i can't plant more rice, i can't harvest the ones i planted, i can't beat the levels that i'm on, etc
Depends on where you are at, if you've already beaten the first boss area the second areas will be hard without your first or second harvest behind you at least. There is some pacing there between harvests, so focus on upgrading your equipment through ores, wood, and textiles along with your rice raising. As you eat and visit your hut quests will pop up and you'll be able to make a forge and weaver's hut to make said upgrades. Long as you take care of your rice you'll gain new combat skills to reach new areas and chests. Also the best way to deal with enemies early on and get through areas is to crash attack/smash attack. Use the skill that lets you smash enemies into each other, or a charged side attack, or the raiment throw, or just the basic combo of up quick attack into following into the air then spam quick attack and you'll diagonal slam enemies into others. This out damages early game skills and weapons and you can beat bosses and areas earlier than intended that way.
Rule of thumb is to never pick fight if you are 3 levels lower than the stage level. You will get your ass handed to you, unless you are proficient with the combat. Just play, the game will give out guides later, and in stages so you won't be overwhelmed by having to take in everything at the same time.
Hey - it was around harvest 6 or 7 for me when they appeared. So you might have to wait a bit or do more story/side quest wise in order to unlock them. Don't know about the actual criteria unfortunately. Hope this helps!
Also I been thinking of putting more focus on my rice during the Spring and Summer seasons of the game. It does help to keep the rice balance. But it would mean I have to do combat at night. I'll probably do something like during the mid and near ending of the game.
I have question, Is it possible to get all 5 Stats 999 on Rice Farming, Like 999 Yield, Aesthestic and so on. Lately i only able to get aroma and yield 999 or sometimes Magic and Luck.
Heya - not sure about that actually! I didn't play enough to reach that level D: But I do vaguely recall seeing a Reddit post where someone had over 999 stats. Maybe you could ask it on the subreddit?
Hey - sorry won't be making that guide due to a lack of time. But I'd say: - Take out ranged enemies first. - Use the raiment to dodge, you can't be hit during the dodge animation and you can use it twice before touching the ground. A lot safer than parrying. - Make good use of collision damage in large groups (combat skills Frontal Smash & Wild Top help with this, also Raiment skills Crescent Toss & Windmill). - As for good combat skills to use, Swallow Slice - Rising Carp & Thundering Magnitude are by far my favorites to use because they deal big damage and stun/toss enemies around. - Always go for the strongest weapon you can craft. - Always have a food buff "Natural Healing" to heal between fights. Hope this helps!
Hello if you ever see I just wanna ask is ther other spirit dough that have a + because I got a health boost+ but i cant seem to get or encounter others that have it other that the collection ones
So I’m a bit confused, I just unlocked Aquatic Instincts and it says that I can see the water level and temp by standing near the gates. I stand near the gates and nothing pops up or anything. Where do I need to stand to see these things? Please help me 😭
You have to jump out of the rice field area and stand on-top of the actual water gate. The skill is a bit misleading because you can only enable/disable it by standing in the rice field. But yeah just stand on-top of the gate and turn your camera to the field, you should see the floating numbers.
You should have a scroll with Ventania dishes that shows the recipes for what you can create. If you don't have it yet, I think you can trade it by talking to Tama (trades with the Capital). From that point on - simply pick a dish from that scroll, gather the materials and then talk to Myrthe to create the traditional meal. Hope this helps!
@@koya546 Pretty sure you just need boar meat for that. Try to find a stage that has boar/pig enemies (either the ones that charge or walk on 2 legs and wield a big club). Then take it to Myrthe and have her process that meat into smoked pork

Hi there! Thanks for the video! I was wondering if the English release has other language options on the cart? Was hoping to play it in Japanese or Chinese. Thank you!
Np, glad you like it! :) Yup in the main menu you can change the langue. The spoken language can either be Japanese or English and the text language can either be Japanese, English and another Asian language, but I can't tell whether it's Korean or Chinese :c
Can you make a video about combos or skills of how can you use them? I like the combat of this game but it's pretty hard to execute in the fight because there is no specific guide or controls on how to use them.
Hey - sorry but I've moved on from this game for new projects so I won't be making that. I can give you a few tips to make combat easier: - Make good use of collision damage (use skills that knock enemies into other enemies). - While attacking with regular attacks, make sure to hold the movement stick up so your combo transitions into an aerial combo. Other enemies won't be able to hit you as easily, your combo will be longer and at the end you can knock the enemy into other enemies. - If you see an enemy come, like a charging boar, you can double-tap the movement button in that direction to parry and/or dodge the enemy. - Use your raiment dodge (where you grab them with the scarf and you pass through them) as much as you can. During this time enemies can't hit you. You can use it twice before having to land on the floor. - Always take out the archers/bombers first as they can deal a lot of damage and are hard to dodge. - Once you unlock Swallow Slice & Rising Carp, make sure to equip these. They make your life so much easier. If you don't have them yet, you will need to level your rice field further. Hope this helps a bit!
I've added custom subtitles to make sure to turn them on! Also let me know what you think or if you have any questions. And thx for all the feedback, based on your questions and comments I've written down some more information:
Cracked rice might be caused by too much dehydration or drying the rice for too long after harvesting. It can also be caused by harvesting too late (autumn 3 for instance) and excessive use of fertilizer that maxes out the nutrients in the soil. (Thx AnzuP for this information!)
Cloudy Rice might be caused by exposing it to not enough water throughout the year, a high water temperature for a long period of time and harvesting it before it too early. So make sure to keep the water levels in check, pray for coolness or rain when you have too many sunny days and to not harvest in summer, but in autumn instead. (Thx AnzuP & Tae Young Ahn for this information!)
Make sure to equip the Sedge Hat when doing farm work, this increases your farming XP by 20% which means that you'll unlock farming-related skills, like planting more seeds at once, at the same time.

@@KainYusanagi Hey - thx for the reply! Which herbs are you referring to? I can check them out later ingame :)
@@KainYusanagi Ahh you mean those. I think I used most of mine in food processing or let them go bad haha, thx for the tip though!

Yeah, even to the point where the guide was even posted on Japan's Ministry of Agriculture too.
Did your family play this at home after they done farming the field? 😂

I’m three harvests in and finally gave up on trying to figure it out on my own. This was so helpful! Thanks for uploading!
Glad it was helpful! :)
I went into this game as an engineer and came out as a farmer
“Cloudy rice” is caused by harvesting rice too early (e.g., Summer 3). Wait one more day (Autumn 1) to prevent the condition.
Cool, thx for letting me know!
Thank you, great guide. I am not really into the "figure it out on your own" style the game has but love all the rest of it.
Glad to help!
thank god someone took this game seriously .. thanks alot for making this great video !
Glad you like it! :)
Hey - big thanks for the info! I've added it to the pinned comment up top so more people can find it :)
how long is too long? Usually the next day or so she does say it dry enough and when it done the dryness bar goes to 100. is the 100 bad?
Thank you sooo much for putting this together. This game is a true hidden gem. I made sure to just wing it for a few seasons before I followed a guide.
Np, glad you like it! Winging it is a great way to learn too :D
There is at least one more level above well-rounded planting.
You plant everything in your hand (all 32) RANDOMLY. As the description phrased it "it's utter chaos"
Haha, that sounds like great fun! Thx for letting me know :D
Question is, do they go a step even further?
Would putting up with the chaos lead to you to a level where planting all of the seedlings in a perfect way as a reward for finding a method to the madness?
I’d like to think so.

My day job contract doesn't allow having another job. Ill have to keep my rice farming business a secret.
It's no wonder I only leveled up ONE time during the harvest!!! Lol!! Thank you so much for posting this video!!!! Not super difficult but a huge learning curve. :)

Hey I don't know what difference this really makes in the long run or if this as been covered but in my experience pumping fertilizers into the soil cause rice blight to skyrocket. Rice blight is just annoying regardless and I'm still getting a handle on it in year 11 haha. Awesome guide!
I'm glad this came out for the ps4, I'm really enjoying playing this
The most important thing is actually getting good stats at the very beggining, you can do a max of 100 for all the stats on your first fertilizer, Swriny barely gets 300+ on his stats cause he probably didn't use enough spoiled food/medicine boosters, all that quality mostly goes to waste without them
I like how you essentially gain your godlike powers/combat prowess back as you work the fields and fight monsters
How do i chose how much i put in the fertilizer, it might be me but I don't know how to add the quantity of how much i want to use, every time i tried its always zero, can you tell me how

From there, I add 10 renowned water until toxicity is -1 (I would use spring water, but I neither have that built up nor do I know how much of either water I would need to put to avoid salt damage)
From there, I add 10x Flame core to make pesticide 100.

Keeping water around 5-8% is better than draining all the water.

How often do you have to apply fertilizer, and how often to apply remedies (eradicating, reducing and revitalizing)?

I saw you applied fertilizer before tilling but after you tilled the field it showed you did not apply the fertilizer. Why is that?

Yeah that gets pretty annoying. Also needing x amount of an item to unlock, but it's an item that spoils after a while like meat.
Great video man

@@shaniqua2660 I still haven't found a solution other than waiting to unlock the seed sorting feature.
Hey - haven't been able to find an option for this. You can jump out of the field while planting but that only 'pauses' it. I'd say just plant all of them until you unlock Sorting around your 4th harvest

11:31 "i do not know if there are more"
Oh boy are you in for a surprise.
EDIT: Ahahaha! there it is
I was hoping to find info on cloudy/cracked rice.
Sorry but how to make brown rice and mixed rice for the trade for cucumber from capital thanks!
Whoa// so I only need to put Fertilizer once? Before I till the soil?
Because Im putting fertilizer everyday. Am I playingthis game extremely wrong?
Best video ever
Hi! When do you unlock ducks? I have sent Kaimaru out every day to each location multiple times and still haven’t unlocked them..
Hey - it was around harvest 6 or 7 for me when they appeared. So you might have to wait a bit or do more story/side quest wise in order to unlock them. Don't know about the actual criteria unfortunately. Hope this helps!
So when it tells you they're too far apart, what's it saying exactly?
thanks, now i know how to increase my luck, gusto and magic cuz im lvl 28 with very high str, vit and hp, wanted to balance my stats
Also I been thinking of putting more focus on my rice during the Spring and Summer seasons of the game. It does help to keep the rice balance. But it would mean I have to do combat at night. I'll probably do something like during the mid and near ending of the game.
You can get the weather that you want by simply load save file so its always sunny or raining
Hey Swrinny thankyou for this guide can you also make a combat tips
Hey - sorry won't be making that guide due to a lack of time. But I'd say:
- Take out ranged enemies first.
When is the best time to put the ducks away? Is it when the ears appear? I ccant figure it out
From what I could tell the best time is indeed when the ears appear, so when the rice enters the "Sprouting" stage
Ah ok thanks
Very helpful thank you for making this video
Glad it was helpful!
Guys I’m stuck on “eat a traditional Ventania mea” i dunno what to do i bout food from the capital also didn’t work
You should have a scroll with Ventania dishes that shows the recipes for what you can create. If you don't have it yet, I think you can trade it by talking to Tama (trades with the Capital). From that point on - simply pick a dish from that scroll, gather the materials and then talk to Myrthe to create the traditional meal. Hope this helps!
@@Swrinny thank you so much , I was truly lost 🖤🖤🖤🙏🏻
@@Swrinny heyy i want to know what do i need to make smoked pork?
@@koya546 Pretty sure you just need boar meat for that. Try to find a stage that has boar/pig enemies (either the ones that charge or walk on 2 legs and wield a big club). Then take it to Myrthe and have her process that meat into smoked pork
Is it better to plant the seedlings at the points on the grid instead of the middle of the boxes?
Nah that doesn't matter - the grid is only there to serve as a helpful tool to spread the seedlings evenly
@@Swrinny yea, im thinking of just placing the seedlings on the points.
btw .... should i really bother with minimizing pesticide? I have a problem on not having garlic/salt for my fertilizer
Sorry may I ask if using the aroma rice therapy helps to boost SP or only magic? Any ways to boost SP? Thanks...
Hey - I'm pretty sure it only adds to the magic, so the damage dealt by skills.
I can give you a few tips to make combat easier:
- Make good use of collision damage (use skills that knock enemies into other enemies).
