- okay, so you like breathing huh? Its not the chunky saw dust on the workbench you need to worry about; its the teeny tiny fine particals floating around in the air. Attaching your shop vacuum to your tools is a must. It might not catch 100%, but its better than letting the wood chunks fly without a care. All you need is a gatorade bottle and a heat gun, ohh, and a box cutter. Easily connect your shop vac to any size port using this quick diy hack.
oh my god I have been looking for adapters and none of them fit my needs and then you come along and solve my problems lmao. Thank you!
Anytime buddy! I have also been freustrated over the past year or so because of my vaccum hose to tool ratios. Lol you'll see this gatorade hack several times throughout videos because its a life-saver :) glad it helped you solve some problems!
As an update I just wanted you to know it worked flawlessly! I didn’t have a heatgun but a hai dryer works okay in a pinch if no one has a heatgun handy. Thanks again! :)
new subscriber! Thanks for the really helpful info on the bottle adapters.,
Glad it helped out! I was scratching my head for a while trying to rig up something that worked :P
One and a quarter here! Nice hack btw I am going to have to try that!
Thanks buddy :)
@@WhosTheVoss oops weird that both comments went through. It said failed, but I live off grid so service is spotty at times!
I appreciate you! Such a nice young man!
Thanks buddy :)
So glad I found you
Me too! Welcome to the channel :)
Here around Boston, we say “One and a quawtah!” 😂
🤣🤣🤣 maybe Ill give it a try!
quarter here in kansas. I actually had to keep rewinding your video on the picket planter again and again, cause it seemed like you were speaking another language. Oh well, its better than listening to someone say mills, and you know they have to mean mm and not thousands of an inch.
I was blindsided when someone said "its quarters" andddd after asking around, it seemed like only I said fourths 🤷♀️
Vac hose connectors are like trailer balls they come in 3 sizes: way too small, too smal and way too large.
🤣🤣 those are the exact sizes! Lol
I too say one and a quarter! Nice hack btw I am going to have to try that!
Someday I'll find a one and a fourth buddy lol :)
after watching several of your videos I have noticed you hardly get any saw dust or wood shavings coming out the top of your table saw, have you done something special to help this? I have dust collection hooked up to my saw and I still get all kinds of dust/shavings that come out the top of my table saw. Thanks
I have a vacuum hooked to mine. Your dust collection system might not have enough suction to pull the material down and out instead of it leaving through the top :)
I've looked through your videos and cannot find the cedar garden shed. Did you ever upload it? Also, I love watching your videos! Thank you!
Nooooo, I deleted a section of the build so the rest of the footage is useless. I plan to reshoot and build the same one for my yard :)
@@WhosTheVoss Thanks, and I look forward to seeing it!
New subscriber from Texas. Down here we say one and a quarter, not one and one quarter or one and one fourth. “I believe you get your ass kicked for saying something like that.” -office space.
😂😂 thanks buddy!!
Quarter of course.
Quarter :) Ive changed my ways lol
But isnt polyester slippery and if you use the adapter whilst moving around it pulls off?
I use it on my stationary tools, I can see it slipping off a sander or router
Nice. I bought an adapter at Home Depot pluming department
Siiiiiiick!
One quarter 😊 Ontario Canada
One quarter ;)
U get no answers from me until I see some singing😂
🤣 older videos dont have singing :P lolololol
@@WhosTheVoss 😄😄 I see that as I go through them
Quarter... (Wisconsin here)
Hmmmm, maybe the commenter guy was right. I have always said fourth
It's one and a quarter.
👍👍
1 1/4 = One and a quarter. We don't say one and one quarter where I am.
Saaaaaaame!!
American here. Ive never heard anyone in the trades ever say “one fourth”. I never heard anyone says “fourths” until I started watching Gen Z women cooking on TH-cam. Over the last year I’ve heard it used more and more.
Interestingggg. wonder where I picked it up from.. great, now Im the wierdo. Lol
@@WhosTheVoss 😂 I’m worse. I’ve been a machinist my whole adult life so 1/4” is “two hundred and fifty thou”
(quarter) -Robert NY USA
Thanks buddy ;)
PVC can do this too but it takes longer and isn't as FREE (my fav F word) as plastic bottles.
p.s. I say "point two five"...I know, I blame an engineering background.
I got some heat for saying "fourth", I guess it was uncommon :P lol
One fourth for people who graduated high school, one quarter for oldish people or people who only know basic money math and don't know fancy math. I say 1 quarter because reasons.
Fancy math all the way, baby!!!
I mean, there’s no difference. One quarter is the same as one fourth.
In the back of my mind, thats what I was thinking. But, I also took a poll at work and they said "quarter". Now imma have to switch to quarter I guess. Dont want to be the outcast :P
@@WhosTheVoss lol, I hear ya! But from a mathematical / English perspective, it is the same thing.
Illinois here (don't hate me)....I'm with @jillianreeseearth.... "I need to remove 1 and a quarter" 🤷♂️
Im in good ol' Illinois as well ;) my father even says quarter sooooo idk 🤷 picked up the habbit from somewhere :P
