I completely agree with you. The thing is, in the US, paparazzi are, by definition, protected by the 1st amendment since celebrities are considered “newsworthy”. It’s honestly horrible, though.
It's different when someone is basically STALKING you for pictures, that doesn't happen to normal people, THAT'S the difference...

There is a video of Beyoncé and Jay Z arriving at the Louvre in Paris. A guy is just filming randomly as it is a tourist attraction and his bodyguard says "no filming." Like they can go to Paris and tell people not to film in a public street. And the guy didn't even know who they were.
