The difference between a city family and country family is stark in this. You can imagine how independent and resourceful these kids will be as adults, how emotional closeness of this kind of family life will be a natural part of them as adults. Beautiful to see.
Those kids are prepared for the world through experience. It's the joy of country life and the bane of tradies everywhere. Farming folk can fix anything, bodge anything and compensate for plans gone awry all before they can buy a cider (so 14 years old). School is just a formality so they learns to speak proper English and knows their numbers right well.
This is a great programme it shows how the family managed during the winter months and the children are all hands on & learning all about farm life.cant wait for the next episodes. 😀
if you look at Annie and Clemmie they look an awfully lot alike at Clems age. I'm waiting for wee Nancy to come alive like Clem did when Annie went to school. I love them all x
From 1:45-2:10, I can't get or understand the children very well, and the auto subtitle makes no sense. Could you please help make it out? I'm preparing something for English listening.
I live in Australia and I moved from a city to country it's way different never knew there were so many different types of bugs LOL would not swapped it back for any thing love country life tough as it may be some times

I’ve watched all the series and every episode is a pure joy. I absolutely love this family and don’t underestimate the hard hard work but they have the right outlook on life a d teach the real values and what is important . 👏👏👏👏❤️🌹
I have anxiety and panic attacks panic disorder and flashbacks PTSD because of my past and I have four panic attacks or two everyday at school and thoughts of self harm
These kids will be such a hardworking when they are adults the same they already are now. Not sure when they play but I see them working much more than playing. Lovely kids anyway!💗

I really wish this show had subtitles so I could turn the music down and read the subtitles because I CANNOT stand music playing when someone is speaking. Also Clive mumbles so it's a bit hard to understand him.

The irony is you cannot in most cases keep a family on sheep farming i the UK so the fees from the publicity etc is what will have paid for the farm next door they bought and will subsidise loss making farming which in effect I suppose becomes hobby farming, the alternative for hill farms being just rewilding I supoose.
