His lungs could have been congested with meconium all you can do is your best. You are a great mother, teacher and a joy to watch. Your children ask questions and are not just standing around, you involve them in every process. This is a blessing. I hope we get to watch your family on TV again as at the moment we are watching you on U-tube.
What a fantastic upbringing.... Amanda you did the right thing for the little ones 😁. Its a fine line of farming and looking after the children... and you are all about empowering them to be strong and happy in sometimes challenging times. Just love your ethos and thank you all for sharing your lives with us. X
Oh Jenny, losing a calf happens but you were trying to shield Clem. She is the kindest little girl and so eager to help and to learn. I love all of your family and the life skills you allow them to learn. Bless you all and dear KitKat 💕
I love everything about this program , this family, it takes me back to my childhood and my passion for farming learning to milk cows at the age of 8 on a nearby farm to where I lived and a career I did for 20 years until forced to give up for health reasons ...still miss it ,
Amanda your the best, everything you do is always right, even showing your feelings , your definitely one of lifes inspirations. Wish there were alot more people in this world like you. Your family are so lucky xx
I swear iv watched so much rubbish in lockdown and the fact I'm skint I got this box with c5 on it and thanks to that I found this show. I put a reminder on my phone to watch on Monday on 5 select. Its the best show by far. I get enjoyment seeing people work together. I'd love a chance to work like this with such wonderful people
I just love this family, those children are brilliant and so well behaved and so helpful, their all a credit to their mum and dad who should be really proud of all of them. I cannot believe how intelligent they are at such a young age and how their mum copes with such a big family and runs that farm, she is an incredible lady and mother. She sets the standard that not many girls/ladies could follow, I have nothing but admiration for the whole family and wish them all the luck in the world, they deserve it.
Tony the pony and the other name I love also. Even the kids names are lovely. Like Raven I would never think of it. But it a lovely name. Great people they are
Update me when new show are on. I don't know how many episodes a season there is. I'm watching it in 5 select. So I hope c5 update us cuz I love the show
Dear Amanda, In my country, after breeding a cow or sheep, we put our fingers into her mouth and pressure her palate up. It is so important here. Also we immediately push our hands on her nose to separate anything to help her for breathing.
I think children when very young shield them from death.theres plenty of time to introduce them to the subject. When my young son grandad died...I pretended he went away on work in another country ...he gradually learned to get use to him not around. Until a while later when he could handle bit better.
Spoiler alert: they all eventually get packed into a truck, taken to a slaughterhouse where they get their throats slits. Dairy cows are in a perpetual cycle of grief, they’re very maternal, they carry their baby for 9 months only to have the calf taken away so that it doesn’t drink the milk that was meant for them. The mother will grieve until it’s time to do it all over again, shes sent to slaughter as a thanks for giving people milk on their cornflakes.
I know it might sound silly, but things that might not matter to us, can impact children massively. She could of gained trauma if she was attached the cow. The woman just wanted to make sure nothing bad came from it :)
If she’s upset about Kit Kat, I presume she is also upset about all the male calves that are killed soon after birth because they don’t make her money?
@@rhionbutcher6728 I don't know what animals you have been around but the animals where I am from don't talk and say I don't want to die and what is your problem with meat eaters anyways
Weren't you taught biology in school? Haven't you ever heard of mal-presentation? You only pull with the uterine contractions. Suggest you watch Yorkshire Vet and educate yourself about the birthing process and all the things that can go wrong ergo requiring intervention.
Show some for Kit Kat the calf!

When are they coming back out on TV the shows or have they already
Such an admirable family. Compelling viewing. The antidote to the woke, politically correct internet world

You are right Holly! We need to remember this.
Cannot help thinking they are brilliant parents!
That is really sad. I could never eat a animal
Fantastik
Oh hindsight
I think mum was more upset about the calf! 😉
Its kids looking after kids yes they have to be shielded sometimes but really she would have been okay I'm sure
