Colfax Massacre Memorial Dedication

In 1873 a racist mob in Colfax, Louisiana, killed dozens of black men. A state-owned historical marker at the site of the massacre erected in 1951 falsely blamed the victims. We have removed that marker and a new monument has been erected telling the truth of this tragedy. #lagov
