I have a few things you forgot to mention in the video. It is best to cover the cage at night as well as having the cage in a different room away from tv or active areas. Cocketiels need 12 hrs of darkness. It helps with the birds not being so hormonal. My 8 birds are out of their cages all day, and when it is bedtime, they all go into the cages for the night. I cover the cages, and they are all happy.

Hello, i have a cockatiel which is exposed to sunlight for at least 8to9hrs a days which making female cockatiel to lay excessive eggs. I cant relocate to anywhere so any suggestions to maintain the diet of female cockatiels and any other suggestions
Hello! Exposing the cockatiel to sunlight for so many hours can actually encourage excessive egg laying, especially in females. Wouldn't it be possible for you to try covering part of the cage to help control this? By doing this you can reduce the time of exposure to direct light. As for the diet, it is important to offer foods rich in nutrients, but without overdoing it with calories. Avoid foods very rich in calcium, such as boiled eggs or supplements, as this can further encourage laying. Introducing distracting and mentally stimulating toys can also help reduce her focus on reproduction. If the problem persists, consulting an avian veterinarian is always a good idea.

At least he’s getting some better know but he’s all dirty and I can’t clean him because he’s too little
