Your song was a great way to remember your friend. Losing someone close is never easy but creating music does help. Those series of notes during the final segment had a "goodbye" vibe in a way. I thought about those I have lost in my life during the ending specifically. Great song!

Also...I love love Schecter guitars. Got 2 sixes, a seven, eight and nine. Don’t ask me why. The nine is the one that Arnold (Arnold Plays Guitar) used to have. It’s a Damien Platinum 9. Bought it from him on Reverb.

Man, I haven’t picked up a 6 in so long, and 8s aren’t my thing. 7s are just perfect.
My tunings are the other way around; I tune Drop A#, with a high F and just leave the G where it is. I had only ever really played drop tuned 6s, so the 1st string on a 7 is the additional one for me. Makes for some rad chords.
When I played a seven string I found my thing on guitar keep it metal man 🤘⛓️🤘⛓️

I'm surprised you're not a Jeff Loomis/Nevermore fan. Been playin 7s since 2005, and its odd when I hold a 6 string.. Keith Merrow is another incredibly talented 7stringer.

Hey dude sorry for your loss, raw emotion is like a lightning strike to the brain which drums up great creativity. As in your song, beautiful, man! Having a full blown argument with the wife, the lyrics roll off the tounge like spit, when doing a made up jam song with the buds. Thought Merrow would be one of your fav's.

You forgot to mention the longer scale length. And because of that you’re not required to buy construction grade wires for your instrument. Longer scale = more tension = you get away with thinner strings. IMO thinner strings gives you more attack. Love your channel bro

My first best friend.
I met him the very first day of primary(elementary) school, back in september 1995.
We grew up watching wrestling and all that good shit in the 90's.
He got me into skating, Deftones, just allsorts of alternative stuff.
One of the best people I've ever met.

Great song, dude. Nice guitar, too. I've been wanting a guitar with the sustainiac, but they mostly have floyd rose, except the Kenny Hickey or Ed O'Brian signatures. Might have to build a partscaster or something when my cash is right.

All I’m saying, you made the right choice getting a Seymour Duncan Nazgül, They’re possibly the most overlooked Seymour Duncan pickup in their catalogue compared to the JB and Jazz or even the Duncan Distortion set.
As for seven strings, I really wanted to get one when I was in high school because i wanted to be as Djent as possible. 😂😂😂 nonetheless I love my first seven string and it certainly put me on the right path regarding guitar playing.
I know I'm a bit late here, but about 20 years ago I bought an Ibanez S7420. Can't remember what I paid for it and I (regrattably) not longer own it. About 2 to 3 weeks after I bought it a VHS tape showed up in my mailbox with a bunch of artists (Steve Vai, Munkey, Head a jazz guy called Jerry Sims and others whose names I can't remember) basically explaining what you just said in the first 3 to 4 minutes of your video. Yeah you have this low B string that you can do cool stuff with but don't forget you have a completely standard guitar below it to do all of the cool stuff you already know how to do.

@@codybruce3864 I feel like we are right on the cusp of gaining a lot more traction and subscribers! By the end of this year I feel like we will have a much larger audience.
I love 7 strings but I still think a 6 string sounds just as good and easier to play. You get what 4 extra notes by adding the 7th string
you get 24 extra notes with a 7 string, and you don't have to calibrate your fretboard. If you know all the notes on all 6 strings, you don't have to do any math. You don't have to change your theory knowledge at all.
Well I guess you technically get 6 extra notes in drop a but you get a different timbre so you get 24 new sounds if that makes any sense haha

You can do all your 6 string chord shapes a step down if you tune like this BEADF#BE just drop G half step to F# the you can do all 6 string chords even ones use every string

Dude you should have a million followers, no idea how you come up with stuff like that. Funny, I just exchanged an esp for a schecter hybrid two weeks ago, also got the plini and nameless plugins after your comparisons (two shitty little recordings up). A question: the nameless is really noisy for me, mids/highs sound distorted in a bad way. Currently using it with mids and presence at 0, and without the grind pedal. What gives? Change IR? Also, sorry for your loss.
