    Nice fish bud. I would refrain from filleting on the boat. I almost got in trouble for doing that a few years ago at the sandbar trying to make ceviche. Keep the carcass until you get to the dock

    I miss seeing croaker like that first fish. I live in Virginia Beach and we used to catch double header croaker like or bigger every drop in the early 2000's and now you're lucky to catch a 10 in croaker

    Not sure if this is FL, but just FYI , keep in mind that filleting fish on the water is illegal (at least here in FL), you will get fined if stopped by FWC and they find you in possesion of unidentifiable fish fillets. Make sure you keep the carcass, but even if you have the carcass you may get in trouble. Great vid keep it up 🔥🔥🔥🔥

    Man that Croaker on a bigger rod at quarter bridge in the summer equals 30 pounder!!! The bigs love Croakers. Eating Black Drum??? Adventurous!!! You should investigate the Mullet run out off the Beach. Anywhere from Ft Pierce to the South end of Hutchinson.

    if FWC checks your catches at the dock and sees those filets you could get some serious fines. There is no whay to determine spiecies, or size. You must land your fish and filet at a filet table on land. I got off but was almost fined for doing something similar. just a heads up

    10:57 you are allowed to Fillet the fish on the boat, before reaching your house. I'm located in Miami and we are not allowed to fillet the fish on the boat while fishing, according to FWC.

    Why do you prefer to hook through the tail instead of in the head. I was always told tail hook they can’t snap as they should where as through the head the flick they do makes a sound under the water. Any reason for either way?

    So as you troll forward cast back wards or toward the. Back of the boat fish will actually circle around you as you come along the bank they can sense the electric motor from about 15 to 20 ft in front of the trolling motor

    You can gut the fish, but the fish must remain whole until you reach shore. I’m pretty sure this is the regulation, check with FWC so that you dont get yourself some hefty fines. I couldnt find the regulation on my phone for you.
