@@JTThymanConductor and engineer are most definitely not the same thing. Engineer: forward, back, and stop. Conductor: all ground based activities and talking to dispatcher. I know I made simple of the engineer but it's just the joke. And yes I work for Union Pacific as a conductor in North Yard Denver.

Most importantly though means that your running on clears so no approaches or restricting signal coming up next. Could have a "flasher" or advanced approach as the next signal though.
If they have the California Zephyr westbound from Glenwood Springs to Colorado Springs that would be a great simulation to do. There is a canyon that can only be accessed by rafting or by rail.
The one where you got off the train before it came to a stop is like an everyday exercise of millions of commuters in Mumbai local trains, I've done it many times as those trains doesn't have closed doors.
I'm noticing that this game uses Unreal Engine 4. So you should be able to to run this using a VR headset and a gamepad to navigate the interface using the Praydog Unreal Engine VR (UEVR) injector without any additional setup. Might even be able to get the motion controllers to be able to point and manipulate the train controls and other interface elements.
