More information like at what speed was he traveling for all of these, but tbh these readings are really close to mine too so no bs this thing really works!
Actually had bought this same shield but i have a 2.5 cone filter i believe. Came to realize when i try to use the smaller setting, there isnt a way to tighten it unless i go the hex or Allen end of the screw. Bummer, but this comment is to warn those who ponder on this same issue!
My engine bay is pretty crammed and it gets hot under There. This probably wouldn't do any good for me. I am considering using sheet metal to make my own. Ive seen some videos with it. It's cheap and you can be 100% sure it fits your car perfectly.
I had a shield with a k and n cia in my first car, still ran hot. I even found metal shavings in the oil. Gonna try and make my own for my van cause geez I be beating the shit out of it and i just installed a short ram . Actually now that I think about it maybe there's shavings cause I redline it too much 😅 also it was a cvt (caliber, but the bad trim which is everything besides rt and srt4 the best one. Banger sound system though, herman knows how to party lol)
Other than looking ok in the engine bay!? does it work I bought one and i had a scanner live data its like 20 F ran hotter, if you need proof lmk!?? Nice Vid man!
I data logged my intake temps live.
This shield 75
OEM air box 67
No shield 114
DIY shield 84
Outside temp 67
I'm calling bs on that test lil guy
@@drewwolf2930 naw that sounds right

@@jordanbeck640 each of those numbers were just at about 45-50. At stop lights add 15-20 degrees to each.
@@sydewayzmo3905 Sounds about right with what I'm getting for temps. For a $20 mod COMPLETELY worth it 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks for this I ordered one for my 3” cone and I opened the box no instructions. Subscribed.

Doesn’t this block some of the air from going into the intake lowering power ?
No bro cause most of it will be cold air from the hole where ever your intake is located it just shades off some of the heat !
@@moderatemods98 great to hear , just bought one
I saw you the other day while I was driving
Haha well next time say hey !
Stalker vibes 👀 lol
Notice any difference?
Not really performance wise bro , but I’m sure it did it’s job !! Lol
His has it been?
Great bro I still use it on my new air setup
@@moderatemods98 sick, it looks very nice.
Hell yeah bro ! Thanks !
stupid purchase.....
“DEAR HATER, I have so much more for you to be mad at. Just be patient”
Stupid comment.....
Exactly without actually checking the temperature after installing the heat shield its talking out of ass to say it works
I bought it bc i have a opening in my hood directly above my intake. Im using it so the water drains PAST my intake instead of hitting my intake
I have the same Shield but I put a layer of heat shield material on the inside of it
