Forgot to say that this is clearly a labor of love great job I am super impressed and I have restored many many boats but you have taught me a few things already. I have ordered the in floor trolling motor that looks so comfortable.
Thanks for sharing. Great build. Way to repurpose a good boat and make it better. Like your rod pole tunnel. I'm not a fan of rod tubes. With some rod socks you can get a great deal of rods in your boat.
Great job on your boat, I had a 1986 tracker I bought in 2002 finally sold it in 2017 I loved my boat caught a lot of fish out it and fish lot of tournaments with it.
That's a great restoration man, I did one as well on my 16' tiller smoker craft. It's a great feeling being able to use something that you created. Please fix all of that darn wiring though!
Looks awsome i redid my 94 xpress 17ft aluminum front deck extension all aluminum re carpeted the boat i put trailer step on to got fulton brand boat buclles realy like them also put a rgb led light kit inside of it deck lights and new carpet decals
Yes I had a 93 tx17 tournament Bought it from the original owner , it was like brand new when I got it, sold it this year and bought a 20ft procraft combo for the family
Thanks man! And thanks again for all your help, between answering my questions at all times of the day and building out my livewell this build isn’t this good without you.
Great restoration so I hate to bring this up but you gas struts are on upside down. There is oil in the body of the strut to keep the rod lubricated and really the seals. Your struts will last much longer if they pop the loose and flip them over.
I noticed that you use the pink corning insulation. Did you do some research on that? Is that acceptable? I have the same bill going on and I am at the insulation point. also, how did you go about bucking the rivets? Did you have two guys with an actual rivet gun?
Tons of guys have used the pink foam. It’s just fine. As for rebucking the rivets I had a buddy help me and we went old school with a body hammer and a dolly.
@@tonymollicafishing OK that’s good to know I will probably get some and cut bats of foam and use 3M 5200 to glue them down. I will stay away from the runners where the water goes to the back. I also want to put some floor vents the little round ones with holes. That was extremely wet in my boat and I took out all the insulation and trashed it.
How many inch should I get setback for hydraulic jack motor? I was thinking about 4 or 6 inch back since I have 75 hp mariners outboard. Thank for your time.

Geez son, looked at that boat. She is a beauty!!! Watched in Sydney Australia.....
Hot dang! Long ways from WI! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for an outstanding diy video. I’m going to restore a 95 lowe with almost identical layout. Your video will be my model. Thanks
How’d your restore go?

Absolutely that’s why I didn’t do tubes. I think the most I’ve had in there was 25.
Awesome rebuild! This is what I'd like to do to- get a deal on a boat that needs some work and refurbish it. Happy fishing!
Your build is one of the best I can find. Going to do something similar to my 16ft Alumacraft
Did you end up doing your alumacraft rebuild?
Great job on your boat, I had a 1986 tracker I bought in 2002 finally sold it in 2017 I loved my boat caught a lot of fish out it and fish lot of tournaments with it.
My buddy redid his 80s tracker last winter too! I helped him with his hatches.
Looks good! You live and learn, with the wiring falling down! I did the same project with a 1997 TX17!
Exactly live and learn. This was my very first build so I was very happy with it and tucking the wire again won’t be hard at all!

Thanks and don’t worry it’s one of the first things I do this spring when it comes back out of storage

Great rebuild..I’m doing my 94 pro 16 now..
Awesome man! If you make a video make sure to share the link, I’d love to see it!
Really nice job , looks amazing!
I miss mine
Thanks man! What did you have? A tx17?
Yes I had a 93 tx17 tournament
Bought it from the original owner , it was like brand new when I got it, sold it this year and bought a 20ft procraft combo for the family
Nice boat
Nice rig!
Thanks!
badass man.

Thanks for pointing that out! I’ll make sure I get those flipped
Dude, I would be proud!! Great boat and great video! I Subbed too
Thanks man! Much appreciated. I am very proud of the boat, many many hours went into this thing!
good video
With the 75 HP, the stock gas tank offers enough gas for a full day of fishing and running?
Depends on how far you go. I make some long runs and have to stop for gas. Just didn’t want to add more weight with another tank.
Love the lay out! What’s the top speed?
Depends on prop but I’m getting anywhere from 40-43 at top end
Great work, the boat looks great and very functional. What do you have for cover?
I had a custom cover made at a local shop near me.
How many people have you fished on this boat with and would you recommend taking it on a 55k acre lake?
I’ve had this boat out on sturgeon bay. No problems just need to watch the weather. And I’ve fished 3 adults out of it before.
Any issues with the trailer? I have some surface rust in the first set of sliders that hold the wood. Do those come off?
I haven’t had any issues, they do come off and you could always replace the nut inserts

did you have to cut the support up front for the ord locker?
Sorry I just saw this, I did make the hole bigger yes.

I have a question do you idle boat or anchor while fishing spot?
How hard was the rear deck to get out?
Not terrible just a bunch of rivets
Well done! Go check out my build of my Jon boat if you are interested! But well done!
What is top speed?
I get 40-42mph right now
