I have three guitars exactly the same; one black, one white and one Cherry burst. Every time I pick up the black one I end up playing thrash metal, the white one I playing 80s glam metal, and the Cherry burst one I'll end up playing 70s rock... Yet they're exactly the same guitars. 🤷🏼♂️
This is my main guitar! Absolutely love it, it squeals, moans, chugs, shreds. I dropped a Seymour Duncan incader in my Epi SG, but i really haven't found the need to swap any pickups on this beauty! I have satin black 🖤🦇
I have the discontinued lemon burst finish. This is my favorite guitar in my small affordable collection. It came out of the box ready to play. Almost in tune. Quality for reasonable price. Sounds amazing, well balanced. From the Rolling stones to Metallica. The LTD Ec-256 was way better in my opinion than the more expensive Epiphone I had sold
The base coat under a candy-apple red finish, is in fact metallic gold. Well, that was true with the originals. These days, there are shades of silver which result in gorgeous candy apple finishes.
Thanks for covering all colours of these new Ltd EC-256 👏 I owned Ltd EC-256 Vintage Black colour before but sold it after having E-II Eclipse with the same colour but seeing Vintage Gold Satin one (sort like a Gibson Les Paul Vixen), I might going to have it again 🥰👍
This might be just me talking rubbish but is it true that the new 2024 line of LTD 200' series guitars no longer have the old esp ltd LH150 pickups but brand new ones that isn't really written anything on them. @PMTVUK have you notice any difference from the old ones? I heard on a forum the new ones have been tweaked a bit to have more tight end ? Can you confirm that ?
I play mine though a Peavey Studio Pro 112 and it growls like a cornered tiger. The only tiny niggle I have is that the stock pups can be a little muddy and blow out too quickly with high gain. It does sound great for playing doomy stuff though.
@@toddetter2207 I have a few HB guitars as well as some of the better known brands. HB has come a long way. I've had a couple with very minor problems. But a couple hundred bucks more for an ESP isn't a deal breaker. 🤙
Harley Benton don;'t hold value man, plus I think LTD and Schecter ahve the most bang for your buck on the entry level guitars. Harley Benton can be tempting but you will feel better after getting an LTD I promise you that!
Well these cheap versions usually comes only black or some stupid faded burgundy blue finnishes in lefty versions😢 red one is pretty as hell and burple burst was also nice but it was discounded like 2 months after it was releaset in leftie version
There is one local store chain that carries LTD in my area but unfortunately doesnt have all 3 guitars to be seen, sure you can order one but they charge a restocking fee which in my opinion is not consumer friendly. Great colors this year. I think I prefer the red and black one with the veneer top but hard to be sure as lighting can affect the real color. Edit: the color of the fretboard is horrendously ugly, they can die those darker to look like rosewood or ebony.
that V with the red pickups makes it look like something from a toddlers brand called "little Tikes". also, showing my age here a little bit, but "tyco" and "fisher price" brands too... seriously. it looks like it was intended for a toddler because of the pickup color. i cannot take it seriously. i just cant.
Great looking guitar except for that ugly red jatoba fretboard. Come on ESP stop using this ugly alternative as fretboard as marketing thing just pushing us to buy your higher/pricier guitar. Rosewood has come down in price at this time so its just a strategic thing from you. No thanks to that. Buying other brands til you lower your prices in general 😡
@@Hyperlink1337 no im not crazy and im not the only one out there who doesnt like this red color that jatoba has. But if you like it thats ok but many dont
It’s funny how different finishes cause us to play differently on a subconscious level.
Totally agree with that. Looks makes a big difference.
Yep! 100%
How else would I style in style
... and after the guitar is hung around the player's neck, its shade/ looks are visible only to the audience and not at all to the player/ owner.

I just bought my first ESP LTD Eclipse. I bought the ec-256 in snow white and it is absolutely gorgeous!!
That candy apple red matte looks gorgeous
The black cherry one is fire 🔥

*invader that is lol
Better than an epiphone?
Would love to see Dagan's guitar collection or a couple of his favourites. He's a great player
I own 2 ESP EC-256 guitars and hands down are 2 favorites of mine when it comes to single cut guitars.
I got this guitar today and it is awesome. No pedals straight into the amp. If you’re thinking about buying one do it

i just ordered the black cherry one i hope it arrives soon

Wow. "3:16" by Van Halen. I've never heard anyone else play that. Great Demo.
Cant go wrong with Vampira.
Vampira. Nice.
Picked up a Cherry Burst 256 for about 200 off and love the thing. Only 'complaint' is the neck isn't 24 frets, but that's negligible.
Loving the hevy devy intro hehe
How do these compare to an Epiphone Les Paul around $600 as far as sound and quality goes?

Hi, which forum do you mean?
Dagan !
🤘😎🤘🌴☀️🔥🎸🔥🎸
Cheers mate !
The Eclipse '87 FR is the one for me.
I love you for playing Devin Townsend 🤘🤘🤘
I'd like to see lemon drop finish on Dagan's hands.

I want the guitar! I know that...but now the hard part....which finish to go with??!! I'm like a child In a candy store
I've been looking at this type of single cut guitar. I'm at a crossroads between this guitar and Harley Benton's SC Custom Plus.

Holy shit DTB 🤘
It’s was a success model that’s why they came with a new color even after more than a decade later
Whats your thought of the EC-1000 with the evertune sir? I have been considering it lately.
chrry burst is cool but makes the guitar look smaller🤷🏼

ESP LTD makes the best Les Paul clones but I hate the sharp horn. If they ever round off the horn I will buy one immediately.
I get you. In my opinion that pointy cutaway and headsrock is what gives the dark heavy aesthetic to them. Diviating from the classics.
Those guitars look like toys in your hands .
If only they could make these 24 jumbo frets
Damn the candy apple red one looks so cool. Feeling weak... must resist... oncoming episode of gas (guitar acquisition syndrome.)

Has that megadeth sound to me.
red
Into the night….. into the darkness……….
Love Ltd. So much better than that crap Gibson and PRS put out.
Honest question. Do you think PRS and Gibson are overrated? Price wise and reputation wise. I think epiphone IS making great products lately.
Is like ESP, Schecter, Ibanez, and jackson are the sports car version of guitars. 😂
Voice of the soul by death, overkill 😢it lives or arch enemy or can't stop by suicidal tendencies 😢or
The black cherry one is the best but they all look sexy 😍
devin townsend
Yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Fat heavy thick nasty metal machines
Vampira
the finish on those guitars doesn't pop out at you. it smacks you in the face and says "i'm a guitar! play my ass!"

you're crazy if you think that the red jatoba in the white binding is ugly. especially with those red paints. amazing looking guitars
