I wish they made a Wolfgang with three single coils like a strat. I love my Wolfgang Special so much, I just wish I could play one with single coils when I’m in the mood for those tones.
Now THAT would be cool! Ed did have a couple of Music Man models back in the day, which had the SSS configuration. It would be great to see a Wolfgang with it!

I'm guessing it was confusing too many people, or they thought it was an issue, haha. Personally, I preferred the reverse switching too. It's a super easy mod to do though!
I purchased this silverburst model before it even hit warehouses from zZounds, now no offense to zZounds, but mine had a goofy defect. At the headstock the "EVH Wolfgang special" printing between the tuning gears was slanted, in fact you could see it from 30ft away. I couldn't unseen it and was a cazy distraction, especially when i just dropped $1400 for the thing. Eddie would have even been pissed. I sent it back for a refund because the 120 dollar discount they offered just wouldn't suffice. How it passed "quality control" i have no idea but maybe laziness. My point being, even if your the Mexico factory whos producing these things, if your gonna yield and carry a name with the EVH endorsement on it, shits gotta be damn near perfect. After all, he sure was in this field.
Nice demo. 3 things I don't like. The neck is too thick for my hands. Rather have a full floating trem. You can't do pull ups on these. Don't like the tear drop burst. Like the traditional burst. it sounds great though.
The Peavey Wolfgang headstock was the JAM. Truth be told, I’ve played a couple of the EVH brand WGs and they don’t hold up to the typical ESP, so I’d never buy one anyways. Charvel does that dry, flat, maple fretboard thing noticeably better.

The headstock has perfect string alignment, small so it doesn't bump into shit as easy and it still is it's own thing. Eddie knew what he was doing

Lots of people find PRS to be gaudy. I don't but.. but lots of people do. I own a few PRS and an EVH btw
