Short test video of the noisy Savöx SW-1212SG 46kg servo

- I'm not sure but if I understood correctly the SW1212SG is a newer version of the pretty popular SW1210SG servo. I thought I could upgrade a previously upgraded PowerHD servo to a slightly more powerful servo. Savöx is a popular brand and I had heard that their servos could be a little loud. Here is a short test video of SW1212SG. I already knew that the claimed 638oz / 46kg @ 7.4V voltage may not be true. However this servo upgrade brought a small extra kick to the steering. Currently my system runs at 6V. On the trail the sound of the servo isn’t so distracting unless you’re right next to the car.

OK I feel better now. I thought something was wrong with mine.
This is clearly a stronger servo than the standard one. If extra sounds don't bother you, this is a good option. Maybe I'll switch to another servo model sometime, time will tell.

I've just fit the 1210 wich I e had laid about for months and had the same noise

I will keep this servo for now. Power and speed are nice. The loudness doesn't matter if you're not very close, but if you want to watch the car up close, the sound is pretty loud. Of course also annoying sound when making videos.

Noisy servo is the most irritating I think. I have a real cheap one 25kg.. not the strongest. But totally quiet 😍
Yea savox is noisy, but my savox 1210sg lasted me 6 years in my Version 1 Arrma Talion before it seized up.
All savox servos are noisy. They are known for the pins that the gears ride on wear out fast.
