- KTM has been plagued by a certain negative perception associated with a particular group called Chapri. However, the tide is turning in KTM's favor as this Chapri group is increasingly gravitating towards Royal Enfield Bullet/Classic motorcycles and iPhones. I don't think KTM has a chapri problem, I have seen more chapris riding Yamaha, It was just a marketing gimmick to prevent people from buying a KTM out of image issues, they did not realize that the only person who buys a KTM is one who does not cares about what others think, they just want a good ride and are riders by default. All riders of all bikes eventually invest in safety gear when they experience a fall or two. There are slippers changing gears even on R15. Its the same for all bikes.

I have Duke 200 bs4. Log muje chapri bulate hai because mai chappl pehenta tha but me har vakt shoes nai pehen sakta. Fir me sandal pehenne laga fir bhi log chapri hi bolte hai aab to bhai me unke bato me dhyan nai deta

Never think any bike is chapri because Bikes are powerful in their ways but , it matter how safely you ride . KTM is most powerful bike brand that has participated in races and also make engine and best Racing bikes for International Racing Tournaments.
Reason for KTM down fall is launching 125 cc segment and 200 cc segment in low price . Due to their affordability, people use it for bad things and without any experience and skills , many people who ride with safety are ment to crash anyway. Due to this KTM cancel their new and more powerful bikes like KTM Duke 790 , KTM Duke 890 , KTM Duke 990 , KTM Superduke 1290 and KTM Superduke 1390 . These models price are almost the price of Z900 byt due to these people they lost their brand image.
KTM is making Comeback and taking actions on chapri. Now Chapris Targeting R15 , MT15 and Hayabusa 😢. Even iPhone is also getting targeted by these chapris.

Hey, I'm from Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh. The bike set me back 2.8 Lacs on Road. I think the Duke 390 is a superior choice compared to the D400. 👍

KTM should start checking things like the background of the one who’s about to purchase it and if they think that the guy categorize as a "Chapri" then they shouldn’t sell their bikes to such people and if they ever decide to do something stupid and cringe things on social media then they should start suing them
Farrari actually does this practice.
But companies like KTM, It's not doable because it's high numbers of volume.
@@baldandbiker Yeah Ik Ferrari does this that's why KTM should also practice this because KTM isn't a small brand even if it loses the chapri customers that won't be a big deal because as time will go by and the chapris will stop buying KTM bikes their image will be cleared automatically and then the people who were afraid of buying KTM because of the Chapri tag,they will start shifting towards KTM
