This format is great. I have listened to your old content to doze off because it was relaxing, but this summary is really engaging and had me hooked. The "Skyrim: Life as a Vegetable" quip is peak comedy. Glad you are back and looking forward to more!
Love this. I really like the idea of taking your characters that you establish as normal people doing jobs and living lives in the “Skyrim Life as X” series, and then later thrusting them into the more fantastical storylines of Skyrim. It really gives that “reluctant hero” vibe that is common in hero’s journey stories. I would really like it if you did an idea like this in the style of your normal series, allowing it to breathe more. Although, I did also really like this new style of video, it was very funny. The “Skyrim Life as a Vegetable” line cracked me up
Excellent video. Please do an entire series of "Random ordinary person beating Skyrim" I'd be really curious to see a bandit chief and his bandit army do it.
I adore the little hints of sarcasm in this video. You play your other characters very straight-laced, so the little digs like "old man yells at cloud" make it all the more funny. Bravo!
"Ah, Douglas, my boy, behold the world: a colossal tree, its roots entwined with sin, its leaves nourished by the blood of the fallen. You, my son, are the wielder of the mighty axe. Go now, and make the world tremble for its crimes.
Honestly man, I think you've found your stuff. The roleplay videos as well, they're class; this, though, of course slightly difference, was just hilarious. Your narration is so, not sure how to put it, normal? It's like someone is sitting infront of me narrating, just feel so connected; defo got a talent there man, fancy seeing more challenges like this with a mix of the roleplay and the challenge, it's your shit, smash it!
Life as a Woodcutter has been my favorites to watch of yours, so seeing you do this challenge run was everything I wanted. I would LOVE to see more roleplay themed challenge runs in the future
I like this narration style but I also miss the authentic live commentary which is really your trademark. Would it be too much to ask if you can slip in some of those from time to time to mix things up a bit?
@@JacobyWakeby Glad to hear that you're not going to abandon your usual commentary style. I'm looking forward to seeing what's next for the Whiterun guard.
My first playthrough of skyrim I was a wood elf who ended up in wihterun to warn the Jarl about the dragons, But first I felt obligated to earn my way to buy better equipment and chopped wood for hours to afford what I wanted from the vendors. First every experience and I've been obsessed with the game ever since and replay to this day.
Hay jacoby next mini series you should do is like a Viking themed play through that becomes the high king in the end your character’s backstory ties into ulfric stormcloak in his younger years he killed your parents you then val to kill ulfric for his crimes you won’t side with the imperials though you side with ulfric just to get close to him and then when the time comes you take out ulfric then claim the high throne for yourself
So its not actually the dragonborn just a mercenary npc that had some armour that looked a bit like the dragonborn. The mod is called populated Skyrim. If you find a dragonborn mod let me know haha
Not a bad idea, I love the fable series and would for sure do stuff in fable 2 if it came to PC. Might have to wait for Fable 4 whenever that comes out
So its not actually the dragonborn just a mercenary npc that had some armour that looked a bit like the dragonborn. The mod is called populated Skyrim.
The only nitpick I'd have for this commentary style is it's slightly jarring/irritating to hear you constantly switch between "I" and "Douglas". I think sticking to one or the other would make more sense
I actually thought about this while writing. I too thought it would be better to stick with one or the other but I guess I was trying to find a balance between straight commentary and some light rp
Trying out a new formula? Hopefully this will bring you some views and subs, but I prefer your usual content. Would hate to see your “life as a” series be replaced by short form content. No offense.
Please Jacoby can you tell me which mods you use? like, how you are able to visit helgen and see the dragon fly away like that? and which quest you did there? thank you
I don't blame the mod Alternate Start at all. But I'm always amused a little in video games how these journals end up written in ways that make no sense. Like that guy is burning to death and his first thought was "I must record the events leading up to my death here!" .It's just such a common thing that so many games do that I don't think most people even question it anymore. But every once in a while it smacks you right between the eyes. Like there, with the character writing several entries during the dragon attack and apparently while burning to death as well.
"Axe conference in Solitude" had me howling, never change Jacoby, never change 😂❤
Haha, glad you like that one
“He then cut wood in only a loin cloth to assert dominance” I laughed waaay to much at that🤣 I love the dedication in these series
Douglas is practically Skyrim’s Paul Bunyan. Absolute legend.
Haha didn't think of that but you're right!
The woodcutter returns
love the narration
Thanks! First time I've done this style
@@JacobyWakeby its definitely a fun way to do this ^^ question, will you bring back/ restart your ranger series? that one was great also
Yes I plan on continuing the ranger. I just need to remake the character and get him back to roughly where I was before.

Every man wants that quite woodcutter lifestyle. 😭🙏

11:17 Skyrim life as a vegetable lmao. It reminds me of things like Reincarnated as a vending machine.
Life as a vegetable 😂😂😂 love your storytelling

i imagine that image of the centurion at the gates battling a hoarde of enraged falmer was the last sight of some poor Dwemer
haha damn you're right
I enjoy your adventures so much! ❤ Beautifully immersive and fun! I’m addicted! Happy to see the woodcutter has returned as well!!! 🥰
Oh my gosh, this was HILARIOUS! You have such a good sense of humor, I loved this! Also, fun to see this version of dear old Douglas, I missed him
i actually really liked this video. i Would love to see more of these!

The douglas multiverse

I like this way of doing things. Having the full series first and then the overview after it’s finished
this was by far the best and most entertaining commentary so far!
poor Hod
:(
I'm happy this video came out in my exam week, now i can completely ignore my exams for a valid reason
Douglas stepping up and alduin is looking like a big tree to chop
I love your role plays. So much fun to watch. You are amazing.
Thank you so much!
So glad to see how Douglas is journey ended up. Thanks for the video. Love the commentary.
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is a great. I hope to see more characters with their own sprouts like this.
I like this narration style but I also miss the authentic live commentary which is really your trademark. Would it be too much to ask if you can slip in some of those from time to time to mix things up a bit?
This! I don't hate this format but it pales in comparison to his live commentary. Also this video was a playlists worth of material!
Yes, this was a test in a way for a more scripted style of commentary. I won't abandon my usual commentary style
Haha you're not wrong, this was 8hrs of footage cut down to 18 minutes

"Vowed to never drink again" until Sam in the upcoming epilogue right?
"While Hod watched from the corner" 🥸 😂
Loved it!
Hilarious storyline, I loved every second of this 😂
I loved it man, it was a change for the better from some challenge runs I'm seeing.
This video was absolutely hilarious!! Id love to see more of these challenge runs!!
Thanks I will make more!
Hopefully this new title will boost your chances with the algorithm
Excellent as always my friend!
I genuinely like this type of content, see if you can beat skyrim as a Fisherman now
I wasn't prepared for how funny this would be!
Binge watching your life as an bandit series and other great work my guy getting better by the uplaod.
Thanks brother!
I would love to see the other protagonists save Skyrim or tackle the DLCs too! This was hilarious.
sweet the Woodcutter is back
Amazing video and hilarious as usual!
I would like seeing you experiment with this format more :D
Very entertaining. You should make more of these.
Your commentary is hilarious 😂
While Hod watched in a corner. I could not stop laughing.
That was brilliant, hah, well done!

Damn Douglas is a savage
Thank the gods all he wants to do is chop wood and not take power
S T R I A T I O N S
💪
Great video,
More life of a guard please!!!
Fun one! Thank you!
Great vid!
Thanks!
The return of the woodcutter
🌳🪓
That was awesome
Proceeds to chop wood and only a loin cloth to insert dominance😂😂😂
Good Commentary! you earn a sub!
Thanks man!
"Im just a humble woodcutter"
*rips clothes off and starts flexing like Johnny Bravo 💪🏾
Ahh yes, "humble"
First video that doesn't start with, "Ah yes, warm your hands by the fire" or "By the gods, what have we gotten into?" lol jk
You're soooo awesome I would die so many times 😂😂😂 great video thank you ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I can't even beat skyrim as the dragonborn....
The Dragonborn is so useless. I love it!

I would like to see Life of a Thalmor Justicar
What mod adds the dragonborn as someone else into skyrim? Been looking for somthing like that for a while
So its not actually the dragonborn just a mercenary npc that had some armour that looked a bit like the dragonborn. The mod is called populated Skyrim.
If you find a dragonborn mod let me know haha
Play as skooma dealer please
Who’s gunna tell him about the Poacher’s axe?
I know about it, I just wanted to use the same axe for the whole run
@ I respect the lore, hilarious run!
👏
Lorerim play through!!!! Please!!
I would listen to you do spoken word or audio books
Dude you need to install dismembering framework it’s very stable and very good
Life as a farmer season 3?
you should do the same concept with fable 3 lol
Not a bad idea, I love the fable series and would for sure do stuff in fable 2 if it came to PC. Might have to wait for Fable 4 whenever that comes out
you don't have to do brynolfs quest to get to esburn.
Oh damn...
@@JacobyWakeby you just got to go through the flagon and bypass them. At least that’s how it let me do it last time.
how do u get a two-handed axe or is that a mod?

First thoughts. Don't the narration as much as the first person videos. Be we shall see. I've really like most of your other videos.
