Caroline, you don't know how happy you made me when you mentioned the '80s!! I'm 47 and obsessed with the '80s. I remember the joy of receiving my first bat wing sweater dress and don't get me started on when my friend handed me down her THREE layer ra ra skirt. It was pale pink with white roses on and I really thought I'd arrived when I wore that one! Such happy memories as a child! Have a great weekend. 😊

My mother-in-law always put out what she called a "relish tray" with fancy meals - Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. It consisted of radishes, celery sticks, carrot sticks and olives, and was a staple at many restaurants too. Very 1950's! I do like a celery stick with cream cheese, but mostly I use celery as part of a mirepoix.
Thanks for answering my question about the evening bag. Since I turned 65, I too have had dry skin and have resorted to slathering myself with a 10% glycolic lotion while I am still damp from the shower. Mine is unscented but I could add a drop or two of scented oil or perfume if desired. Skin is now lovely!
They still do the sandwiches!!! One of my favourites and planning to have one today as we have a “picnic” lunch with our daughter as she’s off on holiday tomorrow. Love it!! X

Hi, yes they are leather, they do have retractable headrests. They are not at all comfortable. They were Ashley’s choice, I don’t know where he got them from, somewhere online. They are very impractical, they get dirty very easily, the stitching went grey very quickly. I recommended strongly against buying them but he had his heart set on them. He likes them. Me, not so much 🤣
