L.M. Montgomery was such an amazing author. She inspired so many
writers. The Pride and Prejudice spin-off novel Wickham's Second Attempt
uses such phrases such as "kindred spirit". Makes you think of Anne every time.
Reading her books now.
Though late, I am so glad to have discovered her.
She is a true inspiration with so much scope for imaginations and an absolute delight even for a man in his mid 50s.
I've just finished Blue Castle and I find her so funny. And of course, her descriptions of nature are enchanting.

There has been a family story that she rented a room from my great grandparents (the murphys) in Stanley bridge, i am not sure of the time, but I believe her husband was ill by this time, and living in ontario. father Bolger has written about it some I do believe, he would be a 3rd cousin of mine.
