Just caught this spot on review. I wish I'd of had Ben's info 40 years ago to save me years of doing things really wrong. Another plus, for me, was the info he went over on the second deal - it was the final piece of the puzzle I needed to get mine to work. I'm not at Ben/Steve Forte level, but I am way further down the road from where I was. The non-recorded hangouts after every segment was a blast. Ben was willing to discuss and go over anything anyone had questions about.

I can definitely recommend this. Ben is very generous with both his time and his knowledge.
Each seminar (4 for each course, 16 in total) consists of 90 min lecture with Ben and then about half an hour of Q&A. After that it's time for the more informal hangout where Ben and the group discuss anything magic related.
I don't think any hangout was less than one hour and the last week they were crazy long lastning for several hours each. The hangout after the last seminar ended at 4:40 am UK time. So after the 2 hour seminar there were almost 7 hours of relaxed hangout! Even David Williamson came by for a couple of hours.

I hesitated because of the price and because I also knew that I would not be able to watch them live. Bought at the last minute. Wow. I'm glad I found the money. I also managed to watch one class live. The sense of community and help and learning is great. And so is the teaching. I feel if it was my first time picking up a deck of cards I would miss out on the subtleties and psychology. I am a hobbyist so I have never gigged. I only perform for my long suffering partner. And she is a tough audience. Now stuff flies past her even though it is pretty much what I always did. The difference? Psychology and attention to detail. And going back to basics with a different eye. Ben has a great sense of humour. His style may not suit everyone. And remember if you are experienced you will know this stuff but not in the way you think! So, if you like his style you will get on with this course. If you know everything, you will not! Great review. And as a guitar teacher I can also testify abundance is vital. Thanks for reviewing. I can only say, in my experience as a student of the course, I agree totally with everything you say in your review. Take care.
