Thank you so much, Clyde 😊 Yeah I’m looking forward to seeing what these kohaku x bayeri will look like. Something that looks like the bayeri but with the whitish colour of the kohaku would look pretty awesome! Thanks for watching and commenting as always my friend. Have a wonderful day and upcoming weekend from Edith & myself to you and Deb 🌵☀️🌺🌸🌼🏜
Great video Daz. Awesome looking hybrids. Exciting to see when they get really big, markings will show more and might be so unique. Great viewers suggestions too for the names. Always the best video. Thank you snd have a great day to you and Edith 🌵💚
Thank you so much, Kath 😊 These are growing fast so they should show their markings better towards the end of the year. Thank you for watching and commenting as always, have a wonderful day from Edith & myself to you and Phil 🌵☀️🌸🌼🌺🏜
Thanks for the update. I used your paint brush bristle method for my Haworthia with my Botany class (pollination in March; seed harvest in April). I got a Total of 215 Seeds from 23 pods from 4 bidirectional crosses of 5 species. Will sow them in May. Cheers from Chicago!
Cheers mate. Haha yeah tons of seedlings on the go. Hopefully some trays can be moved out into the greenhouse soon. Cheers for watching and commenting mate 👍🏻🌵☀️🏜
Such a BRILLIANT Haworthia seed sowing video Daz :-D and all of the seedling Haworthias are so CUTE and GORGEOUS, and thats fantastic news the seeds you have sown in this video are already germinating too, LOL! at no rude names haha, my name suggestions are Plant A: Haworthia 'Dazzle dream' and Plant B: Haworthia 'Edith's Star' Thanks so much for sharing this awesome video Daz, and Hans and I are sending you and beautiful Edith lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER to England and Singapore for a fantastic Friday today XXXX
Thank you so much, Lyn 😊 Quite a few more have germinated since I recorded this video, still got a lot of seeds to sow over the coming weeks though. Aww love the names, especially Edith’s Star 😊 Thank you for watching and commenting as always, Lyn. Have a wonderful day and upcoming weekend from Edith & myself to you and Hans ❤️🌵☀️🌸🌺🌼🏜
Wow! Lovely Haworthia plants! The seedlings are really cute! Good luck with the seeds just sewn...looking forward to see them germinate! Thanks for sharing with us! Lots of love to you Daz and Edith! Good evening!
Interesting hybrids! I can see both parents’ characteristics on them. I didn’t realize Haworthia seeds are big! Good luck on the names. Your viewers have come up with good ones, so far. 😉
Thank you so much, Ana 😊 Yeah the bigger the seed pods the bigger the seeds, although these ones were definitely the largest Haworthia seeds I’ve harvested so far. Thank you for watching and commenting. Have a wonderful day and upcoming weekend from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌼🌸🌺🏜☕️
Hello. You can use vermiculite instead. If you’re just wanting to use something to lightly cover the seeds after sowing you can use a thin layer of compost or horticultural sand instead. Thank you for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌺🌼🏜
Baby plants are so cute. 😍 I have a bunch of petunia seedlings right now as well as tomato, zinnia, balsam, marigold, and cosmos. Can't wait to see them bloom.
👏👏👏 I loved seeing the seedlings germinate 😍, so cool! About the names, although I think it's a bit early to give a right name, I'll give my suggestions too... Plant A: Frosted Chameleon (I don't know why it made think this name😄, a bit crazy). Plant B: Laguna (that means a small lake in Spanish). Anyway... You're definitely going to have overbooking of Haworthias in a year or so, Daz😅😜💞.
Thank you so much, Vanesa 😊 Love those names, great choices. Haha yeah I’ve still got a bunch more seeds to sow soon as well, not just Haworthia but cactus seeds as well. Thank you for watching and commenting as always, Vanesa. Have a wonderful day and upcoming weekend from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌺🌸🌼🏜
Oooh so exciting to see how these seedlings would look like in a few months, Sweetheart! I have to think well of the names as I’ve seen some very good names from a couple of our viewers! 🥰 How are you going to choose the names though? I can’t wait for all the seeds to germinate and show their beauty soon. The first lot you’ve shown are showing very good potential already. Loved watching with you, as always, Sweetheart. Very well done! 👏🏼🌺🌼🌸🌵❤️💚
Thank you so much my love 🥰 Yeah I’m looking forward to seeing what these ones will look like once they mature. I’ll choose the names on the Wheel of Names most likely. Enjoyed watching with you as well babe. Thank you for all your love, support and encouragement as always ❤️🌵☀️🤗😘❤️
I didn't cover my cactus seeds or used any special soil and they seem to be doing all right in direct sunlight though they aren't growing as faster as your seedlings but doing just fine. I live in Southern California.
That’s interesting. It’s usually important to keep the soil moist and the humidity levels up during their first month or two. But if they’re doing fine then all is good 😊 Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜
Great job Daz! I've been trying to cross pollinate my Haworthia the past couple of weeks as most of them are blooming right now. I did collect some seeds form my H. truncata last year but have yet to plant them. Thanks for the reminder that germination rate will go down over time. Here are some cultivar name ideas 😀 Plant A: Haworthia 'Mania' Plant B: Haworthia 'Edith'
Thank you so much, David 😊 I have germinated some Haworthia seeds that were over a year old, but they didn’t have as good germination as fresher ones. Haha great names 👍🏻 Thank you for watching and commenting. Have a wonderful day and upcoming weekend from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌺🌸🌼🏜
Great video Daz, the seedlings are looking great - I hope to generate some Haworthia hybrids of my own this year, although annoyingly my H. bayeri is flowering now whilst nothing else is! My name suggestions are: Plant A - 'Frosted peaks' Plant B - 'Knobbly bobbly'
Thank you so much, David 😊 Yeah it can be annoying when you want to pollinate plants but they don’t cooperate lol. I’ve got a few I’d love to cross with each other but they haven’t bloomed at the same time yet. Thank you for suggesting the names 😁 Thanks for watching and commenting, have a wonderful day and upcoming weekend from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌺🌼🌸🏜
Looked forward to this seedling update! Super jealous, I haven't perfected sowing seeds in the Philippine climate yet so I'm sticking with leaf and pup propagation for now. For your hybrids' names, you could do a combination of their parents' names: Plant A - Hakukage Plant B - Tsukuma

Loving your helpful videos. Just wondering what proportions of JI 2/Vermiculite and molar clay you use, also is the molar clay you use the cat litter one that people speak about please ? Steve 🪴
Thank you 😊 The mix is pretty much in equal parts. It’s pretty much the same stuff as the cat litter but the place I get it from it seems to be a cleaner product, less dust. Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜
Thank you for a really enjoyable and educational video you have some really nice plants
Thank you, glad you enjoyed 😊 Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌼🌺🏜
Will be great to see how those two Haworthia develop over time, and good luck with the Haworthia seeds growing well for you, great video 😁🌵🪴🌞

Yep, I use that in my mixes, too. Plants love it. Thanks for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌺🌸🌼🏜
Thank you for responding, and I love your content and the education 😊@Cactimania
Hi. After how much time do you remove the lid? Is it like cactus that you can have it closed for months?
Yeah they can be left quite a while sealed. I usually start unsealing them after a few months. Thank you for watching and commenting 🌵☀️🌺🌼🌸🏜

Hi, friend! 😊 Can you please tell me if there is something you can replace danish molar clay with?

@@CanarianReggie Yes you can use just compost and vermiculite if you like 👍🏻🌵☀️🌺🌼🏜
