Just a tip, the revolver speed loader is designed to insert fully and twist the cam releasing your cartridges into the wheel. You kind of got them half way and shook the gun and hoped they fell in. Lots of time in a reloading scenario.

This is just the first part. You are required to list any mental health issues, including depression, for both yourself AND FAMILY, so much for Doctor / Patient privacy. In addition, you must list prescribed medications you take OR HAVE TAKEN, such as any pain medication, or any other controlled substance that are legally prescribed by a medical doctor, and get a notarized doctors note as to why you were prescribed that medication. It’s not over yet, you must also get 4 character references from people you have been friends with for over a year, that reside in the same county that they must complete concerning your moral character, for which they must sign a sworn affidavit and get notarized. Still, not over yet, they want all of your workplaces listed, managers names and manager contact info, and why you left/were terminated. They also contact your current workplace and ask to speak to your manager. SORRY FOR THE LONG POST, BUT THIS IS WHAT WE GO THRU IN NY STATE TO SIMPLY OWN A PISTOL:
In NY State, to simply touch, never mind purchase and own a pistol, you must have a license. All NY State licenses are void in NYC, says it right on the back of the license. In the southern counties, such as Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester and Rockland, carry is allowed ONLY to/from target range, no CCW allowed outside of this. Although NY State law indicates a license decision must be decided in 6 months or less, in many counties, it takes up to 2 years, yes 2 YEARS, to finish the licensing process, simply for the right to own a handgun in your home, and it must be locked in a safe. This is just the first part. You are required to list any mental health issues, including depression, for both yourself AND FAMILY, so much for Doctor / Patient privacy. In addition, you must list prescribed medications you take OR HAVE TAKEN, such as any pain medication, or any other controlled substance that are legally prescribed by a medical doctor, and get a notarized doctors note as to why you were prescribed that medication. It’s not over yet, you must also get 4 character references from people you have been friends with for over a year, that reside in the same county that they must complete concerning your moral character, for which they must sign a sworn affidavit and get notarized. Still, not over yet, they want all of your workplaces listed, managers names and manager contact info, and why you left/were terminated. They also contact your current workplace and ask to speak to your manager. Still... there is more, you must list all of your traffic infractions for the last 5 years, and any “arrest”, which includes that $50 ticket for drinking a beer in public on a hot summer day, or a ticket for riding your bike on the sidewalk. We’re not done yet, you must go for a face to face interview with the investigating officer, where they review and you must initial all your responses, while being told numerous times, that “lying is a crime, are you sure that is the correct answer, and lying is punishable by a fine and/or jail time”. They also call your spouse to verify she / he is okay with a firearm at home. After this, the 6-24 month wait ensues, with the reminder that your license can be denied/suspended/revoked for any reason at any time, so do not get that speeding ticket for that 2 years you are patiently waiting. Each pistol purchase requires a trip (2), one to get the purchase document, and one to bring it back signed by the FFL to register the firearm, and add on your license, for me it’s a day off of work and 125 miles of total driving. 5 years later, renewal time, and another set of questions.
This in a state where a free ID, to prove you are eligible to vote, was deemed too much of a hardship for a constitutional right.

Part of the trigger pull has to pull the hammer back and the other drops the hammer. DA's have really long trigger pulls as a result.

It's a double action Revolver, which means the trigger turns the cylinder AND pulls back the hammer. That makes the hammer heavy, since it has twice as much work to do compared to a normal handgun. Heavy trigger
