Grazie ciao
Ho tagliato il rivestimento saldato per mantenere il livello dell'acqua il più alto possibile.
I got the 24ft round intex. Looking into buying the hayward skimmer. Would you recommend going from the 1.25in hoses to 2inch?
It wouldn't hurt
Any issues with leaking because you cut at the seam? I’ve seen videos where they said you have to cut below the seam.
No leaks.
Yea I screwed up the first time I installed one. Did not notice the v split and had it on the inside only. I cut it before adding water and cut to the inside area of the skimmer. I do not cut the gasket but then feed it over the edges and it stays put.
We installed Hayward skimmer, but the pump skimmer has a lot of air then it will completely empty the water. Any idea of what could be going on? Thank you for your help.
Your pulling air in somewhere. Tighten all your fittings.
Have you had any issues where you get the low salt indicator? I have added salt and cleaned the cells but my pump will run for about 30mins then the low salt will turn on and shut off my chlorinator.
I have had one of the cells go bad and that's what it did.
what are the differences of this wide mouth one and the smaller one you had on the old pool as far as performance? Do you think this one skims better?
It's hard to say. A smaller opening makes more velocity but the bigger one has more surface area. I like the bigger one.
I see u send me the waterfall information but the connection to it like the inverter to switch it
I did a video on it.

I have a 12x 24 intex pool, decided to put in a wide mouth skimmer. Everything went good, decided to put it on opposite side of pump, cut the hole got skimmer installed, turn on pump, it says code 90, low flow. So we unhooked it hooked the old skimmer up, runs fine, but now I have a hole cut in my pool with a skimmer I can't use. Location is very important. I am really sick about this, don't know how to fix the huge hole in pool.
Do u have a vacuum hose that is big enough? I've never had that issue. I've done this to 3 of my.pools already.
Yes, hose is long enough, just my sand filter pump is not big enough to suction water from other side of pool. If I had cut hole closer to pump, it probably would have been fine. Just wonder if that size hole can be patched, any suggestions on what I can do to fix this. Help!
@@raynabean620 do you have the original pump for the pool hooked up? I read a lot of reviews as well as have a friend with a 32x16 Intex and the original pump and filter is just too small. I purchased a larger pump and filter knowing I was going with saltwater and needed the extra flow anyways. I am just about to fill the pool, so this may all be invalid since I haven't personally used the setup I have purchased, but just an idea.
@@Mr__Allen yes it's the original pump, I think it's 1/4 hp. I was thinking I needed a bigger pump also. Thank you for the suggestion.
Ok. Thanks a lot man. I am doing it right now.. i put a lil lube on the screws and prescrewed and removed so they wont be to hard to screw them. Again thanks.
Where you live in louisiana?
Bayou Gauche
What size is your pool? And make?
Intex 12x24
thank you!

Hey man, you installed that skimmer right across that seem. There was no problem? You weren't scared of that issue? Didn't look like you were. Well my cajun friend, I am. I'm gunna do it, but damn I'm hesitant. The two pieces of canvas sure is tight and don't come together. Shits tight. My kit came with two gaskets and doesn't need cutting. Water is drained down bout 10 inches. I'm out here just north of Scott, duson area in the country.
This is the 3rd pool that I put a skimmer on the seem. It has never been an issue. I want my water level as high as possible.
Hello, I’m in south Louisiana as well. We have been researching the intex 32’x16’x52” and best way 31’4”x16’x52”. In your opinion , which do you think is better for our area?
I've only used intex, can't speak on best way.
Oh okay, thank you!
Great job!!
Great video!
thanks for the help
I am looking at doing this, but would it be a bad idea to add a second pump just for the skimmer? That might help with low flow issues with the salt machine. Thoughts?
I'm sure you could. You can't filter a pool too much.
Is it best to separate the gaskets? Or install them together? I am seeing different opinions about that.
It's the only way to do it without cutting the liner first. Cutting the liner before the skimmer is attached is a little iffy to me.
@Lucas Maclean He passed away??? OMg RIP!
@bigtimereacts no, I'm still here. Apparently I've got a troll.
@@EverydayMan 🙏🥰
Ever seen one for a round pool? I’ve got a 20’x54” round Intex. Would LOVE to get rid of that stupid double suction hose setup. BTW, great video!
It will work on a round pool. Thanks.
Yes my neighbor cut one into his round pool
I did everything how you did. But now my filter is not pumping correctly. I have a big pump 3,000 gph Intex pump
Make sure your water level is high enough and check for leaks.
There is no leaks and my water is high enough
The water wasn’t high enough
It’s good now
Sux you can fill up the pool all the way though. Because the skimmer won’t work
nice video thank you
Do you live in Texas by chance? Only reason i ask is because i see all the love bugs and we had them BAD when i used to live in texas 😁
Louisiana
Thanx from 🇩🇰
Might want to watch Green Acre Homestead. He shows how to do this easily without cutting that gasket.
How's the seal holding up? Any leaks?
I had my last one for 4 years before the liner failed (it didn't fail because of the skimmer) and the steal was fine. No leaks.
Thanks perfect timing! Lol
It's definitely that time😁
@@EverydayMan hey I don’t no if u done it but I hooked the skimmer up and if u change a change hoses out and buy a 3 way piece u can run your system to where ur skimmer works and u have two return jets shooting into the pool instead of one that’s what I did I can send u a video if you don’t get what I’m meaning
@curtisnelson7765 I get it. Not a bad idea.
Why would you cut the gasket and why would you fill pool that much before hand. Jabroni.
Why not? My liner was completely stretched and I knew where my water line was. Ot is the safest way to do it in my opion.
Instead of slicing the gasket in half , what if you bought a extra gasket, one on the inside and one on the outside of the pool !
I'm sure that would work.
you don't cut the gasket, the liner sits inside the gasket after you cut the hole on the liner, you need to put a skimmer sock.
I wont cut the hole until my skimmer is mounted. Less room for mistakes.
Who the hell was playing the drums with no rhythm in the background of this video
Possibly my Grand daughter
Don’t cut that gasket people. This nut cutting that gasket is idiotic
Why am I idiotic? It works and the frame is in place when the liner is cut.
Don't do it his way
After years of having put the skimmer through the pool liner, would you do the same thing?
Yes
