Great video, you explain things slowly and clearly and demonstrate what happens. I ordered the game (2nd edition) the other day and I'm really looking forward to playing. Watching this video really helps! Thanks for posting it.
Backed and played at Essen, it was great. Coop is really mandatory, you can't do things only for yourself. IT's desperate at first, then you start doing some damages to the Vilain, then start getting hurt and you have to make really important choices like healing the graveyard, yoursel your friends or attack the vilain, the monster, or prepare your focus, or buy a new spell....it's really really good and still it's easy to play. You really focus on the game not the rules .
Picked up the game recently and really like it, most likely a keeper, especially if they support with a good amount of expansions in the future. Wish I backed it on KS, for more of the content. My only gripe is the component quality is pretty average. Sleeved all the cards, and laminating the breach markers helped greatly. May pick up some wooden tokens from meeple source to replace the cheap cardboard chits Awesome review as always. Loved the overview answered a lot of questions I had with a few of the rules
Your tastes and mine are a lot alike. Would you recommend this or buying thunderstone quest on the 2nd kick starter with champion level? Looking to buy another good deck builder.
I prefer Marvel Champions… but not by a bunch. Mostly it’s just the theme of it and the ability to “modularize” it. Mixing and matching villains and heroes and various scenarios/schemes/etc… Aeon’s End is still really good “best in class” of this type of game.
Sorry. Should have mentioned that. All plays I had were under an hour. It plays very quickly. There's less to keep track of here as well compared to Sentinels which can get hairy :)
I kinda regret not backing this one. It looked interesting, but I was like "my God, how many fantasy deck builders do we really need?" At least one more apparently.

Hope you enjoy it!

Tough call. I lean Thunderstone Quest, but I do kind of like the theme of this one more.
Get numenera
If you like climaxes, get this. If you prefer anticlimaxes, get TS.
Are the Cards shadows of Brimstone size?
Yes. Your standard 2.5 x 3.5 inches.
Hello Joel! I was wondering what game do you prefer...marvel champions or aeon's end?

@@DriveThruReview Thanks!
sounds great, exactly what I was hoping it would be like! glad I got in on the Kickstarter for it.
thanks for the awesome review
Just got my copy, love it, - don't be off-set by the graphics on the card, after a few games you don't see it.
I fully backed this on kickstarter.
Good move. The expansions add some nice stuff!
I lost interest in Sentinels as play time could really stretch out. What has been your experience with play time for Aeon's End Joel?
Sorry. Should have mentioned that. All plays I had were under an hour. It plays very quickly. There's less to keep track of here as well compared to Sentinels which can get hairy :)
the knew KS was awesome glad I backed it!

Saying it's similar to Sentinels of the Multiverse sold me. Thanks Joel.
Game looks great but no one is talking about it!
Dice Tower did a review too. Seems to be getting as much attention as any other game.
