Slot being more subdued is a good move , can always be more confident later feels worse to be humbled early on.
It's not a move, he is always like that, he is not British, Arne is not a melodramatic jumping nutcase along the side line, Arne is in control and that's how you make the right tactical decisions. This is not his first year as a coach
Lampard comes to mind as someone who thought he was above his station, got into tussles and controversy on the sidelines, and made a fool of himself. Slot looks humble. Good.

It’s the British thinking someone makes a move and pretends, well some people are real, some cultures are different and British hypocrites have a hard time dealing with the honest and real Dutch culture.

The underlapping runs by Robertson and TAA freed up Diaz, Jota and Salah to focus on getting in on the end of things to finish. The front three were trying to do too much at the end of last season. Credit to Szobo, Gravenberch, and Diaz tracking back on defense.
The difference with Klop is that the midfielders and the attack fall back at the same time as soon as they lost the ball in the midfield. They paid more attention to the defence and avoided high line. Also they conserve more energy than they dissipate. Arne Slot is more stingy with goals against his team, more unpredictable fluidity, but same intensity, same aim.
Ok, let’s see if he can develop the team Klopp’s team at best, say about 2018-2021, let’s hope so

The heavy metal Klopp ball was very taxing on the players body.

yeah , bit of an understatement that by warnock , one of the big things klopp had to do was change the fans who were regularly leaving before the end of the games , i remember him bringing in at the time calling those fans out , doubters into believers wasnt just the players , it also turned fans into supporters , something he bought up in a recent interview when the bloke called him a fan and he corrected him and said "not a fan i am a supporter of liverpool " .

Many many times liverpool needed to win maybe 4-3 just to get 3 points. It's foolish to think klopp was perfect. He was a great manager but wasn't perfect
Me a very much like this balance, the one of the few things I hatted with Klopp that explain the countless stupid injuries records. is the obsessions of always trying to outscored the opponents , and always trying to scored more. I would rather you get your two goals , manage the teams and players and control the game and put up a more defensive team the last 15,20 mins..

It's nothing to do with the new more measured style of play, the atmosphere at Anfield is often flat. They just don't bother for league games unless it's one of the big rivals. CL games, they turn up and you realise what it'd be like if they made an effort for regular league games, but they don't.

yes liverpool fans expect to challenge for the title but not every year, this year we’ve got a new manager and have made no signings so the expectation isn’t the league it’s top 4 with a trophy, next summer if we invest and slot is doing well we’ll want the title. My heart sometimes felt like giving up under Klopp the last couple of seasons. So I would very much take a more controlled style especially for games like these.
I thought it was entertaining. They look more creative than they used to. More like the early Klopp years
Klopp's tactics were more exciting, but also riskier and more stressful, which has really showed up in the last 2 seasons. Slot's tactics are slower, but less frustrating (fewer long balls is a great change). Controlling the ball makes it much easier to create chances and much harder to concede them, and our players have more opportunities to be creative since they don't have to focus on running around to win the ball back as often.
