Billy bragg, i think hes brill i even bought an electric and a basic amp because his between the wars guitar song book had a floppy 45 vynil with it and he goes threw his songs and chords with the tunning and his fretting styles that was great for me i could match my amps sound to his then with s lot of practice began to sond like billy bragg, which wasnt that hard for me becaue of having a deep voice during this time i practiced alot at the back of a church in mexborough south yorkshire the vicar got intouch with billys record company to ask billy to come to yorkshire on his red flag act tour to visit the cortonwood mining area for a promo appearance so he can also see how the miners strike was affecting mining familys but his contract with them says he can't do self promo, but as the strike was comming to an end he was in Barrnsley and came to brampton and Wombwell so i had to go see him and get some guitar tips, so yes in the church one afternoon was billy performing to half adozen of us in the midle of a tour, and untill having a stroke 30+ years later ive played guitar not proffessionaly but ive played.
