Bernie lives around the corner from me. Drives a very small little red car. My group, Starline Rhythm Boys played his campaign tour when he ran for US Congress. I was at this show, before that in 84’ saw Billy at the GLC gig with The Smiths among others in London . Keep fighting the fight, we need it more than ever man.
I was at the GLC gig too. That was the first time that I saw both Billy Bragg and the Smiths. I saw Billy about a dozen times after that, mostly at Club Soda in Montreal. All great gigs. Although I love the solo peformances, my favourite shows were probably the ones where Cara Tivey played piano on some of the songs and Twiggy accompanied them.
I don't know Bernie is a Billy Bragg fan.

I remember that guitar. I saw you twice in Northampton Ma., and once in London in the early 90's. Every show was great! Too old to get out these days but I still love the music. I voted for Bernie every time I was able to even for President!
I was at 2 shows in Northampton as well!! One at Pearl Street in the early 90's and another year's later at the Calvin Theatre. Listening to Billy still brings chills up my spine and tears to my eyes.. Billy Bragg filled me with so much hope and righteous anger back in the 80s and 90s railing against the Fascists. I still support the fight against fascism to this day.

First saw Billy as a busker in Green Park tube station 1981, then 3 more times in Wellington NZ, inspirational political voice.

First saw Billy live in Oxford the year before this. Probably one of the best gigs I have ever seen. He made the same joke about cassettes - now I am showing my age.
