I was laughing so hard at Megan the Stallion. I knew he was making Sonic version of cartoon characters, but I didn’t think he would do actual people.
Maybe that's why I don't know who it was.

Joke as you might but I think these videos do well giving focus on some of the fundementals many beginners artists interested in the series would benefit taking notes from.
I know this is also a joke vid but another tip to making sonic oc’s: The Sonic Archie comics and the new IDW comics. I never knew there was a dragon and monkey design for Sonic characters till I started reading them :0

Who else genuinely enjoyed Waluigi's redesign though? It's honestly really damn cool.
I feel like the next episode should be about creating your own NFTs, given the nature of the show of shaming bussinesses and possible drawings of fictional NFTs. I think it would fit really well. Or maybe, you could do the video as a somewhat more experimental one, in wich it's a video presentation in wich Harry narrates what NFTs are to a fictional company, entertaining to them the idea of them delving into that venture, and it's implications/consequences, giving limitless posibilities for small gags and comentary.

@@sabsyoutube241 The two tracks I used are called 'Dead Reckoning' and 'Demilitarized Zone' respectively, and both are by Ethan Meixsell! You can find them right here on TH-cam alongside plenty more tracks by the same talented chap.

While i am surprised you didn't know this, i can't really blame you, given that the info behind Infinite is pretty hard to catch.
In the Forces DLC, we see a guy who looks and sounds exactly like infinite, except with no mask and distorted voice, and eggman calls him "the Leader of Jackal Squad" iirc.
There's also an obscure prequel comic that confirms Infinite's species.

Ha, ha, cool sequel to a cool video. I would say the worst offenders as far as OCs go where the artist who came up with the non-game animals in the old officialy licensed cartoons and comics. I mean, these were designed by people who should have known better.

Jokes aside tho, to someone like me, who has a hard time imitating such a basic style that anyone can do it if they have eyes, this and the previous video, were super usefull, thank you very much!!!
I just wanted to try to make sonic ocs for fun all by myself, since my actual style is rather a mix of anime and cartoonish shapes but excessive detail, so it just feels off to me to make ocs in another style and post that, but it's gonna be easier for me thanks to this.
A breakdown on the style was just what i needed.

You do the thing! I was wondering about this!
Everyone does lineart big to small. I actually dislike that method. With that method, you designate where the line lies, and then go over it with a thinner line. But where do you put that thinner line? Surely inside the thicker one. But smack in the middle? On the outer edge? Inner edge? Each time you go from thick to thin, you’re losing line accuracy, unless you’re careful.
But if you start small, and draw like you’re scratching a sketch into metal with a nail, you can go back over it with a slightly thicker line to assert which of those chaotic, hairy clusters of thin scratches are accurate.
But then you end up with thick lineart, something that might not be someone’s style? Not necessarily. Say you’re working at a 10 for your final lineart, and you would normally sketch with a 20. Just sketch with a 5 and then a 7 and then finish it off with the 10.

Balan Wonderworld characters designed by Naoto Ohshima are the closest we'll get to seeing what other animals in the Sonic universe would've looked like if Sonic Team hadn't made them all derivatives of Sonic. Even Tails is unoriginal in design.

thanks for the inspiration and advice; I have a Parody of anime that I would love to do one day with a character who is parodying Sonic, and the character is by no means an "OC" but she is original, and if you want, I can go back to the story, maybe make a comic or a pilot out of it.

Also I know nobody cares but hedgehogs aren't rodents, they are part of *Eulipotyphla* a name none of you will remember but it also contains moles and shrews and they are all quite similar in being little insectivores with pointy snouts and that's something you all can remember.
The rodents, Rodentia, all have in common their Timmy Turner front teeth. The only other mammals with those front teeth are the rabbits, hares and pikas (they are like small cute rabbits, a worth search) of Lagomorpha that are related to Rodentia but no the same. So if it's a mammal with Timmy Turner teeth and it's not clearly a rabbit it's a rodent! But if it doesn't have those it's not!
