Regarding the European Travel Information and Authorization System (ETIAS), travelers who are citizens of visa-exempt countries will need to have this authorization before they will be allowed into EU countries that require it for short-term stays (up to 90 days). It is only good for short-term stays. There are 30 countries in the EU that require visa-exempt travelers to have the ETIAS travel authorization. It will be linked to their passport. There are a few exceptions to needing the ETIAS authorization, and people will need to check to see if any would apply to them. The ETIAS is NOT a visa, and it is not payment for a visa. It’s good for 3 years, or until your passport expires (whichever happens first). When you renew your passport, you will also need to renew the ETIAS authorization (even if you still have time left on your 3 years). From what I’ve read, the system is meant to make sure you are who you say you are, and to make sure you’re not a wanted criminal anywhere in the world or would be barred from entry because of a past criminal record. Could probably also be helpful in finding missing persons and victims of human trafficking.
Clarification: ETIAS authorization required even if you already have US passport that is still valid? Although called a Visa Waiver; I a US Citizen with passport will need the ETIAS to travel to various (not all) countries in the EU.

We were able to clear US customs in both Dublin and Shannon airports in Ireland. It's a game changer!
😂😂😂
There are no US customs in foreign countries 😅
I signed up for Daily Drop Pro last week!!!
Better have a Passport ready Never know if we need leaving the Country only one way.
I'm a Kiwi. New Zealand has had online passport applications for over 13 years, usually takes 24-48 hours to be processed. My last renewal took 8 days to get to me (I live in Montana so international DHL delivery).
Sorry, but the State Dept is 20 years behind, I feel sorry for anyone raving about how wonderful it is. Kind of pathetic, really.
Why does TSA look at ID cards? In Canada you show your ID at the check in gate and also at the gate before you board the plane.
From the Homeland Security website - As of today, according to the Department of Homeland Security, all states, the District of Columbia, and all territories are issuing REAL ID compliant driver's licenses and IDs, meaning no states currently lack REAL ID capability; every state is now considered compliant with REAL ID requirements.
What were you referring to when you said only 70% of the states?
It‘s not just the EU that will start the visa waiver pogram in 2025, the UK will do as well, theirs is called ETA
Thank you!!!
Most women "over pack". When I went to Spain in 2019, my sister told me to get a carryon only, and I did. I had zero room to bring back souvenirs. I luckily had a large hand bag, and my souvenirs had to be minimal, and fit in my handbag. I made it work....but my sister and her daughter had so much luggage. I was so upset with her because I did without certain items, and she totally ovetlooked the "pack light rule".
Most women overpack is a huge blanket statement
I have a real ID from my old state in Florida. My new state doesn't have real ID yet.
Online, It says if I want to fly, I can still you my old ID with the hole punched in it.
I haven't gotten on a plane in years, I'd much rather drive. LoL
Living in the USA. Does that include the territories of the U.S. .?
Hi! I will be taking a cruise from Uk to France in Aug of 2025, do I need to apply for ETIAS?
Yes you will need to apply for ETIAS because the UK is no longer in the EU.
0:53 unless you're a mgrnt. Seen videos of them boarding planes without having to show any id. 😅
ETIAS is not necessary for Aruba, Right?
Interesting/informative/entertaining.
IM US CITIZEN BUT DONT HAVE PASAPORT.
WHERE TO GO TO GET IT?
Is my drivers license a real ID? We have passports.
I hate airlines separating families😢 Do you think they are required to seat a child and two parents on the same seat or only one parent?
I never thought of human feet as offensive, unless they smelled funny at close range! I usually wear flip flops in the Caribbean, plus if they're going to make me take my shoes off to go through security it's way easier. Maybe I'll have to take moccasins or something just in case...
I believe your incorrect, your passport is issued by the Dept. of State so exactly how is a state going to make it invalid?
That app sounds very interesting. How in the world do you keep track of the shuffle game of paying for home expenses??
This is down right crazy..
What is the website to renew your passport on line?
How do we give someone all of our credit cards information and trust that their system won’t be hacked? Oh I would love to have a program like that, but I don’t know about that.

Uh, doubtful
I've heard about the ETIAS requirement, still waiting for it to go "live". We are going to Europe in May for a cruise, so we'll see....
It’s supposed to go live in May, 2025.
Was supposed to go live in January of this year, and on another date before that, if I remember correctly.
We’ll see what happens in May…
HOW DO I GET A PASS PORT
Hi good morning here in Az USA
New subscriber ❤❤❤
Dublin is one of the TSA pre-clearence airports. passengers are treated as if they're on a domestic flight.
With the bare feet rule, what about sandals or flip flops? Feet are bare.
What's real ID?
I will be traveling to England in September 2025. Is this country part of the EU? Thanks for this information.
England is not currently part of the EU.
They are also not a member of the Schengen Agreement.
They have their own equivalent called the eta which opens on November 27
Due to Brexit, no.
Renewed my passport by mailing in my old and picking up my new passport in Auckland, NZ while I was there for 3 months. They said 6-8 weeks, but it was done in 3. I did not pick it up until almost 3 months though as I was only in Auckland for arrival and departure. Thankfully the bus, ferry & train did not require a passport for tix and the normal hotels I went to didn't either. I mostly used airbnb's where a passport is not needed at all there. NZ is not a place where IDs are needed much.
That voucher is just a way to make more money by cancelling or delaying your flight, give you the voucher, then all nee options are $500 more than your original ticket.
I renewed my passport in 2023 and now have Global entry as well. I have has a realID since 2019, which makes me good to go. My realID doesn't expire until 2029 and passport is in 2033.
I see survivalist videos all the time, of how to process Chickens and Pigs, do I need Real ID, to get processed?
Our next big trip gets us home by April 30th so hopefully we can skip all this until next time 😅 unless we get stuck sonewhere😮
Im prepared because i don't go anywhere 😂
😂😂😂
I'll just use my passport real ID.... Its like $100 here and my old one doesn't expire until 26.
