    Just started my first succulent garden and I just want to say THANK YOU for posting so many informative videos. I had no idea how much impact rocks and layout really make.

    Hi Laura. I just love your programmes.
    I live in Cape Town, South Africa and we can grow succulents here.
    After watching your programmes I have attempted to redo parts of my garden. As I am not too steady on my feet on rocky terrain I have limited places that I can safely work on. We have had some rain in the past few days and I do not think that my new beds are going to be too happy about that. We will just wait and see
    I have so enjoyed watching you that I have told all my friends to watch - I know some have and been inspired carry on with your programmes

    Hello, You have great videos and do really impressive work with succulents! I am in Escondido and you know what kind of very wet winter we have had in San Diego. My aeoniums really have seemed to suffer. They have always been in pots since they were tiny cuttings. They did great last year in Oceanside with a south facing patio succulent mix. However now after the rains and a move to Escondido in June of last year and against a south facing wall, they were looking bad, spindly and droopy up until two weeks ago. I moved them out of their pots to a raised bed north facing with a succulent mix. I had to prop them up with ties and stakes and so many branches broke in the process. Any suggestions to help them make it? I wish I would have put them in a north facing bed. Is tall and spindly OK or should they be short sand stout like me? Thanks for your time.
    Kind regards,
    Josh

      joshua drake I’d cut them up and reset as cuttings again! Now is the best time to work with Aeoniums as cuttings!

      Linda Brown sorry. I have an interest in finding succulents in Florida, as well. I have a friend in Naples that has been hitting surrounding nurseries with poor results. Let me know if you find any!

    Question about the mealy bugs after I spray with alcohol, should I remove them from the sun? That’s what I’ve heard. But for how long to they need to stay out of it? A day? 2? Thanks!

    Can you propagate a sunburst aeonium from a leaf?

    I am new to succulents but have been gardening for over 30 years. I have to ask, would the roots with some bit of stem left on it make new plants after it's beheaded? It just seem like such a waste to trash them.

    • @LauraEubanks
      @LauraEubanks  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      oldladytoofast some succulents will regenerate after beheading and I take advantage of those! The aeoniums featured in the video, spread like weeds and reproduce like rabbits. Once bloomed though, she's a goner. Did you notice how many pups I had after cleaning? Those will root quickly and start reproducing quickly. Best of luck with your succulents!

    I LOVE watching your youtube channel! I wanna ask something, can I propagate the aeonium plants from the leaf just like any other succulent? So that once my aeonium blooming, I can use the leaf to propagate instead of throwing it to the dustbin. I hope you would like to answer my question. Have a nice day Laura!

    @Laura Hi from Australia where June is winter, is it still ideal to do cut aeoniums like you have done? Mine have 3ft of legs! #tallproblem

    • @LauraEubanks
      @LauraEubanks  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Charmaine Brown now is the time! Just be careful of heavy rain before the cuttings root.

    • @ChowPowPow
      @ChowPowPow 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're so great for getting back to my question on a past video -- appreciate it!
      I'm guessing heavy rain will lead to rotting!
      Wish I could show you a picture of the area I wish to rework, got aeoniums and agaves to use around a blank rock area which is flat. Do you give design advice to your international fans?
