I counted 12 licks in the 32 bars this solo lasted, a whopping .375 lpb average! Much higher than the normal 0.003 of most songs, since they contain only 1 lick in their whole runtime usually.
Hmm! I know some of these words!
I'm at a count of 14 licks !
@@Loweene_AncalimonMe too! That brings it to an lpb of 0.4375, inconceivable!
Such a high lpb is bordering hardcore porn.
I counted 0, because what he's playing isn't the lick.
Minoru Mukaiya was nervous and went to default solo settings because Casiopea reportedly played right after Miles Davis. They each had a lot of pressure on them. Akira Jimbo, their drummer, made an obvious mistake in the morning performance of their song 'Misty Lady' as well.
Bro, imagine seeing on a concert band list you see Miles Davis and then Casiopea straight after. I'd have a heart attack
Tbf, I listened to the whole thing, noticed the mistake but man did they strike hard on that one
@@longlifetometal1995Where can I find that?

Bro has memorized The Lick in all 12 keys
The Well-Tempered Lick
The Gobble
There are 15 key signatures, and 30 keys. Circle of fifths is a good reference point.
@@ulyx9804jokes are like frogs - when you dissect them, they die.
@@ulyx9804 I have it memorized in 12 keys
With Casiopea, you don’t even need to count. (∞)
it's really hard
CASIOPEA AAAAAAA
I LOVE that they're getting recognition again for how insane they are. PLEASE KEEP THE CASIOPEA VIDEOS COMING
that's not the lick anymore, that's the SLOBBER
But it's literally not the lick...
I see Casiopea, I click immediately
This guy is just pure joy when he performs.
Legend says, he’s still playing the lick to this day.
0:22 be sure to raise your eyebrows so everyone knows how good of a solo this is.
When Adam Neely decides to Adam the Neely
It's close, but it's not exactly the lick. The lick ends a step lower than the one he keeps using.

“how many times are you going to use the lick?”
“yes”
Minoru mukaiya is literally the most powerful human being in the history of our planet.
This song reminds me of “How it’s Made” for some reason😂
0:25 Wait a minute! Isn't this Cory Henry's Lingus or what?!
I thought the same thing.
he plays down the chromatic scale. this is something common in many solos
@@Hitsko ...but similar synth sound + pitch wheel usage, and overall composition that I won't get into in detail. The only significant descending chromatic line is around 0:25 and even then he's doing interval skips on his way down. It's not straight chromatic.
@@Hitsko not only descending chromatic pattern is similar but also the lead and harmonic progression in bar 19-20-21.
@@MichaelColombo Yea , he is a monster xD.
gave me more licks than my dog
Can you transcribe "Oblivion" by Adam Rapa? Just incredibly well played.
HOLY SHIT I GOT FEATURED! THANKS SO MUCH GEORGE!!
That run down at 0:25 ish is super tasty, what's going on there harmonically?
Sounds just chromatically moving down to me.
Dissonance my beloved
Casiopea my beloved
yes
I turned the lick into the refrain of a rondo, but it still doesn't use it as many times as this solo. 😅
LEGENDS
Raising your eyebrows during a solo says it all
Synth players and the mod wheel in synthesizers are a match made in hell.
Is this just a keyboard he's playing? I want this synth sound lol for midi if someone knows what this setup is
Yamaha DX7, it's easier to spot in the full concert th-cam.com/video/Ts6OwUBrLyE/w-d-xo.html
(around that time, Minoru Mukaiya was particularly fond of the DX1 and DX7)
@@plazasta Thank you
Casiopea members aren't from this planet for real
He'd probably answer: "Yes."
0:50 he was bouta play giant steps
Yung emotions ni kuya yung nagdala
Nice music!
When are you gonna do the notation video?
I'll admit. I don't know what the lick is, nor do I know if it was played at all. You could all be playing a massive joke to the common pleb, and I would never know.
12 liccs and 3 MarioKart liccs variations
Hymn of the Seventh Galaxy by Return to forever is built on the lick
That was awsome though!
Minoru !!!

Q: how many times can you play the lick in one solo?
A: yes
Sounds like Sonic Adventure ost.
Does anybody know what synth that is?

why would you comment this
This title is an insulting simplification of Minoru Mukaiya's solo. "the lick" is is a natural minor enclosure line that has existed in Jazz inspired music for 100+ years, and wasn't a meme in the online music community until a couple of years ago, I am vomit.
you are vomit indeed
Glad to see more CASIOPEA
They are amazing and deserve all the recognition 🫡
