I’m a scientist. If your entire product is shielded by smokescreens, I’m just not interested. Period. I don’t care what photos or videos or testimonials I see or hear. If it’s novel and it works, tell me why. If it’s protected intellectual property, point me to the patent. Period. End of story. This is 100% a marketing gimmick. There is just no doubt at all.
1000% agree. This just feels like an updated version of those 2000s ‘keratin therapy’ hair dryers that were supposed to magically smooth out your hair. But with a lot weirder marketing around it.
So true! I’ve learned not to underestimate human ingenuity - if there’s a technology or idea that truly works, people will find a way to replicate it for cheaper and we’ll all have access to it and knowledge of what’s really going on.
Science background here, too. Show me the evidence or get out of my face. They're not protecting any science behind the device, they're just not wanting to give away the recipe to the snake oil.
the technology of this sounds so sketchy, “takes the moisture from your body and puts it in your hair” 💀😭, this reminds me of that sunscreen brand that was just gold leaf and water and you spray it in your mouth and it protects you from the sun by raising your “vibrations”
@@docp4449 james welsh has a video about it. considering the fact that sunscreen is literally a form of cancer prevention and is classified as a drug by the fda im surprised the got away with it
I'm sorry, what? They pull moisture from inside your body into your hair? That sounds like I'm going to see a commercial in a couple years "if you or someone you know has been harmed..." 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
@@caitroseco6752 they're attempting hydration as opposed to moisturizing. The hair is partially made up of water and you will actually notice a decline in your hair health if you are dehydrated. Which brings up another question. Would you need to increase your water intake while using this? If it's taking water from your body it would make sense that you would need to replace said water.
I need a materials engineer to take it apart and see how it truly works tbh. Since the company wont give us answers. I'm a biochemist and the only thing I am thinking can cause this effect is a superior ionization filament inside giving the frizz free result. The hair straightener and curling iron probably is an alloy or specific coating that is causing the smoother result. Whatever it is, I just hope it does not have any adverse side effects to our health. 😅👀 That is my main worry with why they are not soo upfront with the technology. Some quality control would be nice.
@@AbbeyYung Yeah I work in Quality Control and alot of brands that hide possible substances that could be harmful to health can have sketchy marketing, to hide the possible health gray areas of regulation.
@@AbbeyYung If you are up for it, send a shaving (like 1 mm) of the curling iron or flat iron to a materials science lab for testing. Not to break their secrecy, but for health purposes for yourself. ^_^
Also, regarding their fear of people replicating it - I call BS. High-grade military tech has been reverse-engineered for decades. Also, of course they don’t need people to buy it. They’re charging >$1,000 for a product that almost certainly costs
As soon as Abbey's video finished, I wanted to write your exact same words... Reverse-engineering... you don'y even need to give details... it's enough to have a good team get their hands on the product and, with time, they'll duplicate it! 👍
THIS! My first thought was “couldn’t someone just take reverse engineer it?” Lol and with their smokescreen marketing style I really hope someone does. If it actually works well I’d definitely love to have one but I’d rather buy it from a more honest company and I will not be paying $1,000 for it
You made a comment about keratin treatments causing damage… can you elaborate?! My stylist insists it is beneficial for the health of the hair, but in my experience it just destroys my curl pattern even years after it fades. Would love a video discussing different salon treatments including keratins and Brazilians, how they work, and if they are even different or beneficial. Thanks Abbey!
Demi permanent smoothing treatments such as keratin and Brazilians don’t ruin the curls/hair. Improper trained stylist and heat tools do. These treatments are customizable to fit the clients hair type and goals, which needs to be communicated with your stylist what you’re looking to achieve. If you want manageability in your hair have the stylist turn the heat down from 450 to 400 and only pass over your hair with the iron 2-3x’s vs 450 7-10x’s. These treatments can be amazing when used properly. Just to simplify, ask your stylist to lower the heat temp of the iron to around 400 and only pass the iron over each section 2-3x’s. Hope that helps!
Keratin itself doesn't damage the hair the issue it's that they need a lot of heat to "attach" the keratin to your hair (if I remember correctly the last time I did a keratin treatment it was like 5 to 7 passes of a flat iron per section) so when the keratin wears off u have Heat damage
I want to add up Its the heat thats damaging your curl pattern, not the keratin itself. Also keratin is supposed to last about 3 to 6 months depending on the treatment you got.
The creator of the repronizer worked at Panasonic on their Nanoe and Ionity lines before coming out with these products. Please get the Panasonic products for comparison.
Never ever trust before and after photos. There are a million things you can do that will change the way your hair looks in a photo. One pass with a brush will make a difference.
What I fear is that they temporarily make your hair look better but in the long run, destroy it or damage it. Some hair products temporarily make your hair look better at first use, but the more you use it, the more your hair looks dried out and frizzy. Take a look at the Dyson dryer for example. If you treat it as something that causes no damage (they're lying), it will very much damage your hair if you don't have the 15cm distance between it and your hair- because it's a dryer, and dryers have heat. Even just take a look at some regular hair products (shampoos, conditioners, creams etc) that temporarily make your hair look better but after a while your hair looks worse. What I'm getting at is that because we have no information about the product, so we don't know if the technology is what it claims to be and actually, genuinely impacts your hair in a positive way in the long run, or if it will be a similar case like the Dyson that actually causes damage
My regular hairdryer gives me a smoother finish then the any of the Dyson styling tools. But I agree I wish this was compared with a regular blow dryer.
Ooookay. Retired engineer’s perspective. So 1. It’s all delivered via ceramic plates (their words) but 2. It’s not heat or wind driven. Without stating it, they are effectively implying that there is some life in the hair (which is why testing cut off hair wont work) and this is impacting that life. We dont have a parallel for it because other devices dry the hair (which only becomes more dry the longer you dry). This device (my paraphrase) is rearranging the molecules at a subatomic level within the hair-closer to the way you think about deep bond repair like k18 but even more micro level. Intriguing. There is quite a lot we do not understand about the atomic level - electrons for example, are they “real” in a concrete sense or are they simply the best explanation for what we observe (probably). If you want to get a quick intro to this concept, look at the double slit experiment. Observation is everything. Atoms rearrange themselves when being observed. Yes. Read that again. It is f*cking weird. But repeatable. Dig in, you are welcome. Soooo while it seems super unlikely they have cracked the quantum level nut … advances in the field have been dramatic in the past 3 yrs in particular. Just hard to imagine anyone would apply to hair drying. Replacing lasers fillers neurotoxins in dermatology seems the more logical step and better b2b price points ($250,000+ per machine easily justified by any derm, even $1mm easily justified if the machine delivers). Organ regeneration through molecular restructuring, hmmm possible. Then again, medical devices require extensive testing, a hair dryer does not. If this machine does what they claim (if), $1000 is actually dirt cheap for the device. Thats less than most botoxers spend on botox each year.
I just had Albage lightening by this company and she uses the Repronizer during and after the treatment. Umm WOAH?? My hair has never looked and felt so good. Critics be darned. I’m buying one on layaway!!
@@reneemarchitto6463 I am. I had virgin light brown hair with red undertones, and it lifted fast and well. I had her do mostly the underneath and face framing, in case I didn’t like it. I will be back for an all over tint in a few weeks. Time will tell if Albage is a good fit for my fine, damage-prone hair, but so far, so good. The Repronizer is like magic though. I totally get the skepticism but dang, it’s awesome
My speculation is that they made a really nice hair dryer, and decided to make a bunch of claims about its reparative ability that 100% aren’t true. It’s a shame, because I think they’d be more successful if they just marketed themselves as a high end hair dryer that will make your hair look really nice, rather than all these pseudoscience claims about repairing. Either way, I just can’t justify spending $1k on a hair dryer 🤷🏼♀️
Thank you for taking another one for the team, Abbey. I don't even know what to say... This is so weird. I would definitely like to understand the science more, and how this all works, and I HATE the sketchy marketing, but the reality is, I would never spend that much money on a hairdryer. I feel like I'm already going overboard with products, all the bond repair treatments, and other stuff, it adds up, and I feel like I need to draw the line because I'm already losing control $$.. so in a way, maybe it's better I don't know more lol
I will start by saying I am an engineer and see things like this and want to do a deep dive into the claims of the device since claiming to “modify spacetime”…. Well yeah. Anyways after some research and diving into the patents filed by the manufacturing company I was hitting a wall until I found a similar product. I am making a few assumptions here but it makes sense when put together. The device is using infrared radiation heat to dry. Meaning instead of just blowing hot hair it is drying with infrared waves coming from the device. This does a couple of things that actually aligns with their benefit claims. First drying the hair from within the hair shaft instead of from the outside which preserves moisture and also infrared radiation is now being claimed to help with hair regrowth and scalp therapy (which aligns with what they said about not being able to do the side by side since they claim it’s helping the scalp overall regardless). I think the reason they are being so sketchy is because it absolutely is a scam and a rip-off of the patent and knowing that they stole the design they stay far away from anyone that wants to challenge their technology claims and they are so passive about trying to convince people that it works. The good news is there are other infrared hair dryers out there for much less money and basically will work the same way. Edit: Want to add that the manufacturing company is named “Lumielina” so that kind of helps confirm. TL;DR - this is just an infrared hairdryer and like red light therapy for your hair.
Thank you for this insight! Can I ask which product you compared it to? I saw that Zuvi Halo dryer and wondered. Also someone talked about the engineer for this company also worked on the Panasonic nanoe line. They make some of the similar claims - especially how your hand feels silky if you put the dryer on it and can moisturize your face and leave hair silky. I bought one and it does seem similar with nice results, but now I want to look into the infrared for comparison to that!
I would LOVE to see you use the "dryer" on camera, live. Admittedly, there's no way I'm going to spend $1,000 on something for my hair, but so curious if you get the glass result!
ONLY 6 MINTHS WARRANTY?! WTF?!😱The marketing bluff is one thing, I can appreciate the secrecy if this company has found something they don’t want others to replicate, but only a 6 month warranty on an item costing over £1K, are they insane??!
Thats most likely going to be me. I am nervs about these possible after effects 😂my hair is so fuct rn so I'm willing to try it but fk 1200 for a straightener ugh I can afford it I just don't want to but girl who did my hair today used it and it's looking killer now than this AM
I'm probably wrong but I'll have a stab at it: My guess is it's some kind of dehumidifier, drying your hair while also sucking the moisture out of the air around you so that the hair doesn't frizz up. Possibly also has some sort of 'ionic' technology like those hair dryers that are meant to have a filter inside that blows out tiny particles of sealant to smooth the hair, and something about negatively charged ions? I'll go home 😂
I'm thinking ionic too. Seeing how ionic hot tools, hot brushes and dryers really make a difference on my frizzy hair. I'm wondering if it's ionic like say the Harry Josh (my fave) or Elchim Healthy Ionic (second fave).
My eyes rolled into the back of my head. Their marketing is also gross - become more beautiful? Japanese words to add ambiguity and mystery? Nah. I'll stick to bond builders and heatless techniques, thanks!
@@SarinaValentinaxo I do the same. Always air dry (warm climate and fine hair so its quick), use K18 every week s well as a pre-wash bond builder, hair masks and silk. My hair is always perfect! I stopped dying it a few years ago so all bleach is gone, simplifying my routine feels awesome.
I can definitley see a difference on the "repronizer" side...am kind of intrigued. The new Elchim Anemos dryer has an extra attachment system that you can buy that "blows" a honey treatment on to/into your hair...reminds me a little of this....
If I was selling a very expensive product, one where results could be potentially incredibly different from person to person, and there is a greater propensity for user error, I'd be super vague, too. You can't sue me if I've made no specific claims about any part of the product.
I’m very intrigued. Not enough to spend $1000 or more to get them, however enough to go I’d like to see results in 6 months. I’ve got naturally, extremely curly hair, so the curling iron is a waste on me, but that hair dryer is interesting. I’d be willing to look at the $300 one, but yeah, even that is a push for me. Asian marketing in general is just strange and this follows the same pattern. Keep us up to date, Abbey, I love your videos.
Only heard about these products from you. If I could afford them, I would buy them in a heart beat. Anything that furthers my hair journey, I'm down with. I'll be so very interested in how these tools work on your hair in the long run.
Thanks Abbey, I love your honesty. I am intrigued for sure (my hair is BAD) I did notice one thing on the website, it is the first full sized ‘dryer’ I have seen that has universal voltage for worldwide use. I am dying to see your long term review because honestly I am considering it seriously. Thanks again.
I wish you had compared this to a regular blow dryer and not a Dyson. None of the Dyson products have enough horsepower to seal my hairstyle, after an hour of using any Dyson styling tool my hair gets frizzy. So I’m not surprised the Repenizer (that name though 😂) has a smoother finish.
I'd like to see it compared to an ionic dryer like the Harry Josh or the Elchim, they smooth more for me than non-ionic dryers. I'm wondering if it's ionic.
Happy Easter Abbey💐 (If you celebrate) I would love to see the 3D at some point compared to the 27D. The 3D is probably the one accessible to most. Thank you!
Is this just an over priced ionic hair dryer that they’re making ridiculous claims for? With ion technology in hair dryers “a circular netting of a specific metal is heated and as the metal warms, negative ions are generated” and “these negative ions are attracted to positively charged water molecules on wet hair, causing them to break down into smaller droplets.” “Negative ions don't open up the hair shafts, so the hair remains smooth and sleek.” Sounds similar.
@@samson_93They make a bigger difference than you’d think too. My super old conair died recently and I decided to upgrade to one without the ions. I hated it. My hair was poofy. Ended up finding my old one at a thrift store.
i've been obsessed with trying to understand the technology of this product for a while. this company has insane advertisements, one where they hold the straightener on a girl's hair for 1 hour and the "scientists" in the room are like "her face is becoming more beautiful!" they also make fake accounts on reddit and write "skeptical" reviews where people love the product but dont understand it. i refuse to use something that might be like spitting keratin or some chemical onto my hair without telling me, but i will never be satisfied until someone breaks it open and identifies the components 😭
I would love to know as you keep using the tools which one to get if you could only get one, the hairdryer or the curling iron. For example- at first it would seem to for sure get the hairdryer but …I can probably dry my hair carefully to avoid some damage but it’s impossible to use a curling iron without damage so many that’s more important. Also would love to see if there is huge difference between the version (3 v 7 v 27)
I don’t understand how this works but it’s the best thing ever! I got straightener 27D and it’s pure magic, now I really wanna buy blow dryer ! I wish it wouldn’t be this expensive
I could absolutely see a small group of scientists having a bonkers theory of a technology to do ~whatever it is~ , working for years to develop it, realizing it actually does work, and instead of publishing a report on it that will be ridiculed, deciding to profit from it (with ridiculous prices). Patents and such aside, the reasoning for secrecy that they don’t want to be replicated is so fair - just look at bond treatment products now compared to a few years ago. If you’re sitting on something truly unique and effective, why risk it for the sake of transparency?
They are using psychology and placebo effect in their marketing: "we don't need people to but it. If you don't believe in it don't get it. It's for people who trust..." I call BS. I'm a scientist; if you develop a technology you are proud, you share it. Either by explain the process or by directing questions to the patent. They deserve cero dollars just for their marketing. I guess all publicity it's good for them.
LOVE you contents both here on instagram and youtube. Quick question. Out of the dryer and curling iron of the hairbeuron, which do you recommend more if you were to choose just one
That sounds like the Panasonic nanoe mineral technology where it draws moister from the air and puts it in The hair. Can you do a vs between those 2 products?
This line of products has been popular in Asia for years and many reviews are available in non-English languages. I’m so happy Abby is finally reviewing them and giving us her honest views because I swear by them…. but like… if the results speak for themselves, which they clearly do, it is not necessary to criticise the brand from this Anglo-centric angle.
So I have a question, what do you use to go from the just dried hair that looks like normal hair to me to the glossy shiny look your hair has when it's curled. There's marked difference and I don't remember you talking about a finishing. glossing product.
I’m just a regular Asian guy got his hair bleached and coloured literally every two months. However I got my Repronizer 7D and started using it twice a day along with my X Treatment professional shampoo, also from Japan, for almost a year. I feel like my hair is better than before. Literally no frizzy hair and minimal breakage. Fun fact, I got every Dyson hair dryer and used to using it daily before the 7D came in. I’d say the Dyson is an awesome styling tool while the Repronizer combined with the X Treatment is a great hair treatment system.
🤓 I doubt anyone will see this comment but for what it’s worth, I just need to put my thoughts to “paper”. I’m thinking about the bio-programming concept of drawing moisture endogenously (from inside your “body”/ surrounding cells.) We saw this theory with topically applied hyaluronic acid. When applied to the skin in a dry environment, the skin cells containing the HA are triggered to draw moisture from the surrounding cells and not (ideally) from the environment, thereby potentially causing dehydration of the skin (and not the intended plumping from environmental moisture). My thinking for the Reponizer is that it creates a “drying environment“ to the hair to trigger a response like for HA described. Considering that our head/ brain neural pathways of our scalp are not separated by a barrier, that any trigger to any area on the scalp could possibly cause a cascade of compensatory moisturising signals/messages/biochemical reactions (endogenous) all over the scalp to plump up the hair shaft and give the results customers experienced. Hence they (the agents/manufacturers) claim that doing a split test may not be anecdotally accurate as the competitor side is also benefiting from the “bio-programming”. Is this good in the long run? Could it cause a dry scalp if you do not regularly treat your scalp like Abbey does? Who knows! Thanks for the review Abbey! 🫶🏽✨
As someone who is known to spend more than I need to on things I was actually quite intrigued…until you got to the part where it needs to be used on product free hair. As a curly girl that’s a definitive no. Side note: I did just place my first Epres order yesterday because of you and I’d love to see a video on how you work it into your routine specifically with the OGX coconut oil. Love your videos!
And not adding a leave in conditioner and blow dry balm with heat protectant would likely end up doing more damge over time than the benefit of using this without product.
I want it. You know, over time my Dyson air straight has made my hair more glossy and straight, even on the days I don’t use it. I spent $600 on that. I’m definitely pondering purchasing. I’ll be watching your journey❤
The Dyson Air Straight was definately worth it for me. I hesitated to get it and thought I'd end up returning it, but I love it. I do better and have smoother results with less frizz if I dry to 75% first with a different dryer with an ionic feature (Harry Josh dryer, the Elchim Healthy ionic) than just using the Air Straight to rough dry first. It's pricey but for my problematic fine but coarse and frizzy hair, it nearly looks flat ironed just on the wet mode (and does look flat ironed if I go back and use the dry mode after when my hair is dry) and I just can't get that result with any air drying brush or other device (and it's so much easier than a flat iron). It may not be worth it as much to people who can get good results with less expensive devices and who have more skill with hair tools or easier to work with hair.
You make every subject 1000 times more interesting😊 I heard about this tool just from you and I am interested to know how it works as time goes by, cause I'm not going to spend this much money for it but I love your content what so ever and the passion you have on this subject.
I'd really like to see a side-by-side using a T3 dryer or another high-end dryer. I know you don't love the Dyson in the first place, so comparing it to a few more options would be interesting.
Thank you so much for being so thorough in your analysis. You made such great points for and against the product. I'm still against because of the sketchy marketing, and my history of being scammed in the name of beauty since I was a kid that frequently cried about my hair. One comment mentioned a concern for possible adverse side effects. I think their suggestion of sending a shaving of the product to a science materials lab is so good, especially if you plan to use it for a long time.
Abbey- This reminds me of another treatment that I have been made aware of very recently that I’m somewhat skeptical about… the infrared protein treatments? These are the ones where you apply a protein hair mask and then use a cold flat iron with an infrared light. It’s supposed to do something with the protein in the mask and somehow infuse it into the hair cuticle. Supposedly this is another “game changer” treatment. Have you tried this hair repair method? I’m wondering if it’s similar to what this technology is? Because if it’s legit, I can definitely see where people would think it might be worth the money. Last year I suffered severe and I mean SEVERE hair breakage near my roots and 90% of my hair broke off, over 14in of length lost. It went from being down to my bra strap to a pixie cut and was truly one of the most devastating things I’ve been through! So, researching hair repair has become like a second job to me and anything that could speed up the process would be tempting no matter the price tag; as stupid as that sounds. Which is probably what all the beauty companies bank on.
My initial thoughts when you were describing the science behind it transferring to the other part of your hair, was what if they are taking moisture from the air and putting that into the hair? That would theoretically affect the other side, by somehow affecting the ions on the atmosphere or even the humidity level to make the other half of the hair look better as well.
Also, I already spent $1000 on two hair tools from Dyson, why not on a hairdryer that actually works for my hair. The Dyson Airstrait dries out my hair way too much, so does the Dyson hairdryer.
@@carrives Maybe you need a leave in conditioner (Pureology's spray leave in is good) and blowout balm (Redken Frizz Dismiss or Big Blowout are good and have heat protectant) and to finish with a hair oil (Olaplex's oil or Moroccan oil are both good). If you're doing that, maybe the heat is too high or too many passes. I've done that myself on the Dyson Airwrap, holding a curl too long and it can get dry. On the Airstraight, I rough dry to 75% (prefer to use my Harry Josh Ionic for that), that gets it to where I only need two passes on the wet mode for each section, and if I need it super straight one pass when it's dry on the dry mode.
@@miagrace802 Thanks for the info! I'll give more of that a try after doing a no-heat reset! Good to know on number of passes and how you are mostly air drying first! I have wavy / curly, frizzy hair, as well. Thanks again :)
@@carrives You are so welcome! Abby Yung (here) has a video on the air-straight. If your hair is finer, Milabu (another TH-cam creator I love and recomend) shows it used as well and how many passes she uses. I tried it from towl dried wet hair, and drying 50%, then about 75% (what I usually do) first (with the air-straight and the Harry Josh dryer which I prefered due to the ion feature). I seemed to get about the same results and it was easier, with less passes needed when I did some rough drying first.
Interesting that they claim they don't want people to copy their technology because that is why there are pattent laws and registrations. If they have a patient, then no one can copy their design. They could, however, license the technology to other companies and make money that way as well. So their argument for being sketchy is also very sketchy and makes no sense as well.
Patents don't stop people from copying ... it only means the patent holder will win if they sue in court. Which assumes you can bring the copycat company into your court system ... try doing that with a shady company located in another country. I can understand why they might not want to file a patent ... but in that case, provide the customers with research-backed info we can trust.
I'm not sold on it because of their sketchy explanations but when and if they come off of their pedestal and lower their price, I won't be buying it, period lol
I’ve seen videos of people just leaving the hot curling iron on the hair for like 4+ minutes and supposedly ‘healing’ the hair and not damaging it at all. Could you do a test on some extensions (let’s not risk your hair 😅)? I don’t believe them!!
What about a Panasonic hair dryer with Nanoe? I'm from Thailand and a lot of beauty influencers swear by this dryer. Some even say it's improving the hair after long term use. The model is EH-NA89 and there's a skin mode where you can you use it to dry your skin care products. I'm really curious if this works.
I too got so lost in their site(s) and there was JUST NO actual explanation of these products. The “formula” had me laughing hysterically…last time I checked “beauty” wasn’t in the symbols. It felt like an bad MLM and this all turned me away. I’m getting emails asking to review them. I think I will just direct them over to you. Because I have wavy/curly hair I’d be very interested to see how the “dryer” works for curly hair, given that we don’t use blow dryers without diffusers…interested to see what would happen.
wait, would you mind telling us what temperature does it go up to? do the tools feel the same as normal curler/ straightener? smells like scam to me, maybe they use the ion tech...why don't they patent their technology?
Abbey never fails to impress us with her in depth and honest and knowledgeable reviews. I love this and so glad that you are doing the hard work (and shelling out the cash) for all of us so we don't have to!
Ohhh they are definitely trying to justify overcharging for this technology. My issue is that without a patent or research explaining their process for developing this, how can I know it's safe? If it's THAT revolutionary, I want to know there won't be long-term repercussions. Even if it's "just" a beauty tool, I want to know there won't be any wacky side effects over time.
I think the technology is very similar to Panasonic’s nanoe dryers. It pulls the moisture from the surrounding air to “condition?” your hair. I think you should look into it.
THANK YOU for this video!♥ I've been waiting for your opinion on these tools for so long,.. I'm so intrigued by this technology even if it sounds sooo shady. I live in Europe so I won't be able to try these tools in a short time, so I tried looking for them on Ebay and, surprisingly, I've seen many used tools being sold from Japan. I'm really wondering why, since, as it seems, they are so miraculous...
Do you use heat protectant/other leave ins before using the curling Iron? It says “Always use Hairbeauron on bare hair. Applying it to hair coated with coating agents or oil may damage the hair.” 🧐 It also says it heats to 140-180 degrees, I am scared to use a tool that hot on bare hair as cannot understand how it would not damage it. I also know you love your leave ins so wonder what your thoughts are on this?
I feel like every brand and hair care trend these days is a scam because they all promise great results. I have tried many things over the years, the trinity method from the blowout professor or oiling my scalp with rosemary oil and other natural oils. High-end hair tools and salon products, I also had a 2-3 year natural hair journey and only used products that were endorsed by the curly hair community. Nothing has helped my hair hair. I don't know what else I could do..
I worry so much about the long term consequences/effects of new products that make such bold claims without extensive scientific backing… Too many things are great at the start, and then you’ll find yourself bald in a year 😅😭 Maybe not that extreme, but…. you know ? 🙈 As someone with severe chronic medical illness who has lost so much of her hair- it sounds like a dream, but even if I had all the money in the world… I’d be very cautious…. ❤ As always, I love your reviews and videos, Abbey! Thank you for always debunking marketing and giving your honest opinion WITH research and science to back it! 💗
The marketing sounds like they don’t want the technology replicated, but it seems to deliver results. If I had the money to spare on such a thing I’d give it a try.
I’ve been intrigued by these products but also still skeptical. I would love if you could do a demo of the repronizer with a diffuser on someone. Thanks for this video, I’ve been waiting to hear your opinion😊
Thank you Abbey for sacrificing a lot of $$$$ for the purpose of showing us this too good to be true product, but I think any business models that has the 'we don't need anyone to buy it if you don't want it' plan is ridiculous. Then why put so much resources and technology into it, but screw the profit???? Nope. Bad business plan, bad strategy, and definitely not something I would buy, especially when we have so many other wonderful products out here that can do the same thing, a lot less of the price, and have better full disclosure.
I was initially skeptical about the Dyson when it came out, but boy what a difference. Dyson is 400, not 1020. Abbey your hair is in such amazing condition, how do you really know. Id like it to be tested on really damaged hair. Most people who spend that much on a hair dryer take care of there hair prior to that. That’s why most of us here are like well maybe? How much do we spend on hair care products yearly, more than 500, and that dryer says, no products needed. Who knows.
I saw this a year ago and have been WAITING for you to review it! All the comments from the brand about how it “works” seemed so sketchy but now I kinda want to try it
I’m crazy enough that I bought the hair dryer recently after watching some of your instagram posts. Was in the market for a new hair dryer and was either going to get a Dyson or major price difference this one. Used it for the first time this morning, I have highlights and was using an Elchim hairdryer…there is no question the Repronizer is leaps and bounds better. My hair was the softest it’s ever been after drying it. I know cost is massively different but dang this is a Very Nice hairdryer!!! So excited to see if it continues to make my hair feel better and better the longer I use it!
I have used products that made my hair supersoft which didnt work for me because when my hair is sleek and soft it will not hold a curl and I like it curly (bone straight naturally) I am so glad because I am the type of person that would be tempted and now I am not so thank you :)
Is the Elchim the Ionic one, the Healthy Ionic? That one is excellent. I did end up with a Harry Josh Ionic that I like even better. Have you compared it to or tried those?
@@miagrace802 yes, I had the Elchim 3900 Healthy Ionic, was not a bad dryer I had it for many years, light weight dried my hair fast and better than the ionic one I had prior. The Repronizer is just better and glad it is because I spent a small fortune on it.
@@marylou58pond72 Thanks! If it's better than the Elchim (which is good), then it's promising. I now like my Harry Josh dryer better than my Elchim. I thought my Elchim (Healthy Ionic) was better than my previous T3 Featherweight, which was better than the drugstore supposed Revlon dupe better than the cheapie drugstore ones I'd burn out. It's nice to find ones that are better than the previous one, and you at the time think you won't find one you like more until you do.
I’ve added a lot more blond to my hair recently and still using the Repronizer. My hair has started getting more frizzy when drying so not sure if it’s the high heat from the Repronizer or just that my hair is more bleached. I just bought the Harry Josh dryer because I remember you talking about liking it more than the Elchim healthy ionic. Gonna compare the Repronizer against the Harry Josh once it comes in the mail. The one downside that I’m currently thinking about the Repronizer is that there are only two heat settings: Hot and Cold. I’ll report back on my thoughts of comparing the Harry Josh and the Repronizer
Because I am having really good results with a number of the other products you have reviewed over the years, I am pretty happy with my hair so am not tempted to spend this kind of money. What concerns me here is that sometimes, things work well at the beginning but are actually damaging in the long run. So while you had an amazing first experience, I wonder if it will actually continue or if it will be another rice water? Without knowing the mechanisms it is hard to do research to make any sort of determination based on the science of it. Also, it is not that they share no information, but that they share totally goofy information!
I think I heard about this around the same time as you, and I just knew you’d get round to reviewing it at some point 😂. Unfortunately I am extremely interested, especially because I have quite fine hair which is very prone to breakage. So I will be purchasing either the flat iron or the curling iron because I already have the air wrap. The science is complete nonsense but idc if it works it works 😂😂
I just purchased their hairbeauron 4D plus flat iron, and so far I’m liking the results. I think what sets them apart is their superior ceramic coating, that’s the secret sauce that gives the hair treated with their hair dryer/flat iron/curling iron that smooth, shiny, moisturized feel and look. In the past I’ve used other flat irons like GHD platinum +, which was too hot and drying for my bleached platinum blonde hair; glampalm GP225 which was a step above and not as drying, but I wasn’t really satisfied with either devices. I’ll continue using the 4D plus styler and report back here. And who knows maybe I’ll upgrade to 27D plus in a year’s time 🤷🏼♀️
Girl, NO. No!!! Why would you do this to me??? The fact that you said, “I’m not going to lie, the first time I used this product my jaw it the floor.” IS GOING TO RUIN ME. It doesn’t matter anything else you say past this point, that is always going to stick in my head. 😭😭😭
The fact that they don't want their technology replicated (can't blame them) will only work so much. You KNOW someone is going to buy one (or all) of the products, take them apart, figure out what their 'secret sauce' is and make their own. And better yet, improve upon the technology and one-up them. It's only a matter of time... God love ya for spending that huge amt of $$$$!! We appreciate your dedication to your channel, your subscribers and... hair!! 💜
Is there any chance you could do a “test” eg where you try it on say 3 different age groups hair using it weekly for 4 or 8 weeks whilst the person uses their “usual” dryer inbetween? Then we could see if the age group of the user makes a difference (hair tends to become coarser and dryer the more mature the person becomes. By using it alternately with their “standard” hairdryer we’d be able to find out if it’s actually “changing” the hair on a more molecular level as opposed to just making the surface of the hair look good as a one off ( kind of like using a skin cream that actually improves the lower levels of skin as opposed to the Peter Thomas Roth skin cream that IMMEDIATELY tightens the skin totally eradicating wrinkles but it only works for 8 hrs and you can only wear mineral make up on top of it because any oil type of foundation would destroy the “mesh” properties that constrict to eradicate the wrinkle. Does that all make sense? Basically we could see if this is a “treatment” or just a surface cosmetic improvement that lasts until the next wash. I LOVE your videos by the way!! Your hard work and dedication REALLY shines through in every video so thank you xx
Hi, I have not heard of these devices. My question, would be how can this make your hair healthier? The product is too rich for my blood, so will not be purchasing. I might buy it if I hit the lottery jackpot and a few more reviews from you. Please keep us posted on these devices on how your and your sister’s results are, if you see a difference in the health of the hair.
Great video Abbey! So intrigued . . . looking forward to future videos of these tools. You mention how the curling iron gave you curls that lasted days. Would love a demonstration of you using the curling iron . . . please! 🙂
Love all your videos Abbey!!! You're definitely the reason why my hair gets complimented so much!! Since you're the only person I trust for hair can you please post a healthy scalp routine!!!!
You should buy a microscope next and like keep checking the strands of your hair or someone with really damaged hair and see if it looks any different after using for awhile🕵️♀️🕵️♀️
Your pictures of which was used on which side is very confusing as you show us drying your right side with the repronizer, but label that side as the dyson side later.
It remindes me a lot of Panasonic EH-NA0J nanone™ moisture+. Its also supposed to draw moisture to your hair and you can even use the Panasonic to moisture your skin. I had the same feeling like you describe about repronizer when I use the Panasonic one. Have you also tried this hairdryer? I would be interested how they perform againts each other but can't afford the repronizer xdd
Also the drawing sheet of the patent. patentimages.storage.googleapis.com/66/0f/82/bbdc4c2c8309f8/USD920575.pdf 😅
1000% agree. This just feels like an updated version of those 2000s ‘keratin therapy’ hair dryers that were supposed to magically smooth out your hair. But with a lot weirder marketing around it.
So valid!!
I am screaming at this “equation” LMFAO!!!
Hahahaha
It’s so insane that I thought it was an April Fool’s joke 😂
OMG Same!!! And I have a math degree
The same people who write the assembly instructions for IKEA wrote that equation
the technology of this sounds so sketchy, “takes the moisture from your body and puts it in your hair” 💀😭, this reminds me of that sunscreen brand that was just gold leaf and water and you spray it in your mouth and it protects you from the sun by raising your “vibrations”
Stopppp 😂
Who tf comes up with this shit 💀💀
Stoppp 🤣 I absolutely missed that “sunscreen” but the fact that anyone on this planet fell for that is so depressing lol

Also we know that moisture is damaging to hair???
Hahahahaha
@@caitroseco6752 they're attempting hydration as opposed to moisturizing. The hair is partially made up of water and you will actually notice a decline in your hair health if you are dehydrated.
Which brings up another question.
Would you need to increase your water intake while using this? If it's taking water from your body it would make sense that you would need to replace said water.
@@emberdiosaall good questions. I think the answer is…it doesn’t matter because it doesn’t work 😂😂😂😂
Your body will be dehydrated and your skin will age faster, but your hair will be gorgeous, darling! 😂
OH I didn’t even think about that!!

Validdddd
Or someone else already makes, such as ionic and they don't want to call it that to make it unique vs something that other brands have.
As soon as Abbey's video finished, I wanted to write your exact same words... Reverse-engineering... you don'y even need to give details... it's enough to have a good team get their hands on the product and, with time, they'll duplicate it! 👍
Exactly! We can send the device to a materials engineering firm and they would reverse engineer it in a heartbeat! LOOL
I second this video request!
Keratin itself doesn't damage the hair the issue it's that they need a lot of heat to "attach" the keratin to your hair (if I remember correctly the last time I did a keratin treatment it was like 5 to 7 passes of a flat iron per section) so when the keratin wears off u have Heat damage
I want to add up
Its the heat thats damaging your curl pattern, not the keratin itself. Also keratin is supposed to last about 3 to 6 months depending on the treatment you got.
I honestly cannot even think of a theoretical mechanism that would make this work. But I’m so intrigued
Right 👀
It's called "imagination"
It’s called grifting
The creator of the repronizer worked at Panasonic on their Nanoe and Ionity lines before coming out with these products. Please get the Panasonic products for comparison.
Maybe it's ionic like the Harry Josh and Elchim health ionic?
Could very well be true!
Dyson does not cause damage. The stupid operator does.
We need more before and after comparison!! Maybe don’t compare with a dyson but with a 30$ hair dryer. Because the Dyson is already higher quality!
My regular hairdryer gives me a smoother finish then the any of the Dyson styling tools. But I agree I wish this was compared with a regular blow dryer.
She must compare the new one with the highest quality so to know is the new one is truly promising or not
Can’t wait to see your final review on this. Thank you so much for your work
Of course! ❤
Abbey could you do an update on the repronizer, I would like to know how it works after using it for a long period of time
One of your best ever videos Abbey. Absolutely love your passion, enthusiasm, humour and scepticism!
Thank you! xx
It is as simple as opening one of the dryers and looking what’s inside by someone that understand this type of machines.
Omg what a great idea !! I would love to see her do that. Maybe buy one of the “cheap” ones and take it to an expert
I just had Albage lightening by this company and she uses the Repronizer during and after the treatment. Umm WOAH?? My hair has never looked and felt so good. Critics be darned. I’m buying one on layaway!!
I’m so intrigued by Albage! Are you happy with the color results from it?
@@reneemarchitto6463 I am. I had virgin light brown hair with red undertones, and it lifted fast and well. I had her do mostly the underneath and face framing, in case I didn’t like it. I will be back for an all over tint in a few weeks. Time will tell if Albage is a good fit for my fine, damage-prone hair, but so far, so good. The Repronizer is like magic though. I totally get the skepticism but dang, it’s awesome
@@allisont.2678 that’s awesome to hear! It seems like it lifts slower depending on your hair but if there’s no damage then that’s worth the time.
Ohhh good speculation I could certainly see that being true! And beyond fair I $1K is crazy
I’m 02:19 in and my head is about to explode (not in a good way). Sincerely, a scientist
😂 I still feel this way
I feel the same way! :V
How about finding someone with damaged hair and let them not change anything except using these tools and check in with them like 1 a month?
I volunteer as tribute 😂
Thats most likely going to be me. I am nervs about these possible after effects 😂my hair is so fuct rn so I'm willing to try it but fk 1200 for a straightener ugh I can afford it I just don't want to but girl who did my hair today used it and it's looking killer now than this AM
I'm probably wrong but I'll have a stab at it:
My guess is it's some kind of dehumidifier, drying your hair while also sucking the moisture out of the air around you so that the hair doesn't frizz up.
Possibly also has some sort of 'ionic' technology like those hair dryers that are meant to have a filter inside that blows out tiny particles of sealant to smooth the hair, and something about negatively charged ions? I'll go home 😂
Ohhhh dehumidifier is such a good theory. Basically the opposite of what they’re claiming 😂
I'm thinking ionic too. Seeing how ionic hot tools, hot brushes and dryers really make a difference on my frizzy hair. I'm wondering if it's ionic like say the Harry Josh (my fave) or Elchim Healthy Ionic (second fave).
Go home
My eyes rolled into the back of my head. Their marketing is also gross - become more beautiful? Japanese words to add ambiguity and mystery? Nah. I'll stick to bond builders and heatless techniques, thanks!
😂 so fair!!
That’s what I do to. Completely air dry, and just use weekly bond builder and my hair feels amazing
Whhhatttt I haven’t heard of that yet!
I'll be so very interested in how these tools work on your hair in the long run.
hmm sounds sketch indeed. Will you please continue to use them to see if there actually is a difference?
Yes!!
I think it would still be a good idea to try it on damaged extensions. You really can't trust what the brand says
Valid - I believe some stylists have tried this & it didn’t work
Thanks Abbey, I love your honesty. I am intrigued for sure (my hair is BAD) I did notice one thing on the website, it is the first full sized ‘dryer’ I have seen that has universal voltage for worldwide use. I am dying to see your long term review because honestly I am considering it seriously. Thanks again.
Will keep you posted!! xx
I’ll wait till Shark makes a dupe for it 🎉
I wish you had compared this to a regular blow dryer and not a Dyson.
Thank you!

Happy Easter!! Good idea I’ll add this to my list
Yep i agree, ionic hair dryers and straighteners were around a lot early 2000s
@@samson_93They make a bigger difference than you’d think too. My super old conair died recently and I decided to upgrade to one without the ions. I hated it. My hair was poofy. Ended up finding my old one at a thrift store.

@@LLL-tr2dy 2nd this, my hair is frizzy with any dryer that's not ionic.
It looks cool but what are the differences between all the other blow dryers they sell ? They have the 7D, 4D, and 3D.
i've been obsessed with trying to understand the technology of this product for a while. this company has insane advertisements, one where they hold the straightener on a girl's hair for 1 hour and the "scientists" in the room are like "her face is becoming more beautiful!" they also make fake accounts on reddit and write "skeptical" reviews where people love the product but dont understand it. i refuse to use something that might be like spitting keratin or some chemical onto my hair without telling me, but i will never be satisfied until someone breaks it open and identifies the components 😭
That's insane 😂😂😂 If I heard that about their face changing I would lmbo. No way I could hold it back.
They sound like Hermes for handbags approach. Sketchy matketing but works!
Ohhhh yes
I would love to know as you keep using the tools which one to get if you could only get one, the hairdryer or the curling iron. For example- at first it would seem to for sure get the hairdryer but …I can probably dry my hair carefully to avoid some damage but it’s impossible to use a curling iron without damage so many that’s more important. Also would love to see if there is huge difference between the version (3 v 7 v 27)
$1K for a HAIR DRYER is in and of itself the biggest scam of all time.
Great points!!
YES! I have that hair dryer SPECIFICALLY" for those benefits. Would love a comparison 🤗🤗
There's marked difference and I don't remember you talking about a finishing. glossing product.
would love to know also
I’m just a regular Asian guy got his hair bleached and coloured literally every two months.
I hear you!! Definitely something I understand people wanting to invest in
The Dyson Air Straight was definately worth it for me.
Thank you so much! 😊❤
Of course!! And yes I definitely need to think about next steps 👀
Abbey-
This reminds me of another treatment that I have been made aware of very recently that I’m somewhat skeptical about… the infrared protein treatments?
Possibly their technology isn’t patentable (already exists) or violates another active patent.
*Temperature and Air Flow* . I would be curious to know the air temperature and flow speed compared to other high end dyers and tools.
How often do you get your hair trimmed? How much do you trim when you do that?
When will we get an update on the bond repair extensions?
Thanks!
im sooooo intrigued!!!! Im so excited for all the updates. this seems cool.
wait, would you mind telling us what temperature does it go up to? do the tools feel the same as normal curler/ straightener? smells like scam to me, maybe they use the ion tech...why don't they patent their technology?
Abbey never fails to impress us with her in depth and honest and knowledgeable reviews. I love this and so glad that you are doing the hard work (and shelling out the cash) for all of us so we don't have to!
Thank you so much 🥰
Ohhh they are definitely trying to justify overcharging for this technology. My issue is that without a patent or research explaining their process for developing this, how can I know it's safe? If it's THAT revolutionary, I want to know there won't be long-term repercussions. Even if it's "just" a beauty tool, I want to know there won't be any wacky side effects over time.
I'd be interested in seeing if there's much difference between the cheapest & most expensive models.
Sketchy is an understatement
Do you use heat protectant/other leave ins before using the curling Iron?
It says “Always use Hairbeauron on bare hair. Applying it to hair coated with coating agents or oil may damage the hair.” 🧐
It also says it heats to 140-180 degrees, I am scared to use a tool that hot on bare hair as cannot understand how it would not damage it.
Speaking of keratin treatments can you do a video on them pls. I got one and I noticed more split ends
I worry so much about the long term consequences/effects of new products that make such bold claims without extensive scientific backing…
Too many things are great at the start, and then you’ll find yourself bald in a year 😅😭 Maybe not that extreme, but…. you know ?
🙈
As someone with severe chronic medical illness who has lost so much of her hair- it sounds like a dream, but even if I had all the money in the world… I’d be very cautious….
❤
As always, I love your reviews and videos, Abbey!
Who knows.
Someone will eventually reverse engineer it. Unless magic is involved, then it would get more complicated.
😂😂
Exactly
And who knows maybe I’ll upgrade to 27D plus in a year’s time 🤷🏼♀️
I have the 7D dryer and flat iron, and I love them. Been using them since last July. Saving for the Curling Iron.
I wonder if this is using a similar technology as the Panasonic nanoe dryers? I saw Michelle from Lab Muffin advertise it a while back!
Would love to see the Repronizer used on kinky / 4C / 8 pt. hair 🙏🏾🙏🏾
Girl, NO.
Would love a demonstration of you using the curling iron . . . please! 🙂
It’s on my instagram reels / tik tok! ❤
Love all your videos Abbey!!! You're definitely the reason why my hair gets complimented so much!! Since you're the only person I trust for hair can you please post a healthy scalp routine!!!!
Same... ❤
You should buy a microscope next and like keep checking the strands of your hair or someone with really damaged hair and see if it looks any different after using for awhile🕵️♀️🕵️♀️
Omg brb putting hair strands in a ziploc lol
Your pictures of which was used on which side is very confusing as you show us drying your right side with the repronizer, but label that side as the dyson side later.
It remindes me a lot of Panasonic EH-NA0J nanone™ moisture+. Its also supposed to draw moisture to your hair and you can even use the Panasonic to moisture your skin.
I had the same feeling like you describe about repronizer when I use the Panasonic one.
Have you also tried this hairdryer? I would be interested how they perform againts each other but can't afford the repronizer xdd
