I just performed my first self injection. (At least, I think I did.) It took me a couple of days to actually get around to doing it, and this video, which I watched at least 3 times before inserting the needle into my body, was quite helpful.
I chose my right thigh as my injection site as it just seemed easier, and for some reason, I thought it would be less painful. What surprised me, however, was that I scarcely felt a thing! There was so little pain, not even at the level of a mosquito bite, that I wondered - and to a degree still wonder - whether I had successfully injected myself or not. I had held the button down for 2 counts to six, a tiny drop showed at the end of the needle when I withdrew it, and the dial had reset to zero. So, I suppose it must have worked.
I definitely expected more pain: in the range of what one experiences with the taking blood for a test or a hypodermic injection with a syringe. Certainly, both are easy to bear when it's a nurse holding the needle, but you definitely feel it. The proof of whether I was successful or not will be in the pudding over the next several days, no pun intended.
Update, 2nd injection:
I have noticed a lessening of my appetite over the preceding week, particularly in respect to cravings / emotionsl / compulsive eating. After putting off the injection until the last minute, again I hardly felt anything upon injecting the needle into my upper thigh. After holding the button down about 10 seconds the dial snapped back to zero, and a small bubble of blood, about 2mm in diameter, appeared at the injection site. Done.

Hey, great question.
When you receive your medication you should refrigerate it as soon as possible prior to opening it. After opening and taking your first dose it can be kept in the fridge or at room temperature for up to six weeks.

Hi, yes its normal every time you use the medication to see a drop of liquid at the end of the needle this just confirms that the pen is correclty 'primed' and ready to inject

The pen resets back to '0' after each use. You don't have to do anything in particular before your next dose, just dial it back up to your dose and inject as before

If you only need to wind the pen to the 2 dots on the first dose, how do you use it for the second dose?

Hey! Great question.
From the second dose you just go straight to the step of dialing up to the dose required and administering the pen as normal, you would ignore the 2 dots.

I injected two times the second time because it still showed liquid on pen

I would consult your prescriber as you should not be injecting two times, there will always be liquid in the pen until the whole pen has been used up completely, so you may have incorrectly taken two doses.
