    For preparing sambar powder if we add yellowgram and fry along with other ingredients it gives a different taste from that of the original one. As we add cooked raw yellowgram (not fried) it is better not to add yellowgram in the powder.
    First Fenguric seeds will be fried till they turn brown and the other ingredients will be added latter along with a pinch of asofotedia and dried shredded coconut to enhance the aroma and taste to. Sambar. Of course there is no thumb rule for preparing the powder.
