- Continuing the trend of finding out what happened to the (former) Shichibukai, this week the focus is on Hancock. But it looks like some unexpected guests of all shapes and sizes have crashed the party.

The katakuri thing was another slap on the face from Oda to the reader's intelligence.
Whats the point of future sight if he cant detect Caesar about to interfere? And its not like Katakuri is only aware of whats going to happen to him, we have seen him predicting that "Luffy" would break Mother Caramel's portrait, which was totally unrelated to his own fight at the Tea Party. If he cant see that Caesar is going to attack him, and he cant see in the future that Sanji is going to dodge his bullet, then Future sight is one of the most useless haki abilities, technically speaking.
Regular Observation does give you what future sight allegedly does to you. If you are going to recieve an attack, you are able to predict it and act acordingly. (Im gonna make up numbers here, this was never explained as far as Im aware, but its the only logical way I can find to this) Maybe you can see like 7 or 10 seconds with future sight, while you only see 3 or 4 seconds ahead with Regular observation, but at the end of everything, both someone with future sight and someone with regular observation end up seeing the last 3 - 4 seconds, with them both on even ground. Yeah you might be able to get knowledge in a chaotic scenario involving lots of people and many situations happening around you, but even then, Katakuri took many L's from relying on that future sight thing.
Yeah, you can argue that Katakuri can see the future if he is too focused in one fight, like it happened with Luffy. But that was LUFFY, an almost equal to him, not some Vinsmoke losers who got taken out by candy machine guns. What? Are the Vinsmokes Yonkou level now too?
Future sight haki just doesnt make sense.
Now Caesar. I guess this is a more personal opinion, but you cant make someone like Caesar a clown (pun intended) and have Luffy outsmart him in Punk Hazard and then make his BS actually work here. If this is something that Caesar can do, that even Katakuri cant foresee, then why didnt he do it before?! Hell, while Katakuri and Oven were hallucinating, Caesar couldve gone into his gas form, enter their nostrils and then burn or tears their lungs, take the oxygen away from their brains, spawn mustard gas or MH5 gas or Smiley gas inside of them or give them cancer, idk, whatever!
Thats ultra broken. Like Caesar can even take on Kaido, if all it takes its just sneak up on someone and it doesnt even matter that they have future sight, let alone regular observation. The whole thing with Ryou Haki was that they only could damage Kaido by hitting him from the inside, and here we have someone that can turn into gas and spawn any sort of gaseous chemical compound by just willling it into existance. He can take away shit to, like whats stopping Caesar form changing the atmospheric pressure inside of you and make you collapse into yourself? The only one I can think of that might have a slight chance to stop this is Law, because not even robots are safe since Caesar can just create explosions inside of you.
Not satisfied with this cover story. This couldve been told in 5 pages not in 15. And even then, the excuses are poor and contrived.
Valid points, you might argue that over confidence may have played a factor into it. I'll agree that this cover story is dragging a bit.
I need to see that buggy clone and have them fight and both run away in fear of the other.
