Wouldn't survive today's weak social standards. Everyone gets offended over the stupidest sh!t. Comedians walk through minefields just to get through their set. Society is too soft.
I'm a fan of this type of content! Ed is a long time favorite of mine. He is a true legend IMO! I believe he gets recognized as Bundy due to the very many seasons he proteaited the character in every conceivable situation! Personally I enjoy all of his performances that I've seen
Best show ever Rich!!!! When Ed was doing those lines I was doing them with him. I recorded every Married With Children onto VHS. Crappy quality but the sound was good and I was so happy to get every season on DVD and get the lost episode!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!! Love ED. He's my number one followed only by the late and great John Candy.
By far Ed's best line in Married With Children. (Al's sitting on shoe bench with head in hands at store mean lady comes in) (Tapping Al on shoulder) Mean Lady: Hey you I need a pair of shoes!! (Ed takes head out of hands and points) AL : THE BLACKSMITH'S NEXT DOOR!!! LoL Classic!! Love Ed..
"A woman Godzilla'd into the shoe store today and asked what size would fit her feet. I suggested Wyoming. Now I don't know when they started letting women carry chainsaws." From what I remember, he gets interrupted and doesn't finish what he was saying, but that one was my favorite.
Eisen: “He’s a real S.O.B.” O’Neill: “I never met him.” He could have said any number of disparaging things about Sterling but he passes. O’Neill is a class act.
Great interview! He did another really good interview on Julian Edelman’s Podcast where he dives intro his Football days, great stories and sharp memory.
The creators of married with children had a whole lot to do with it. Moye, still living btw, wrote a great number of episodes for Lear so we know gold! They deserve the credit
Ed is an Icon. Al Bundy is one of my top 10 Sitcom characters of all time. And in some ways we all become a bit Bundy as we age. No way around it. Shame he and the actress who plays Marcy Darcy were never able to bury the hatchet. They played off each other perfectly and in an ironic way fits that they couldn't get along.
I need to read the descriptions more. This whole interview I thought he was playing Rod Sterling...the Twilight Zone dude. No wonder I was confused the whole damn time.
Man that was a great interview! I love when guests are comfortable and actually want to be there. Now I’m going to do some digging and start binging “Married With Children”. Fyi, I loved me some Peg. I always found her sexy, still do!
Love Ed! Always a performance that gets your attention. I hope plays on more than HULU. Wife and I are watching Modern Family for second time. In middle of 2nd season laugh out loud every episode a few times. Can’t say that about many shows.
He gives a 70% effort? So, all this time he's been 'phoning it in' as they say! Ed O'Neill is the best! And, (in my best Groucho Marx, with eyebrows moving up and down) that Sophia V is ok too!!
I think he meant it takes minimal effort bc hes done similar roles... when you do someone so far removed from anyone you are or know, it takes way more for an actor to prepare. He has the tools but hasnt used the dramatic ones for a long time.
So what I REALLY want to know. Were his one liners ab libed? Did he randomly pop the zingers or was it all scripted? Assume scripted by the writers but curious, or if he had any input on the lines with his dry sarcasm if it was all scripted?
Always up for an Ed O’Neill interview.
Ed O’Neill is such a great storyteller and an amazing actor.❤
Anytime a American Male scores 4 touchdowns in one game you better give him the damn role 💯
STOP doing LUDES
Red Grange 🏈 😆🤣🤣
No Double Dutch Bus 🚎 Tour! 😮🤣🤣
Polk High!!!
Mr.O’Neil is truly one of a kind
Love when you have Ed on. It’s like listening to your grandfather tell stories…awesome!
Tell me sitting down with Ed O’Neal over a couple beers wouldn’t be the coolest.
…and a Cobb Salad.
@@ErnwaldoWell played! 😅
He’s a MUCH better actor than a lot of people think. He is a very good dramatic actor actually
He was great in ford fairlane
My favorite Al Bundy line was his response to being protested. "1,2,3,4, you're gonna fall through the floor."
As I was reading your post, I could actually see Al saying that to several, uh, large women. lol
And? STOP doing crack
My favorite Al Bundy line is "Let's Rock!"
Followed by
"Pretty women make us buy beer....ugly women make us drink beer"
"did you miss me Al' - with every bullet so far
1,2,4,3 give the ball to al bundy
"Married with Grandchildren"... We need this!
No, what you NEED is to STOP smoking crack and doing LUDES
Yessss

*These Days: It could only be done as an animation on Netflix like Bill Burr's **_F is for Family._* 🤔
You a genius dun…

Ed O’Neill is absolutely multi-faceted and a tremendous actor. He makes this show so great. Love him in everything.

Hahaha..I remember the episode! 😂
Only person to win an Emmy in two separate TV comedies! Legend!
Julia Louis-Dreyfus has won in three separate shows.
He never won for either...and wasn't nominated for married
Now Everytime I see 👀 or Hear of a Cobb Salad 🥗 I'll remember Ed O'Neal! 🤔😁
A living legend
This dude was quite the high school football player as well! So much people don't know about Ed.
4 touchdowns
Polk high all day
He actually was. Had a tryout with the Pittsburgh stealers if you can believe that.
We from the same area. He went to Ursuline 💪🏾
Ed is such a talent, wonderful and VERY underrated actor and natural comedian.
great interview!

One of the greatest Father roles on a sitcom ever. 🤣😂
Always a great guest!
I've heard him tell the Philly story before. Great interview as always.
He told it on this show before. 😂
Anyone remember seeing Ed in the first regular episode of MIAMI VICE?
Me too. My Mom watched that show and I watched that episode when Ed was on it. If I remember right he played a crooked cop.
If you like this, I highly recommend his Marc Marcon interview! so good.
Loved Al Bundy and all the seasons from the Arabia ❤
Great interview!
He did another really good interview on Julian Edelman’s Podcast where he dives intro his Football days, great stories and sharp memory.
Ed is your best guest. Super interesting, talented, funny and class.
Dear Rich Eisen Show: thanks for the details in the chiron as the show continues!
Love his interviews. Best sitcom ever created
The Steelers knew that he scored four touchdowns in one game, right? I can't believe they cut him...
The creators of married with children had a whole lot to do with it. Moye, still living btw, wrote a great number of episodes for Lear so we know gold! They deserve the credit
For the luv of god, just bring back this show!! NETFLIX, HULU...PRIME...ANYBODY!!! I am sure everyone would love to see grandfather AL.
I LOVE Ed O'Neill stories! Nice job Rich!
"You, you, you, are a Chicken!" 😂😂😂
I could watch Ed talking all day long.
Polk High legend!
"Married with Grandchildren". Let's see it!
Please Lord, let this happen. I'd love to see the whole cast back for an encore...
NEVER gonna happen

It'd be too PC. Plus Christina unfortunately has MS
One if the best interviews ive seen that was awesome
“The Apple” had potential but it should have been on cable like “The Commish”. It wasnt a good fit for a family friendly network like ABC
Was sad they didn’t ask the question about him signing the contract to play Al Bundy that the other actor from Modern Family told them to ask him.
4 touchdowns in 1 game still a record at polk high
I grew up on Married with Children, love Dutch and Little Giants and I love Modern Family. Big time Ed O'Neill fan.
Ed O'Neill always tells a great story. I miss the days when people weren't so sensitive About what we watch on TV .
DUTCH is a good movie. Love Ed O'Neill he's one of the good guys.
Should have won an Emmy with Married with Children, yet Rosanne
Ed is an Icon. Al Bundy is one of my top 10 Sitcom characters of all time. And in some ways we all become a bit Bundy as we age. No way around it.
Shame he and the actress who plays Marcy Darcy were never able to bury the hatchet. They played off each other perfectly and in an ironic way fits that they couldn't get along.
And she wrote a lot of the jokes Al would use on herself.
My wife used to rail on me for watching Married, then she’d sit down and howl with laughter.
I need to read the descriptions more. This whole interview I thought he was playing Rod Sterling...the Twilight Zone dude. No wonder I was confused the whole damn time.
Serling, Sterling… confusion is understandable.
A legend!
Your team probably won’t see this but this video and another I clicked on today has a high pitched hum throughout.
@27:26 “It’s so wrong but it’s funny, right?” 😂
Much West Michigan Love!
Crazy to think he could choke out most people he got his hands on
Ed is such a cool dude. He's from Youngstown Ohio. What a great storyteller. He tells it like a regular guy.

Thats Reverend Al. When he opens his mouth, we shut up and listen. "I HAVE SINNED!!!"
I ordered a meatball sub, extra ball...
ABSOLUTE LEGEND...AL BANDY WE MISS YOU....WE MISS MARRIED WITH CHILDREN.
Absolute legend. Thank you. Al was my hero...i lived that life. Loved he acknowledged it. So cool. Best non football segment ever. LEGEND!!!!
Married with Children would be canceled in its first season if it aired today.
Ed O'Neil just might be Rich's favorite guest.
Can you blame him?
Dude has an incredible wealth of stories, tells them well, is polite and seems extremely enjoyable to hang out with.
Love Ed O’Neil. Legend!!
Modern Family like The Office will be awesome for eternity!
Others, having seen the series, questioned whether Donald Sterling used to keep his hands inside his waistband so much?
I would love to have a conversation with this man
That was awesome
Ed o'neill the goat! Al Bundy!!! LETS ROCK!
It’s the owner of Stan Mikita's Donuts 🍩🏒
ALL HAIL KING AL BUNDY!!!
Are those the Star Trek Transporters in the back
I really enjoyed his role of Sgt.Joe Friday in the 2003 reboot of Dragnet.
One of my favorite actors

I still loved Ed as Dutch.
Ed O'Neill is the man
I think that dream thing is something that young promising athletes have when they don't make it as far as they think they could've
Wish we could've got a Milch story outta Ed
I cannot imagine Craig T. Nelson on Modern Family. Thank god he passed.
“No ma’am”
Dutch is a great movie

He's told the Eagles part of the story several times over the years. But, he's old. It happens. I'm a big fan.
The great Ed O’Neil !
Love Ed O'Neill
Twice in one day, nice Ed was on Pat McAfee this afternoon, Ted Bundy lives on forever as will Ed O'Neill. Rich scores a Modern Family.

Al Bundy is a man of honor ! He has a shitty job but he does it . He has a hous , with family and he does all for protecting her.
It’s so horrible what happened to Christina applegate
Hi Ed, yr the dude dude. So nice yr just like us.

30:23; Farley has been dead for 27 years and he’s still making me laugh
I get the whole stroking the guest thing but Ed looks nothing like Sterling...
