    I couldn't believe that there's a city in Nigeria other than Lagos and Abuja with these much paved roads, talkless of its cleanliness. However, the open drainages does deface the road to some extent. I wonder how long it took to develop these roads and wether they were mostly done during Akpabio's administration.
    Unfortunately, these substandard vehicles called tricycle have also infested the roads in the city. Although they're not creating as much menace as in the so called capital city, Abuja.
    It's a city worth exploring for relocation. The question is are there enough supermarkets and parks in the sorrounding areas of these Estates and what is buying a house, land and even renting like compared to Abuja?
    Thanks for the video

      Most of the road construction and redesigning of Uyo started in 1999 during Victor Attah govt. Successive government have kept the same momentum.The goodnew is paved roads is extended beyond the capital city to villages & other cities,you can actually live in Ikot ekpene, Abak or as far as onna & still connect uyo within an hour drive. Property are cheap compared to Abuja.

    Nice Vid Bigwillzzz! This is pure nolstagia for me and brings back fond memories. Born somewhere in the diaspora, spent part of my childhood growing up in Ewet housing my former stomping ground but being away for 20 plus yrs now. Ewet housing is coveted compared to the much bigger and newer estates. Your'e right, it is more "vibey" cos my folks have a house in Shelter Afrique and it is a different feel there. Unlike Abuja and Lagos, security is not a major issue so no "entry or exit gates" Uyo is such a safe and community orientated place. Obviously more older houses here also. Noticed you only did a little tour, still more to see and you drove past former AVM Eduoks house in F'Line which at one point was the biggest house in the estate. Not any more. Keep it up!

    Nigerians should learn how to refurbished their homes to give value

    • @aframaco9491
      @aframaco9491 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s alien to our “culture”!
      Nigerians don’t have the culture of buying and selling property!
      They mostly buy land and build an “forever after” house for themselves and their family.
      At a stretch, they might build a separate block of flats, or what we call “face me, I face you” dwellings solely for renting !!

    • @NymaMargaret

      @@aframaco9491 we're in desperate need of it seeing how quickly our old cities/properties lost value.

      Who cares about what other popples houses look like. It's the public road that matters. If the roads are fully developed, that itself is the beauty of the city. The houses in most European capitals are centuries old but the roads are perfect.
