It is not exactly a neighborhood in the video this is downtown the capital of Tunis…also if I may add info’s to the guide with some details of the filmed places: The building seen from the hotel room is the “the cultural city” and it is under construction. The place with the clock tour is called “place 14 janvier” at the end of the main street called “Habib Bourguiba Avenue”, and it witnessed the most important demonstrations of the Tunisian revolution. The statute at the end of the street in front of the church and the French embassy from the other side is of “Ibn Khaldoun” an Arab Muslim historian born in Tunis. At the end of the walk through the medina the buildings filmed are a number of ministries; of finance, the government’s presidency and the one where the soldiers are raising the Tunisian flag is the municipality of Tunis. The beautiful yellow door filmed is a traditional house, a unique piece of architecture turned by its owner to one of the best Tunisian restaurants “Dar el Jeld” that serves Tunisian authentic meals. The “Amen bank” means the safety bank… the bar with the view at the roof of the International al Hana hotel is called “the Jamaica”.
