im 6'4 and i loved the room in my 2011 toyota avalon. I also reccomend the 370z and hyundai genesis coupe if you want some more sportier versions, i traded my avalon in for the Z and i fit fine. it takes a minute or two to get that car seat adjusted right but once you do its great
Tommy V gas guzzling trucks are such a bad idea they need like 60 bucks for a full tank of gas and it only last like 3-4 days it's a joke. While those compacts and sub compacts only need like 25 bucks and it last the whole week.

Sports car, by definition, don't have back seats. What, are you going racing with the pit crew back there, no! Sports cars have a seat for the driver, and some have a seat for the navigator/mechanic.

I'm 6'5" slim, with long legs like this guy. I have a 36" inseam. I used to have a 2013 mustang and also tooled around in a 2018 and found they had a lot of leg and head room inside. I had to put the seat down all the way, but they fit me better then any other GT/sports car. Also the visibility was excellent from most angles. It's a very good car for tall people.
I too suffer the affliction of being too tall (and round) and surprised the Porsche 911 was acceptable for the taller driver! The Type F also was surprising to me. I think I'd really enjoy the V.W. beetle convertible as my car!

Clayton Cortina Actually I have a 2015 mustang and leather seats in the rear are pretty good!! If you're tall, don't even think about it. I found that as long as you're under 6 feet (or are 6 feet) then you can fit comfortably. Leg room is a compromise, but what can you expect? If you wanted a party bus you should have bought a van, not a muscle car. Of course the hardest part is getting in and out, but you can move the seats all the way up and it isn't that difficult: you just gotta go straight into the back head first and THEN turn around to sit down.
back seats in my Mustang are VERY useful because they are there. Our other car is a family car so we use that when we go as a family, the Mustang is for me going to work primarily. However, in a pinch when I have to go pick up a kid or two I can do it. If it were a Corvette this would not be a possibility. The back seats make a Mustang ownable to me.
I used to drive an E46. To be comfortable, I had to lean the seat all the way back. No one could sit behind me at any time, and I’m two inches shorter than your dad.
As another freak at 6"5' I'm telling you, you forgot about the most important criteria: visibility. It can be pretty dangerous when we can't see what's going on properly because our heads are much higher than what the designers had in mind.
I have to admit, at 6'9" and 260lbs; I've definitely imagined owning, let alone driving a sports car. Sadly for me, that concept is Considerably Situational. I've sat in the drivers seat of later model Mustang, Corvette, Camaro, Porsche, and even Ferraris. Also more current models as well. None gave me the ability to enjoy sitting in them without smashing my knees, or having b to tilt my head. Now... A classic, super charged ,1971 Chevelle; midnight blue with big tiers on the back... was Explicitly different. Big body, low Position seats, gave me not only the ability to drive comfortably... But a passenger could sit behind me while in it !! If the car advertises to fit more then 4 grown adults, find a friend 6'5" or taller. Put it to the test!
Im going to expand on this. Im 6ft 4. First off, short people will tell you to get trucks or SUV's because they have no fucking idea what its like to actually be tall. So heres some real world for tall peeps: 1. Not every car will fit everyone the same size. It drastically matters if you have a long torso, or longer legs. 6ft 4 can have one longer then the other, this will make a huge difference. Longer legs = needs lower sitting seats. Longer Torso = less head room, might need to avoid sun roofs. 2. Lower seats = more leg room. 3. SUV's and Trucks have raised seats that dont sit low or bucket. I hate them, and will never own a truck or SUV again for this reason. Distance to the pedals is horribly close and uncomfortable for us long leg type. 4. Ive found for me (long legs) coupes work well. Mainly because the B pillar is pulled further back. 5. Heres some cars I fit great in: VW Golf GTI, Hyundai Genesis Coupe (The higher trim level lets you lower the seat), Mustang, Camaro, Nissan Maxima, Mazda 3 and 6.
Big FING Box 6'4" so damn lucky. I drive yard trucks at work....being big is clearly advantageous even though the ceiling is about 5'7" only the seat and steering wheel are generally big and there is lots of space more often than less space. There is a 6'4" guy who drives and he looks so big but comfortable in that cockpit lol.

I'm 14 too but mum measured me and I'm already 6ft, my 6'4 father has his head about 2cm away from hitting the roof in her 2018 Hyundai i30 or Elantra hatch if you are from America. With newer cars its slightly easier. My Father has just bought a 2007 Ford Galaxy. He's 6'5'' and I'm 6'10'' and we can both drive it. Most new cars tend to have controls that adjust the heights of the seats, which also helps a fair bit. All new VWs seem to have this as well.
Go sit in a Chevy BOLT EV! I own one and I'm 6'6''. It is completely electric and will literally blow the doors off all the cars you reviewed in this video. It's FUN to drive, my legs are almost straight with the sit back and I have a good 5" of clearance between my head and the ceiling! It's also great not having to ever buy gas, spark plugs, oil changes, tuneups, etc.
I drive a Ford Explorer XLT and at 5’11 I’m wayyyyy too tall, the head support is too short and I can barely see out the back window. So long story short even SUVS can be pretty awful for taller people.
I'm 6'7" tall (38" inseam) and I have a 2018 Camaro SS 1LE. I have enough headroom to wear a helmet (no sunroof). Knee room was tight, but I designed a 2" extension for the steering wheel, and now I can track the car with confidence. I love it! I also have a 1973 Datsun 240Z and no one believes it when they see me get out. But it's actually very comfortable. I've frequently spent all day in it on road trips.
Same with my Audi S5. It actually fits because it's so low but when I get out of it I feel like I'm coming off the floor and my knees can't take it anymore.
Is that mean I can't drive comfortably in a BRZ/GT86 with my 6'2 height? Damn it was my dream entry level sportscar. (Oh, and Golf 7 has pretty room for us, tall people.)
I'm around 6'5 (or 195cm). Just a little note on the mustang: the convertible actually offers (slightly) better headroom. And yes, i do mean with the top closed ;-) Also, these results may change for different tall people since some have longer legs, other longer upper body....
When I was Grade 4 I was the tallest kid sitting at the very back, there was a bulletin board that stretches like I think 3 inches of the wall. Sometimes i'd hit my head on it very hard.
it makes sense in countries where larger cars are pricier than smaller cars, say, almost the entirety of west europe. Being tall does not mean you want to spend up to 150 euro's a month more on a car while you don't even like cars.
There are a few elements missing from this video that are critical for talls: 1. B pillar placement. When I have seat all the way back (I'm 6'-7"), is my elbow behind the B-pillar? Often it is, and that is very uncomfortable on longer drives when you wish to put your left arm up. Also at drive through windows when you need to reach out your window. Whack! that is the sound of my elbow painlully hitting the B-pillar 2. center dash curvature above left knee. So many cars forget that drivers have left legs, with knees. Corvette is classic example. I can fit my leg under the steering wheel, but I can't bend my leg enough to get a foot on the gas peddle because the damn dashboard is in the way. 3. Sun visor placement. If my head is above the top of windscreen/sun visor, then I can't see straight ahead without craning my neck. Several of the vehicles had this problem, but because Cody wasn't driving, it was not notices. Trust me, 30 seconds on the road will show this flaw! Otherwise, enjoyable topic. I am a true believer (and sufferer) in the Conspiracy Against the Tall
my dad is 6'4 and has really broad shoulders, we looked at buying a 2018 Mazda 2 and with the seat lowered all the way and all the way back he could barely get in (it actually took like 2 min for him to get in). We then realised that he could not sit straight and had to sit at an angle to fit between the passenger seat and the b pillar. Safe to say we didn't by that car.
6’7” here all legs. A late model German sedan is really the only comfortable car outside of the Lincoln continental for tall people if you don’t like trucks.
I cannot afford custom cars and im 7'1 but skoda yeti in EU is a great choice for tall people who would like to fit in a small SUV. Custom vette? Im jelous!

We're in the process of making a second "cars for tall people" video and we actually tested a Miata. Not a whole lot of headroom in the car, but other than that, it was actually pretty good!
Hi. I'm not a freakishly tall dude at all being barely 6'4", but have to say your review is spot on. I'm not a freak. Shut up! Especially for the Nissan 370Z, I sat in one of these several years ago and it was horrible. ridiculous. 8 year old toy car interior. Any degree of comfort ends at basically 5' 6" even then...no way to avoid rubbing your skull on the ceiling every once in a while or all the time. Driving hell. Needless to say, I crowbarred myself back out and saw them as torture/death devices to run from screaming ever since.
Some tall people can afford a 911. The video is meant to test which vehicles work well for tall people, not which cars work well for people on a budget.

One of those freaks here at 6’6”. I pretty much fit into all pickup trucks and larger SUV’s, but nothing smaller except some sports cars, I find American cars to be a bit roomier as Americans tend to be larger people, my dad has a corvette and I fit fine both in the passenger and driver seat.
I'm 6'4 and have no trouble with my BRZ. I just scoot the seat all the way back. It's not like I use the rear seats anyway, I just fold them down for extra room to put things.

I used to drive an E46. To be comfortable, I had to lean the seat all the way back. No one could sit behind me at any time, and I’m two inches shorter than your dad.
As another freak at 6"5' I'm telling you, you forgot about the most important criteria: visibility. It can be pretty dangerous when we can't see what's going on properly because our heads are much higher than what the designers had in mind.

I have to admit, at 6'9" and 260lbs; I've definitely imagined owning, let alone driving a sports car. Sadly for me, that concept is Considerably Situational. I've sat in the drivers seat of later model Mustang, Corvette, Camaro, Porsche, and even Ferraris. Also more current models as well. None gave me the ability to enjoy sitting in them without smashing my knees, or having b to tilt my head. Now... A classic, super charged ,1971 Chevelle; midnight blue with big tiers on the back... was Explicitly different. Big body, low Position seats, gave me not only the ability to drive comfortably... But a passenger could sit behind me while in it !! If the car advertises to fit more then 4 grown adults, find a friend 6'5" or taller. Put it to the test!

Im going to expand on this. Im 6ft 4. First off, short people will tell you to get trucks or SUV's because they have no fucking idea what its like to actually be tall. So heres some real world for tall peeps:
1. Not every car will fit everyone the same size. It drastically matters if you have a long torso, or longer legs. 6ft 4 can have one longer then the other, this will make a huge difference. Longer legs = needs lower sitting seats. Longer Torso = less head room, might need to avoid sun roofs.
2. Lower seats = more leg room.
3. SUV's and Trucks have raised seats that dont sit low or bucket. I hate them, and will never own a truck or SUV again for this reason. Distance to the pedals is horribly close and uncomfortable for us long leg type.
4. Ive found for me (long legs) coupes work well. Mainly because the B pillar is pulled further back.
5. Heres some cars I fit great in: VW Golf GTI, Hyundai Genesis Coupe (The higher trim level lets you lower the seat), Mustang, Camaro, Nissan Maxima, Mazda 3 and 6.

I drive yard trucks at work....being big is clearly advantageous even though the ceiling is about 5'7" only the seat and steering wheel are generally big and there is lots of space more often than less space. There is a 6'4" guy who drives and he looks so big but comfortable in that cockpit lol.

I'm 14 too but mum measured me and I'm already 6ft, my 6'4 father has his head about 2cm away from hitting the roof in her 2018 Hyundai i30 or Elantra hatch if you are from America. Mum is like 5'2 though so she didn’t really understand when I asked if I could use my dads 2011 SUV instead when I get my L's.

With newer cars its slightly easier. My Father has just bought a 2007 Ford Galaxy. He's 6'5'' and I'm 6'10'' and we can both drive it. Most new cars tend to have controls that adjust the heights of the seats, which also helps a fair bit. All new VWs seem to have this as well.

Go sit in a Chevy BOLT EV! I own one and I'm 6'6''. It is completely electric and will literally blow the doors off all the cars you reviewed in this video. It's FUN to drive, my legs are almost straight with the sit back and I have a good 5" of clearance between my head and the ceiling! It's also great not having to ever buy gas, spark plugs, oil changes, tuneups, etc.

I drive a Ford Explorer XLT and at 5’11 I’m wayyyyy too tall, the head support is too short and I can barely see out the back window. So long story short even SUVS can be pretty awful for taller people.

I'm 6'7" tall (38" inseam) and I have a 2018 Camaro SS 1LE. I have enough headroom to wear a helmet (no sunroof). Knee room was tight, but I designed a 2" extension for the steering wheel, and now I can track the car with confidence. I love it! I also have a 1973 Datsun 240Z and no one believes it when they see me get out. But it's actually very comfortable. I've frequently spent all day in it on road trips.
Same with my Audi S5. It actually fits because it's so low but when I get out of it I feel like I'm coming off the floor and my knees can't take it anymore.

I'm around 6'5 (or 195cm). Just a little note on the mustang: the convertible actually offers (slightly) better headroom. And yes, i do mean with the top closed ;-)
Also, these results may change for different tall people since some have longer legs, other longer upper body....
I'm 6.1 with very long legs and I recommend every Honda Accord if you're on a budget, especially the coupe!

I drive a 996 Porsche and I'm 6'7", it's a little smaller but I removed the center console and did the steering wheel replacement it is perfect.

There are a few elements missing from this video that are critical for talls:
1. B pillar placement. When I have seat all the way back (I'm 6'-7"), is my elbow behind the B-pillar? Often it is, and that is very uncomfortable on longer drives when you wish to put your left arm up. Also at drive through windows when you need to reach out your window. Whack! that is the sound of my elbow painlully hitting the B-pillar
2. center dash curvature above left knee. So many cars forget that drivers have left legs, with knees. Corvette is classic example. I can fit my leg under the steering wheel, but I can't bend my leg enough to get a foot on the gas peddle because the damn dashboard is in the way.
3. Sun visor placement. If my head is above the top of windscreen/sun visor, then I can't see straight ahead without craning my neck. Several of the vehicles had this problem, but because Cody wasn't driving, it was not notices. Trust me, 30 seconds on the road will show this flaw!

my dad is 6'4 and has really broad shoulders, we looked at buying a 2018 Mazda 2 and with the seat lowered all the way and all the way back he could barely get in (it actually took like 2 min for him to get in). We then realised that he could not sit straight and had to sit at an angle to fit between the passenger seat and the b pillar. Safe to say we didn't by that car.
6’7” here all legs. A late model German sedan is really the only comfortable car outside of the Lincoln continental for tall people if you don’t like trucks.

We're in the process of making a second "cars for tall people" video and we actually tested a Miata. Not a whole lot of headroom in the car, but other than that, it was actually pretty good!

Hi. I'm not a freakishly tall dude at all being barely 6'4", but have to say your review is spot on. I'm not a freak. Shut up! Especially for the Nissan 370Z, I sat in one of these several years ago and it was horrible. ridiculous. 8 year old toy car interior. Any degree of comfort ends at basically 5' 6" even then...no way to avoid rubbing your skull on the ceiling every once in a while or all the time. Driving hell. Needless to say, I crowbarred myself back out and saw them as torture/death devices to run from screaming ever since.

One of those freaks here at 6’6”. I pretty much fit into all pickup trucks and larger SUV’s, but nothing smaller except some sports cars, I find American cars to be a bit roomier as Americans tend to be larger people, my dad has a corvette and I fit fine both in the passenger and driver seat.

I'm 6'4 and have no trouble with my BRZ. I just scoot the seat all the way back. It's not like I use the rear seats anyway, I just fold them down for extra room to put things.
Toyota Soarer has tons of room too for us tall guys! ;) More room than the Supra, but same chassis and brakes and suspension, etc.
