Totally agree with what you said; Rens music and lyrics are todays punk/punk rock. He's very outspoken! Watch his 1m subscribers video on defining success to understand what I mean ❤ Anyway while this isn’t technically your first “Rencounter”, I think it’s the time to say welcome to the multitalented genius Ren! You’re barely scratching the surface and looks like you’re already hooked 😂 And yes, he spits truth. Our favourite sick boi is pure authenticity, vulnerability, and fire 🔥 He has been through hell and he has turned it all into art that helps other people. Hi Ren is definitely a must and Troubles is a great track for more insight into his journey with illness and years of misdiagnosis. But another perfect follow up to this track is one of my personal favourites that doesn’t get nearly as much attention as it deserves: Crutch feat. Bibi. It’s an older song from before Ren was finally correctly diagnosed with Lyme disease and was written after a breakdown following multiple emergency trips to the hospital. It is heart wrenching and stunning. If Sick Boi is an expression of the built up frustrations from being misdiagnosed for years, Crutch is the earlier fear when getting sick and not knowing what is happening to you. The song is also very different from everything else in his catalogue. Really though there are no bad picks. The Ren rabbit hole is deep and wide, but every part of it is worth exploring - including the bands Trick the Fox and The Big Push. Just a little help to guide you: While I’m sure plenty of people will tell you to react to the trilogy of tales in the correct order, it is often overlooked that there are a few other songs best done in order of release (though doesn’t have to be in one sitting): Freckled Angels -> Suic!de -> For Joe. Hope to see you deep down the rabbit hole with the rest of us 🐰🕳️
I straight up sobbed the first 10 to 15 times I watched this. So much so that I would go outside and smoke, come inside and my gf would say, "You look like you've been crying. You watched Hi Ren while you were out there didn't you?" Indeed I had. I'm desensitized after almost two years but when I see a reactor get hit in the same parts I did those times, it takes me back and tears fall. I just want to give you all big hugs. I'm here for your Ren journey. Strenght and peace, brother.
The context of the issues is important. Ren's explanation video has receipts. Short version, Kujo Beats sold Ren a beat on an unlimited license, said beat had an unlicensed sample in it. The sample's owners came to Ren's lawyer for publishing $, who sent them to Kujo, who then tried to extort more publishing money (and royalties) out of Ren, lying and defaming Ren in public and taking Sick Boi off YT with an illegal copyright strike. Ren tried to work with Kujo to resolve but ultimately Ren fought back. Unlike others, I think you should do Kujo Beat Down next.

With Ren going back to Canada into treatment in October I love that we are getting amazing reactors I know he appreciates all of it. You should watch his Thank You for 1M subs video. Gives great insight to Ren as a person not just an artist.
The controversial beat involved the choral voices. Don’t know how much else was from kujo, but Ren played with it after purchase anyway. But the voices were the part kujo didn’t clear.
Great reaction there is a sick boi part 2 very very good 30 days between - his collabs - trick the fox - busking - big push- videos and random posts you will have to do 5 - 6 videos a day to make it through his full catalog
Great reaction! ❤ Ren has only recently returned to his home town in the UK after a year and a half of treatments for autoimmune conditions and brain damage caused by nearly 7 years of untreated Lyme's Disease. Drs thought his symptoms were all psychological and pumped him full of psych meds which made things a lot worse. And all before he was 30. Ren has truly suffered. However, Ren's incredible resilience, ridiculous hard work and love for music helped him to where he is today. Entirely self taught on all instruments he plays, he also priduces his own music , creates his own beats, acts, sings and directs most of his own amazing videos (which usually are filmed on a shoestring budget by one of his best friends Sam or Luke) many of which are live, one takes. All this as an entirely independent artist. I hope this glimpse into this incredible artist will help u understand him more as you go forward into his extensive catalogue. Don't expect him to follow any specific genre...he's kind of created his own as well as perfectly able to do any he wants to. Looking fwd to your next Ren reaction ❤

Oh hell yeah! 30 days still wouldn’t be enough but I’ll let you figure that out on your own. As you start down the REN path you’ll realize some inherent themes (1. Distaste for greed 2. Love for family, friends and fans 3. Intrinsic rightness and moral good). I’ve never been more captivated and affected by another individual. I reiterate, 30 days won’t be enough. Love for family, friends and fans 3. Intrinsic rightness and moral good). I’ve never been more captivated and affected by another individual. I reiterate, 30 days won’t be enough.
