My Dad and brothers hunted together. Our son in law and grandson hunt together, and this year, for the first time, they invited my hubby. New compound bow and arrows,hunting clothes, and license,knives, and all that good stuff was bought, no deer year but memories to last a life time....with every penny!

Just a warning about dogs and rawhides. They can get stuck in their intestines. Vets warn about them. Please be careful if Kenji swallows a piece.

Those seperate little houses used to be called weening houses for newly grown kids, newly weds ect. ! My husband's Mom, her parents gave the adult kids a year in the weening house to get on their feet before throwing them out in the big bad world. Glad to see Families doing this again.

Sometimes that's how construction is ,and everyone just has to work together. It's awesome to see how big of a response you get for the toy drive, and donations. Me with eight grandchildren and another one on the way, there's only so much to go around.

To see your children bond with each other is beautiful. Kyra and Elijah, have a very close bond and your older children with the little ones is truly a beautiful sight. The respect and love you all have for each other is fantastic. The bonding between father and son going on hunts together is something the boys will always remember and cherish. Again, y’all have inspired me. After watching all summer, I finally had enough saved to hire repair/renovation work (I have an awesome contractor). I can’t do the work myself, but I can help. I’m on day two of “helping” and took a break. I may think I’m 16, but being a few weeks away from 72, my back aches sooner rather than later, however my energy levels have really improved this year. Actual construction starts Monday and should be finished by the end of the week. I teach Monday through Thursday now, but should be able to get off early enough each afternoon to continue “helping.” My contractor laughed and said it’s okay if I stay at school and grade papers.
Gabby is looking awesome and y’all rock! BTW: that was a HUGE mushroom.

That's what I call progress. Every bit done is closer to finishing. Trying to get the exterior done before winter set in, will be a race against time.

OMG I die every time you show the drive up your driveway!! The mountains are just so beautiful! I was born in Idaho, but we moved to the East coast when I was 2. I have always felt I should be living out west. I have been able to go back and visit as an adult and just love it. Thank you for sharing your lives with us.

I just love the fact you get to witness all 4 seasons where you are! Here in the uk it’s just dull and drizzly with a few sunny days. We hardly ever get snow anymore like we did when I was a kid. I unfortunately suffer with SAD and I’m dreading the months ahead.

Yes! Finally fall falls in. Love this season of the year. Then winter come there after. I love the cold too. So exciting to see everything coming in place with the house. More so all the amazing donations that have been donated. Such a blessing❤

I felt happy the boys were deer hunting & sad that Melissa talked about change happening wether we are ready or not! Right from mushrooms to rabbits? Wow! If you don't get your buck, remember that horses, if seasoned properly, are edible. They also require a lot less feed in the freezer than they do on the hoof.

It's always so special blessing to be able to spend time with your family especially your kids and your spouse. All the cosmetic work is coming into shape. All the main functions that goes into a beautiful place his family but this place is really looking good electricians in their plumbing is getting done and everything else that matters matters.
