    4c is a lot maintenance but 4c plus fine strands and double maintenance

      4C and fine deserves its own category 😂 But once you learn your hair and work with it instead of fighting it…. It becomes a breeze.

    So many fine haired naturals have talked about henna as a really great treatment to strengthen fine strands. All these years, I've never done it but I think its time. Great GREAT tips!! Thank you!! I'm definitely a new subscriber 💛💛💛

    Thanks for the your insight! When your mom stops doing your hair you know it’s time to get on the natural train. I have cut all of my hair off, bleached it, dyed it pink, and now I am finding a way to retain my growth. Your wisdom and knowledge is helping me along the way.

      Thanks for watching! I’m glad this is helping you. Bleach and color can make the journey take a bit longer if your goal is super long hair. Maybe wax colors could be a healthy alternative? Best of luck to you - I know you will reach your goal 💚

    Protective styles work for me if my hair is moisturized real good. I like to put 20 marly hair braids in my hair and do nice pin up styles. That hair style can last me a month if I tie it up every night.

    I really like this video. I do. But I'm allergic to salicylates, which means natural doesn't make it better for me. What does the henna do? What would be a non-dye substitute for the henna? For example, is bentonite clay just as good for stretching?

    • @z4CNatural
      @z4CNatural  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Eva 👋🏾 Henna is a protein that strengthens the hair and also permanently binds to the hair creating thicker strands. It also tends to slightly loosen the curl if you use it often enough. You can use Olaplex number 3 to strengthen the hair instead, I actually use that now since it is less messy than henna. Be sure to follow it with a moisturizing deep conditioner. Olaplex won't thicken your hair like henna but it will prevent and repair damage. Bentonite clay can be used to "detox" or cleanse the hair but it is not going to strengthen it.

    If you want to grow thin fine here the best thing you can do for yourself is buying a very good don't tutti hair serum that deals with density pacifically like the ordinary or gorgeous but I find that the the two tickets at the two products together or the ordinary works very well but not obviously won't work for some additionally you must get hair strengthening cream or conditioner that you that is a leaving and also you must have a carotene or collagen or both together spray for your hair along with Jamaican black castor oil or a good car store this will help Thicken your hair help with density, MSM and good multi

    What's a "hanging bantu knot" at the end of your braids? Can you please do a tutorial for us on this tip?

    • @z4CNatural
      @z4CNatural  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I find that the hanging Bantu knot really preserves my ends. You basically fold the hair over and wrap it upward like a Bantu knot. I’ll do a video on this soon 💚

    When u say keep your hair stretched, do u mean keep it blow dried?

    • @z4CNatural
      @z4CNatural  3 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      No, I almost never blow dry. I stretch my hair by braiding (usually 8 big braids) while it is wet and letting it air dry. Doing this as opposed to doing a wash and go or letting it dry in a puff minimizes tangles, reduces split ends and makes it easier to work with.
