I don’t feel strongly about which veteran LT to sign or whether to sign one at all. However, getting two or even one starting tackle from Morris and Suamataia would be extremely valuable. I’m adamant about allocating snaps for them to develop, ideally with Morris getting snaps at RT. Sharing snaps seems inconsistent with Bakhtairi’s stated goals, although a reduced workload may be exactly what he needs.

They'd save under the cap and his deal was before the current t.v. deal, so picking up his contract might look like a good option for a team needing an OT. From what I've seen, Wanya Morris is a very solid linemen. The worst things I've seen him do is get confused on his assignment and the snap count, which can probably be attributed to rookie jitters. If Kingsley performs as good as as it seems like he will, then I don't think Wanya will beat him out, but I could see them rotating the 2 pretty often - or even have him end up playing a role sort of like Allegretti did, and learning different roles over time to be a more versatile plug in.

I still can't believe they didn't address the position earlier. It was the Chiefs' biggest position of need, not WR. Once again, Andy didn't have Veach be aggressive enough in the offseason. We need multiple WRs signed because of Rice's legal issues and we needed a quality LT signed so Mahomes doesn't have to run for his life all year. It looks like our WRs will be in a similar situation as last year and believe it our not, our LT pos will be worse off this year. Terrible. Veach is titled as our GM, but much like Bienenemy and Nagy as OC for the last 2yrs, Andy is really the guy in control. As said they day they hired Andy that he was a good HC & rebuild guy, but the Chiefs should NEVER give him full control. I was right, Andy is a terrible GM
